  1. Look, man... I get that you have to use ads and all, but every damn time I change a page in a thread I get a freaking CU ad staring me in the face. “Celebrate with your herd”. Uh... No. I’d like celebrate with my bushel, but I’m stuck reading 10 posts per page and fighting off trash ads.
  2. Yeah, I agree. He’s a special player too. It’s going to be fun to watch this team grow over the next few years!
  3. Let Wan’Dale get as many touches as Taylor and then let’s have this conversation again.
  4. Huh? You’ve missed my point entirely. We don’t need a Jonathan Taylor when we’ve got Wan’Dale who can do the job just as well. Let’s give Wan’Dale a chance at RB. I don’t care if they look, lift, or move the same. Wan’Dale looked as good at the running back position as the best running back in the country regardless of how many jukes he makes... let’s give him the damn ball.
  5. I’m just going to say this too - He looked as good as Jonathan Taylor.
  6. I understand the difference in where he is playing for NEB vs CAL, I guess my question is why? He was a slot (or F) receiver at CAL vs the X or Z (depending on the personnel set) at Nebraska. He’s not playing the X or Z receiver well, so we need to do something different with him. He’s unable to make space or create any separation in fly routes or deep slants. Some of it is his strength and some of it is being unfamiliar with the X. Get Chase or Warner out there to play the X and let Noa play the slot where he thrives. We could also let Williams and McQuitty take those same X/Z spots. If we rotated JD, Wan’Dale and Noa at the slot, giving them a few breaks and keeping them fresh, we’d wear down the middle of the field more and create some opportunities for those wheel routes out of the slot, or the deep balls out of the X and Z for a guy like Warner. JD plays the Z extremely well, so we could keep him there more routinely as well. We don’t have a true X receiver. The other option is to run more two TE sets. It’s really interesting to watch how effective they’ve been in the 02 and 12 personnel sets. Having those large TE’s on the field at the same time has had a huge impact. If we’re going to beat OSU, they’re going to need to use those packages more. They were super effective last night and in the last game as well.
  7. B1G network last night on “Final Drive” said they believe Wan’Dale is every bit as good as Rondale Moore. Those of us that have been watching know that, but it’s exciting for those that haven’t paid attention in the press to start calling it out. Ohio State struggled last year with Moore, so here’s to hoping that Washington and Robinson make some major plays against them this year too. Maybe I’m crazy but... 1. Noa doesn’t seem to be running routes effectively. Stan got open a lot more than Noa. Every time a ball is thrown Noa’s way, he’s covered. 2. Mills is perplexing, and probably the most frustrating running back I’ve watched since Thunder Collins. 3. The Area 51 dingbat festival actually worked! There was an Adrian Martinez siting!
  8. The kids this staff are bringing in are special! They’re also A LOT bigger and faster.
  9. Yeah, not quite out by the river. All in town, but it was definitely a nice night for it. A little rain at first.
  10. I learned that if I get pissed and nearly throw my TV at half, but decide to spend the rest of the game on an angry walk, it actually feels pretty good.
  11. I agree, I don’t know what’s happening. We’re f#&%ing cursed.
  12. Yeah, sorry man. Not a fan of that kid. I want to like him, but he’s so damn stupid.
  13. The ref sounds like Charlie Brown’s Teacher of 15 years.
  14. I can’t stand him either. He’s worse than that lady at the beginning of the year. What was her name? Pat Millen?
  15. Look, Steve Austin, you get one vote like the rest of us. Stone Cold Stunner or not, your opinion is always only worth 1 vote. Democracy > Authoritarianism
  16. Who do you think recruited a lot of those kids now playing at UCF? Who recruited those kids on offense at Oregon? There is a major cultural issue and it didn’t come from this staff. Frost isn’t getting a pass from most of us because he is a home boy; it’s that most of us saw what the hell happened for the 3 years before he got here. Riley destroyed this team. It’s going to take time to recover from that. I agree. They’re already making mistakes, so they should have a fire under their a$$.
  17. The guys were getting in under this coaching staff will be great. Their size difference is crazy. Bryce Benhart is a monster. I was shocked standing on the sideline. Pads look little on that guy.
  18. I guess Montez must have talked himself out of that game. Hahahahaha!
  19. I agree. These are plays he made last year. I do think he’s got to run through progressions quicker/react quicker. A few of those plays he had the ball for 5 seconds+. The series after the first CU touchdown he starts off great, holding ball for 1 to 2 seconds before hitting an open target like the visuals I shared above. After seeing this stuff, I feel a lot better about the offense. They’re going to be fine.
  20. I think you’re right. Rewatching this, I notice he keeps his eyes fixated on one guy too long. Sometimes just waiting for the receiver to break open.
  21. Do you guys her that singing? “The snow glows white under our nose tonight, not a verdict to be seen, a kingdom of judgement here, But no one knows if he’s clean The wind is howling like texts with Videos inside, couldn’t keep them to himself, heavens knows he tried.... don’t share the video, don’t let them see, be the good guy you’re supposed to be, conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know... (send) $hit now they know!!!!! Let it go... Let IT go... Don’t judge Maurice anymore... Let it go... Let... IT... Go... The administration has closed this door... Here he stands, on 3rd down and 10... Throw him the d@mn ball... He ain’t going to jail anyway...
  22. They do for sure. Also Martinez has to get rid of the ball faster. Here are back to back series on 2nd and 3rd down and guys are wide open. 2nd down - Doesn’t get rid of ball fast enough to Wan’dale. Result: Terrible incomplete pass. 3rd down -Hold ball too long before throwing to Stoll. Result: waits 1.5 seconds longer and DB is on Stoll’s back. Punt... Next series 2nd down - Wide open receiver, but he runs for sideline. Result: loss of yard 3rd down - Washington wide open with linebackers on his heals. Potential for huge gain of safety on far side of field is blocked by WR. Martinez holds ball Result: Sack and Punt...
