  1. Agree 100%. Something has to be done. If this is it, then at least it’s better than nothing. I would like to see a lot more done, but starting small is probably the only way to get something passed.
  2. Did that guy really just kick the person on the ground who just got pelted with a golf ball?
  3. I haven’t actually watched him in quite a long time. Sometimes political satire is on the tube at the house and I may check it out if I’m bored, but usually it’s John Oliver or The Daily Show if anything. I do find Oliver entertaining.
  4. I guess it could be a good problem to have, but I feel like there’s not going be enough balls to carry or catch for all of the potential talent. Some guys will not be happy.
  5. Sometimes I agree with Maher, but yes he often can be an insufferable jacka$$.
  6. Both the riots and 1/6 were shameful. I get what you’re saying, but I think he was speaking to who he thinks is his audience if you know what I mean. It seems that these days, people who are public figures, try to speak to who they think is listening or who they don’t want to outrage the most.
  7. Who are the two dude’s on Callahan’s right? I’m assuming Crawford and Bonner are in the red shirts.
  8. Are you talking about Melania and their marriage?
  9. It’s noteworthy that Chairperson Thompson made it clear that the Proud Boys weren’t at the rally, but we’re out near the Capitol while the rally was taking place —likely scouting out how they would make the breach. Basically suggesting that a conspiracy to attack was already planned and underway, which of course, strongly supports a Seditious Conspiracy theory. I would imagine they will eventually be able to provide evidence Trump’s team had communication with the PB beforehand. Hence the alleged multiple GOP pardon requests. Maybe Trump should have tried to pardon himself after all?
  10. Another problem, IMO, is that some on death row are executed literally decades after their conviction. Nebraska executed a man in 2018 for two murders he committed in 1979. Terrible crimes, no doubt, but how can it be justified to kill him almost 40 years later? Killing an older man for crimes his teenage self committed. Just seems wrong.
  11. And some GOP posters here (I won’t name anyone) went on and on about how Liz was fixated on 1/6 and not able to focus on “important” things and that’s why she got demoted in her party. I guess that kinda fell flat. She’s more of a patriot than McCarthy could even dream of being.
  12. It still amazes me that the police didn’t open fire on these losers attacking them.
  13. This. Similarly, I've always thought state senators and/or governors who vote for the death penalty should be required to witness one being carried out.
  14. What citizen has tanks, missiles and fighter jets? Which war did we lose in the Middle East? Serious questions.
  15. Yes, I agree. That was entirely inappropriate for Schumer to say that.
  16. Impressive science, but how bored does somebody have to be to sit down and figure this sort of thing out......Now I'm going to go puke.
  17. I think she knows her constituents and many republicans need to be told what to do and what not do (ingesting bleach is bad, Getting vaccinated is good, etc). So, I’d say Rep Bobbert is just providing guidance.
  18. I'm not a teacher, but I would agree with this. Do you know teachers who continue to support the Right, despite all of the Right's nonsensical solutions to school shootings? e.g. one entry point, more SRO's, armed-up ex-military stationed at schools, mental-health, etc
  19. No surprises here, but want to know what your NE GOP leaders think… https://www.ketv.com/article/nebraska-republicans-on-gun-violence-solutions/40182667
  20. Scary how close you came to something awful like that. I know two people who were in Von Maur in Omaha that tragic day. One left just before the shooting started and one was among those who hid in a storage closet and eventually were led out by police and had to walk near the assailant’s body in the process. I fear these types of shootings will even end up hitting close to home for virtually everyone in some way.
  21. I don't know they were both highly regarded. This just feels like another recruiting miss in the making. Maybe it's just because he's a local kid.
  22. Thank goodness we didn't offer this guy. I've heard that Elite 11 only picks crappy overrated quarterbacks. (
  23. I’m voting based on gun control stance. It’s realistically all I can do. After Sandy Hook, I contacted all my local senators urging them to support the gun control measures that were proposed at the time so that a similar terrible tragedy couldn’t happen again. They all voted against the measures. And here we are.
  24. I really hope this doesn't get moved.. People need to hear this guys rant.
  25. I'm not looking for an argument as I agree with pretty much everything you stated, but just curious..why did you feel the need to purchase an AR-15? I'm of the belief that there is no legitimate purpose that can't be solved with a non-assault gun--but I'm open to hear people out on that. Again, I'm not going to say you were wrong as I, myself a few years ago got on this whole home defense kick and purchased a Glock 9mm w/ multiple magazines including a 33 rounder which makes the gun feel unnaturally heavy and really serves no purpose. I've put lots of holes in paper targets, but looking back, it all amounted to nothing but a waste of money as they now sit unloaded in the gun safe gathering dust. My hunting shotgun makes a better home defense gun.
