  1. I believe you have to make a special request to get paper tickets. Do you not have a smartphone? Electronic tickets are soooo much easier/better IMO.
  2. Suppose we have a formation featuring both Ervin and Johnson. Would that be called the Magic Package? ….I’ll see myself out.
  3. Seems like a bad idea to me. https://apple.news/APXX-GnB0Ty6E11F1dReT3g
  4. ND had an endowment larger than any other P5 CFB university I believe. They value their independence, but potentially being left out of a playoff would be probably the only thing that gets them to give it up. Of course that would likely also mean more $$, but money isn’t their primary motivator. They already have tons of it.
  5. Eventually, maybe even soon, both the B1G and the SEC will be 20+ and will rule/govern CFB playoffs. Any program left out won’t have a seat at the table. Potentially being left out of the CFP would be the only reason ND decides to get on board. This was told to me by a VERY reliable source.
  6. Maybe Kevin Warren was a good hire after all. This is pretty impressive.
  7. 7-5 with loses to OU, Purdue, Minny, UM and Wisky. Frost will be retained because a win over Iowa will be the difference. OU -- we haven't beaten a team clearly "more talented" than us for a long while Purdue -- Brohm has our number, they will be good and it's in West Lafayette Minny -- Fleck knows how to play Nebraska better than anyone UM -- We're just not getting out of the Big House with a W. We're not deep enough for a late season task like that. Wisky -- Our front 7 will be pretty beat up by then and will struggle to stop the run against that giant line and those backs. I doubt anyone blows us out, though. Maybe UM if we're thin with injuries in key spots.
  8. I don’t because that scenario would mean beating only the crappy teams while losing to everyone with a pulse, including our main division rivals. That’s certainly not progress.
  9. Those things could have factored into it too. No one can really knows for sure. My opinions are from a culmination what I've read on the subject and work discussions/experiences. I do know that at the hospital I work at we saw a huge decrease in critically ill COVID cases when Omicron began to be the dominant circulating strain.
  10. Omicron = more transmissible, less virulent, provided immunity from Delta --so Delta essentially went away because of Omicron. Delta = high virulence (more hospitalizations, increased death risks, long COVID, etc) I'm in no way minimizing any of the Omicron's strains. Especially since they appear to be adept than Delta at resisting vaccination antibodies vs just waning immunity. But Delta was bad and caused more lung effects that Omicron has so far. We are fortunate with that. I'm still going to be signing up for the first booster with BA.4/BA.5 protection, though.
  11. I agree. We absolutely need some of those newer guys to be productive. Only way is to get them snaps.
  12. I agree with this 100%. I would argue that at 3-9, we weren't "close" to anything other than maybe 4-8 or at best 5-7. We were who we were. A team that couldn't get out of it's own way every single time when we weren't playing a bad team.
  13. Disagree. I'd wager that in most cases "Religious exemptions" from non-vaxers are bogus excuses for their political decisions. No one is forcing them to remain in the health care field. We're all fortunate that Omicron bailed us out from Delta.
  14. 100 days in jail? SMH. This why white collar crime exists. Of course he's not going to turn on Trump for a "slap on the wrist".
  15. The DOJ should, and it looks like will, fight the release of the affidavits until indictments are either made or declined. I wouldn't think they would want to show what they had while they're still investigating. I get that this is high profile, but isn't that one of the most basic investigating principals?
  16. Makes sense as Johnson finished '21 as the starter, Ervin was the game 1 starter in '21 and if you believe coach speak is back to form and Grant was the top JUCO and by all accounts has been doing well in camp. As the season wears on, it's hard not to imagine 1 or 2 getting nicked up and missing some time, so I think Yant will see some decent reps as well as some flashes of Allen/Emmet J. --although it would be nice to be able to limit them to 4 and preserve their shirts.
  17. They also have a Field Turf outdoor practice field. Good to have both.
  18. Apparently it’s not that clear cut. Towards the end of the article: https://www.npr.org/2022/08/10/1116802732/making-sense-of-trumps-current-legal-troubles KELLY: You just teed up my next question. Any of this effectively able to stop him from launching another White House bid? MCQUADE: I don't think so. You know, there's been some talk this week that one of the charges, 18 U.S.C. Section 2071, has a provision in it for someone who wrongfully retains government documents shall be disqualified from serving in future federal office. But I can't imagine that that would pass constitutional muster when it comes to the president. That office, the qualifications are defined by the Constitution. I don't think you can use a statute to supersede that. So I don't think so. I think we could have this very unusual situation where someone could be charged and simultaneously running for president.
  19. Some should take the wait and see approach. Nobody knows all the details. Maybe he’s motivated and in top shape…..it’s coach Fish. He knows what he’s doing.
  20. One of Palmer’s kick return TD highlights he dropped it, then picked it up again. So maybe he’s not as consistent fielding the kicks?? He (Palmer) sure can run, though.
  21. Not too surprising. We know he can run from his JC film. I’ll bet he catches the ball and takes care of it consistently. Good for him. You know what I’m saying?
  22. Oh great. Just what we need. Congress getting involved. What can go wrong?
