  1. I just don't understand these characters. You find them on Missouri, Colorado and KSU message boards. All they can do is talk about how much they hate husker fans. On the other hand, I sat by some Mizzou fans at last years game - and they were the nicest folks. It just sad that a few asshats have to spew crap like that.....I mean...cmon now, that poster is trying to incite violence with NU fans. Jerk!
  2. Would Keller count if he threw a cup? It seems that our "All Character" team would have mostly assault / fighting violations while Texas players got into trouble for smoking weed. I wonder what Colorado's "All Character" team would look like. Could you count the fans?
  3. I don't think that Josh has shown that he is "dangerous threat" by any means. He had one good game against Colorado and a decent game against Texas - other than that he had either played mediocre or poorly. During Spring game, he stunk up the field. He threw twice as many INTS and TDs over the course of last season. He had negative rushing yardage as well (this for a guy who many thought was a running threat). He has tools...no doubt. But, he hasn't shown that he can be consistent... Now he has shown that he is not willing to do the work in the off season that has to get done. Freeman was handed the starting position on a silver platter - so he has nothing to work for. There's no competition for him to compete for the starting job. I, for one, am happy that he decommitted because now he is a head case for KSU and Princess.
  4. Remember this quote made by Cally after Josh Freeman reneged on his commit at the 11th hour before signing day? "We want players who want us because we feel that Nebraska is a special, special situation....If you're a prima donna, if you're a drama queen, there's no room for you at Nebraska. You can go to K-State." Darius should feel fortunate that Nebraska offered him and pray that the coaches don't revoke the scholly. If Cally really believes in what he said about not having prima donnas and wanting players who feel that Nebraska is a special situation, then he should get on the horn with Darius and lay in on the line - "if you are 'N' because you know that Nebraska is the place to be...great! If not, we're taking back the scholly offer so that a kid that really wants to play for Nebraska can use it." I get really tired of these players who make a commitment than immediately start shopping. His statements "it's just a verbal commitment" and "Nebraska is the best offer that i have right now" seems like he is hoping for a "better" offer somewhere. His attitude irritates me, as well.
  5. I think that Demens will be 'N' - but that he feels compelled to visit Michigan first before making a decision. I really think that if Michigan hadn't offered him so late, he would be a Wolverine lean. However, since Nebraska coaches has given him a lot of love, he will pull the trigger and announce that he wants to be a Husker.
  6. Never fear. Through my insiders, I have acquired the seven questions that he will ask? They are as follows: Question #1: Why would Nebraskans ask to have tomato juice poured into a perfectly good beer? Question #2: Can Demens come to NU with me? Question #3: Do I look good in red? Question #4: Lil' Red scares me.....could you get him to stop jumping around so much? Question #5: Can I have the same tutor as Tommy Lee? Question #6: What's a runza? Question #7: When can I sign my LOI to be a HUSKER!!!!!!!?
  7. Why is it that every post that you submit has to be negative? You must be a very unhappy person. Can't you say anything good about the coaches or the program. You have to "poo(h)" on everything.
  8. I was just wondering why you would think that Callahan is on the hot seat? Black eye for the program? How do you figure? I think one to two games is just, yet I seem to think that you have a greater punishment in mind - perhaps getting kicked off the team? I'm just puzzled by your response. What would you have done in Callahan's place?
  9. Which board was this topic discussed? I couldn't find it on Allbuffs.com
  10. I don't have the team rule book in front of me, but don't you think that he violated at least one tiny rule? I'm thinking 'yes' and that he will be disciplined somehow. One or two games is my guess....but who knows.
  11. Did a woman send out a note? Did a robber receive the note, laughed and threw it away? Did an Australian, by chance, also receive the same note? Did he discard it as well? Did a Reverend, or similar religious figure, receive the same note? Did it make him sad? I just want to get some "yes" responses for a change. Now for the "no" responses: Would the woman benefit monetarily from sending out the note? Would others beneift monetarily if they fulfilled the instructions? Would a third party benefit monetarily from the note? Was the Reverend "sad" because he could not fulfill the instructions / note's request? Did the note contain some sort of threat? Was the Reverend "sad" because of the woman's plight? Was the woman in danger? Someone close to her in danger? Were the recepients of the note abitrary? Or were they sent to specific people? Instead of Austalian, could the person have been from any other country? Or, is the fact that he is from Australian significant?
  12. Did the woman ASK for money? And stated the reason why?
  13. cmb23.....you're dead to me. i was just getting to the answer. Curse you and your illustrations!!!!!
  14. Was the purpose of his trip of importance? Was he trying to circumnavigate the world on a plane? or something of that nature? Was the aircraft a plane? A balloon? Did his craft run out of fuel? Was the object that he was floating on a part of the aircraft?
  15. I voted Ohio because Frank Solich was the best coach ever at Nebraska, and he was wrongfully terminated, and he is a fantastic recruiter, and I like the option, and I like the Ohio uniforms and he is destined to turn that program around, and he is obviously an offensive genius, and he has little yellow teeth that are bearly observable since he doesn't seem to smile much...which is really cool if you're a coach, and all those rumors about him having an affair while he coached here were unfounded because Frankie is a standup guy and I am sick of slanderous vile people putting Frankie down, and did you know that once his alcoholic drink was spiked with a date rape drug because there is no way in hell that Frank would be the type of guy that would drink and drive, and the University of Nebraska will never achieve the heights that it once had because the program is cursed after dismissing Solich.....did I mention that he was greatest option coach ever at Nebraska?
  16. Getting him here is half the battle! Sure hope the Gray can join him, too. Hopefully, after his visit, he will no longer be "confused" and decide that Nebraska is the right place for him.
  17. I respect your opinion, but I would disagree with it. Mizzou is competitive and represents as being a rival to us in winning the B12 north, but I don't feel as intense to have us beat them as I do when we play Colorado or KSU. With that criteria (the team that the fans want to beat the most and hate the most), I would say that KSU and Colorado would be our fiercest rivals (though we ardently try to deny it because they are not up to our standards as a football program). I mean....what two teams do you dislike the most in the B12 North? As much as we would like to minimize the rivalry between Colorado and KSU (mostly, I think to piss them off), I think that the Husker fans dislike those two teams the most. Personally, I dislike Princess and Freeman and have utter contempt for Colorado and their fans. So, in my book, Colorado and KSU are the biggest rivals we face. I don't feel the same way towards OU or Texas (even Mizzou), I respect those teams and their programs. When we meet, my attitude is "let's have a good competitive game...may the best team win". My attitude when we play Colorado or KSU is "let's destroy them!".
  18. Nebraska and Georgia Tech may be his favorites now, but it appears that if ND offered, he'd change that in a heartbeat.
