  1. I've seen some of the media guys mention Hickman as having a good camp and he seems to be at WR permanently now. I don't know if he emerges in the season or not yet, but he was praised for his blocking last year and if he turns into a pass catching threat there is 50/50 guy assuming Betts and Manning don't play much. Oh and don't forget Levi Falck. His name has come up and he is 6'2" so we may have a 50/50 threat emerge.
  2. My second snarky response was just in response to his initial snarky response in which he offered no evidence to my post that did include evidence. If you go back to the original statement I quote, it said Adrian's first two years were on par with Tommy's Sophomore and Junior. I was sharing that Adrian's freshmen year exceeded anything Tommy did (go check the evidence, it does) and Adrian's sophomore year was more on par with Tommy's sophomore and junior years. I never said better or exact just that his sophomore year was more comparative to those.
  3. This is where I have to give the B1G leadership some credit. They've theoretically put in place a plan that can prevent this from happening in their league with the daily testing and other plans. I think the SEC was only doing 3 tests per week which leaves a lot of room for a kid to be positive around teammates before they are tested. Also, I know on its face the 21 day minimum restriction for players testing positive seems extreme, but I think it may have been a deterrent. Several Nebraska players have already mentioned how they don't even want to risk it because you'll miss a third of the season. It might help cut back on the players who are cavalier outside of the program and help push a bubble mentality for players who want to play.
  4. I don't know I'd say any play that has an out or curl route or similar as the first option isn't really designed to score a TD. I mean in a curl you are literally going the wrong way when you catch it. An out route you're basically forced to go out of bounds. The goal is usually a first down or to pick up some yardage.
  5. Some teams are going to naturally have more attrition than others either to the NFL, guys just hanging it up or them not allowing players back regardless. So, the will probably create opportunity for guys to transfer.
  6. I wish Sir BoatyMcBoatFace had been correct and the season was starting tomorrow. Man I miss Husker football.
  7. I'm not trying to knock Tommy, but freshman Adrian was better than Tommy and sophomore Adrian was on par with those years with Tommy. Adrian has outrun Tommy every year except for his sophomore year where he went for 705. As a passer so far, Adrian has been consistently more accurate than even Tommy's best year and AM's passer rating his freshmen bested anything Tommy did and their sophomore years were similar. Tommy threw for a few more TD's and yards, but also more interceptions (with a few more games) than AM has. So, if we get freshman AM or better this year along with good OL and RB play we should see our best QB play in a long time.
  8. They should find a way to give a "visitor" remote access to a drone with video that they can fly around campus to explore. That'd be fun.
  9. What? Are you gonna look at this picture of Gates in 2015 and tell me that lifting was optional? Inconceivable!
  10. An outside linebacker in a 3-4 who had 30 total tackles and 4 TFLs is pretty average. For comparison a really good OLB would be like Wisconsin's Baun who had 52 solo tackles and 75 total with 19.5 for a loss and 12.5 sacks. We need a Baun really bad.
  11. Oh my gosh, what is going on with our culture/coaching that we can't keep talent from Fl.... oh wait...
  12. I saw a doctor talking about this and she said not to read super far into him getting out of the hospital. The White House has a full medical unit that's darn near an ER and they have all the equipment they need to monitor him. A regular person being sent home with no monitoring or maybe an O2 sensor and Trump back at the White House are very different things. He's still being monitored really closely.
  13. Yup definitely do! Thankfully we have it pretty well controlled right now.
  14. Ya I'm definitely not a doctor, but I've watched my daughter struggle to breath before and I'd be pretty panicked if I saw her breathing like that. She got RSV at 6 months and watching her retract when breathing was terrifying. I keep thinking about the timeline of others and he doesn't seem out of the woods yet.
  15. Watch how his chest contracts. That's hard to fake. My daughter has asthma and if we see her chest pull in like that we're headed straight to the ER. I think he's still laboring to breath watching that.
  16. So, the thought is that his tweet wasn't related to Javin Wright? Seems like the posts about Wright and Held's tweet were close together.
  17. I appreciate the redaction and acknowledging how perfect and correct I am.
  18. They said Luke is getting runs with the 1's last week so that's not a safe assumption at all it could just a well be Luke throwing high. Also at least one of those clips of Wandale jumping the ball hits him in his mid section so he didn't need to jump. He certainly threw high some last year, but seeing a couple of highlights where you can kind of assume maybe he threw it and then also assume he wasn't trying to get it over a LB underneath seems like an insane jump to criticize him.
  19. Ty Robinson continues to look like he is wreaking absolute havoc in the middle of our offensive line. I hope that's because he is becoming an absolute beast and not because our Oline is going to continue its issues in the middle. It'd be a game changer to have a nose/DE that requires double/triple teams.
  20. Seriously?? In the rest of this play the receiver does not need to jump to catch the ball. In video with receivers jumping you can't even see who threw the ball. And finally, if you're making a highlight video are you going to choose the video of the receiver making a routine catch or the one of him 5 feet in the air, stretched out, one hand reaching for a ball over 3 defenders? (If you choose the first one don't go into highlight video creation). Last year people said Verdu messed with his motion too much, now it hasn't been fixed, fans are insane.
  21. It's as simple as clicks = $$$. What makes more people click on an article? "Frost says Huskers will play anytime, anywhere" or "Frost says Huskers would play Uzbekistan, what's the over/under?" And that sums up the internet as a whole.
  22. This made me think of something interesting too. Lubick has called plays at a high level when he was at UW and Walters had never really been a high level play caller before. It might help Frost a lot in his calls to have Lubick up in the booth with his experience seeing things from above and in his ear.
