  1. I’m not sure a fan can even be truly satisfied, because outside of another national title, you’ll always want more. Bring our culture and consistent play to the level of Wisconsin and I’ll be good with that. For a while, at least. I’ll eventually want to then start being mentioned along with OSU, UM and PSU as the regular year in and year out heavy hitters of the conference. Where opposing fans storm the field after upsetting us. You get get to that level and you give yourself a chance at another title.
  2. Not the same Minnesota. Early season MN<<<Minnesota now. Since their Purdue game they’ve been playing damn good football. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them beat Wisconsin. Fleck is doing a fine job for those Gophers.
  3. I agree. I’ve never really bought into the fast paced high scoring offense stresses your own defense because they get tired, etc. I don’t think it has to be that way. these players should be in outstanding physical condition plus with rotating in a good two-deep and all the media timeouts there should be plenty of time to get a breather.
  4. I never said we should have hired Riley. That was a dumb hire, but that’s totally irrelevant to the reasons BP was let go.
  5. Also the record of an occasional lunatic who alienated fans and would have been off to greener pastures as soon as his coaching stock rose. It’s more than just record.
  6. I was going more of the “as good as” rather than “better “ than AMart. But, generally I agree that AMart when healthy is the starter for good reason. I think the OP’s point was that, while he didn’t do anything spectacular, Vedral took care of the ball, ran well and passed with decent accuracy last night. AMart has been inconsistent with all those things this season.
  7. I agree the O line is the biggest problem currently, but I would add that the linebacker play has been atrocious. Both outside and inside.
  8. Disagree. None of this game was on Vedral. A healthy AMart last night and we would have had a similar result. If anything this game shows QB play hasn't been a major problem of this offense. It's never been more obvious how bad our O-line is. That, along with pedestrian receivers and undersized running backs would make any QB in the world look bad.
  9. Because our secondary isn’t good enough to routinely load the box. That was displayed several times tonight.
  10. He won’t let this level of ineptitude go that long.
  11. We’re pretty balanced run/pass, but I worry about the reliance on big plays. If you don’t recruit top 10, you better figure out how to grind out drives and control the clock. Oh and play defense.
  12. I wasn’t referring to Chinander being let go specifically. Our problems are much more widespread than one coach.
  13. No on both, but he’s going to have to make some tough decisions sooner than he would have liked to I’m guessing.
  14. Can’t blame them entirely. We have a big personnel issue on the lines. Seriously. Who on either side of our line would start for MN, WI or IA?
  15. Exactly. It’s about way more than just recruiting. Those teams don’t seem to have a problem turning their 3 star players into good football players.
  16. I agree. We were hoping to see a little progress in strength and toughness this year and if anything it’s been regression. Time for HCSF to swallow some pride and take a hard look at all the pieces of this program and figure this out.
  17. This is the type of game that shows if you’re team is A BIG Ten caliber team or not. So far we’re not. There are so many things that you could point to, but I will say that it doesn’t matter how much speed you recruit. If you don’t get some legitimate tough guys, we will be Maryland year in and year out.
  18. Follow a good play with a f up. Par for the course.
  19. Just watched it. I'd say definitely worth it for BB fans. Side note: Crazy that Robert Forster died today, the same day El Camino was released.
