  1. This team is really bad. Watching IU, Illinois, and Purdue this week...we lose all three.
  2. This team is a mess. Right now it looks like this Nebraska's first game of the year. Saying the D is settling in may be accurate...against an FCS team.
  3. Welp, watching Indiana and Illinois. I don't see us beating the latter as well as Purdue. We simply looked too bad against a meager NW team to see anything but 3 wins at this point.
  4. Three...maybe four. Watching Purdue and Penn State last night, Purdue looks so much better than us. That's an L for sure.
  5. I came off a bit harsh. Apologies. I do think the OP doesn't represent reality. Scott has been given plenty of time to right the ship. At first it was culture and buy in. Year two shifted to him being extremely optimistic but not understanding the why when things went poorly. Years three and four continued to show a miffed coach who believed the team needed to taste winning to have it change more outcomes. Mind you, this is four years from Riley's guys. Same results. Same press conference answers. Here we are. Year five. Another close, bad loss. It's not Riley's fault. It's not the team culture fault. It's not offensive creativity's fault. It's on Scott. Him. That's it. And the fact he doesn't acknowledge this more readily shows his narcissistic tendencies and has become one of NU's biggest problems. It impedes the development and progress of players and coaches. It's much of why we're 15-30 in his tenure.
  6. Not the whole answer, but part of it is not being in 2nd and 4 situations. Our D was pretty bad on Saturday, especially as the game wore on.
  7. I'd give you a laugh face but it only helps your reputation. Your original post doesn't deserve that... The indignation is deserved at this point.
  8. Someone told him the odds were close to his one score win %. Since he didn't know that he "let it rip!"
  9. May as well rip the bandaid off and know what you have as early as possible. I'm tired of limping along as a program.
  10. Seeing him for 4+ years, I wonder how much time he'd look inwardly vs. how much he would blame others or "bad luck"
  11. I wouldn't touch Herman. Zero class. We can do better.
  12. If an offside doesn't kill you, an onside will
  13. Whatever the motivation, same conclusion. Stupid call.
  14. Maybe all the "let it rip" has been a subconscious acronym message for his tenure. Rest In Peace.
  15. Speaking of film study, NW was 100% ready for the onside. I am continually impressed by teams that look like they study and listen to their coaches. That just tells you how bad Lincoln has been for so long.
  16. Yep. He's as loyal as a working girl on the Bunny Ranch.
  17. Good point. Callahan, Bo, Cream Puff, and Golden Child couldn't do it, maybe not as much risk to also stumble but high redemption/praise if you bring Nebraska back to prominence. Could he work for Trev? One thing that stands out on all the post game shows and commentary that reinforces what we know - Nebraska fans are the best in the country; loyal, travel well etc. Urban would have no shortage of support.
  18. Urb can still lean on his college brand despite a failed NFL stint. Curious what he'd think about the risk in that brand coming to Nebraska and not succeeding. I still think he's a hell of a coach and would be a marked...huge improvement to what we have today.
  19. The creativity in his comment is even more impressive. To be that bad for four years, and then make this bonehead remark is highly creative - creating a scenario in your head only you buy.
  20. Preceding Heinrich's tackling was his lack of anticipation and feel for a play, and then he looked very slow trying to get anywhere. Trifecta.
