  1. Badger related post & Nebr. kid I saw posted by SSO. Not sure if he's incredibly brave or incredibly stupid.
  2. I know. I was just amused how everything regarding this program / personnel get put under a microscope then commented on. That comes with the territory. If nobody cared or paid attention we'd be Kansas.
  3. First we have no opening statement at media days. Now we have a 47 y.o. man who's put on a little weight which is unheard of, especially in our society.. Shocking, simply shocking.
  4. Unfortunately, now they just pull up the record for the last 7 seasons and show it to us.
  5. They need to come out against NW, blow them out of the game in the first half (1st quarter would be better) and then keep their foot down the second half. It would go a long way in stoking some fan enthusiasm. Heaven forbid they loss to NW. The stadium would be like a morgue for UND & Georgia So.
  6. Yeah, if history means anything we actually have had one win each against Purdue & Minn under HCSF. No wins against Wis. & Iowa. 2-13 facing those four is downright embarrassing.
  7. In schedule order. Better make the best of the first half of the season IMHO. #9 @ Northwestern #10 North Dakota #12 Georgia Southern #4 Oklahoma #11 Indiana #7 @ Rutgers #2 @ Purdue #7 Illinois #3 Minnesota #1 @ Michigan #5 Wisconsin #6 @ Iowa
  8. 2023 Recruiting and the Nebraska in-state class
  9. Not very encouraging to hear this. Fifty years ago it was somewhat the norm for many players to report to camp out of shape hence you had two-a-days to whip them into better shape ASAP. But in this day and age of close to 365 football and working on the play book from day 1 the coaches can't be thrilled to see this.
  10. I was going to post the same thing. The entire world hates us and it out to get us! Woe is me, woe is me. /s
  11. A good way to have taken care of that problem would have been not to act so "childish and jerkish on the sidelines".
  12. Perfect fit with for somebody with the name Decoldest.
  13. Didn't help much in the Iowa game either. Although in fairness, that one wasn't on the kicker since the blocking scheme was for our right footed rugby style kicker when we actually had our left footed conventional style kicker in the game and didn't block the left edge rusher. A perfect case study for our special teams ineptitude the last 4 years.
  14. Probably wants to get out of there ASAP too. Fan day this afternoon and 1st practice tomorrow.
  15. Did he say why? Not up to speed on the playbook, pass catching, blocking etc.???
  16. This all makes more sense of something I heard a couple of weeks ago but didn't quite understand. I was listening to the HuskerOnline podcast and during the mailbag segment somebody asked why the coaches had no online reaction to the latest commit. Callahan replied "Oh boy" then proceeded to dance around the question stating many of the coaches are away at this time of year on vacation. Then he ended by stating "There's something there I'll say" which basically told me something is going on but he isn't at liberty to say what. So either they didn't accept his commitment or if they did and found he was just using it as a placeholder and still looking around decided to cut him loose.
  17. On a positive note, we are playing the #6 & #7 picks from both divisions this year.
  18. Not when you're playing NW, North Dakota, Georgia Southern, Indiana & Rutgers. When I pick the season record I'm in the 5-7 area based on all we've seen the last 4 years. But when I look at those first 6 games I just can't get it out of my mind we should be 5-1 at worst or 6-0 if we are lucky.
  19. When you've only won 4 B1G road games in 4 years no game is a lock. Just look at Ill. last year.
  20. I see this as a good thing. By Oct. 15 NU hopefully will be 5-1 (or 6-0 in my dreams) and before we get into the tougher part of the season.
  21. I was referring to admo's mention of being in the top 25. For the record I don't see us being 8-4 or being in the top 25.
  22. I'd be thrilled with 8-4 regardless. And being in the top 25 would be a cherry on top but far from being necessary. But I'd be happy with 6-6 and going to bowl too.
