  1. Let alone the little gotcha moment like "they're fretting over" slave labor when Nadler would be one of the first to advocate for fair wages and working conditions. Years ago I worked a seasonal position with about 40 migrants, most from the same family. We all had free housing and were paid the same. They all told me they'd go back home in the winter and live the good life. If ever a member of their family was caught loafing or not pulling their weight at work they'd run them off. They didn't want that reputation connected to their family as they valued their job situation so much. It was hard work for sure but far from slave labor.
  2. This comes just days after claiming they're doing everything they can just short of shooting migrants "because the Biden administration would charge us with murder". That's they caveat. Like "Believe me we would if we weren't going to be charged with murder".
  3. Since members of his own party are reticent about it at best or are in full throated support with his rhetoric, I guess the answer is: totalitarianism It's not like this hasn't been a constant talking point of his
  4. Oh no, not Bill O'Reilly.
  5. Even considering having such sordid books as the dictionary and the Guinness Book of World Records on the bookshelves in our schools is scandalous. These should have been pulled long ago. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-school-district-pulls-dictionaries-and-encyclopedias-as-part-of-sexual-or-inappropriate-content-review/ "Escambia County school district has included five dictionaries, eight encyclopedias and "The Guinness Book of World Records," in its list of more than 1,600 books that could soon be banned."
  6. When you're lamenting the fact that you can't shoot migrants trying to cross the border
  7. Well that is if you aren't simultaneously yelling out the window "f#&% you faggot!!!" at the guy commuting on his Long Haul Trucker
  8. You have to admit SNL skits pale in comparison to the daily proceedings of this congress.
  9. I think he's trying to drop his time from couch to fridge to under 5.0. Lots of interval training
  10. Oh no. I guess Maga will have to enlist Ted Nugent and Kid Rock to counter her with their legions of fans
  11. It's not a matter of whether this frivolous argument gets tossed, it's a matter of how far. If the courts sided with this argument then democracy is a dead man walking. It'd only be a matter of time before a situation that you are describing would be in place. Of course the chances are so incredibly remote that a criminal, narcissistic, wannabe dictator would rise to power with a sycophantic cult supporting him despite all evidence of his mendacity and corruption.
  12. Still waiting for Elise to provide more details on the Jan 6th "hostages" she's speaking of. I'm wondering what's taking her so long. As one of the leaders party of law and order she should have that information readily at hand.
  13. The rumor that Gerasimov was killed started on a Telegram channel and the post has since been deleted. Visegrad ran with the story prematurely and as a source has really dropped the ball a lot lately. Unfortunately, I don't think he's dead yet but I'd love to be wrong.
  14. They've had their chance multiple times. You're right. It isn't about policy. It's 100% about fealty to Trump. The litmus test is as simple as praise him and you're supported, speak out and you're banished. Exactly as a narcissist demands. The Republican party incubated this mess they are in now by letting it go on this long. If Trump leaves the party he'll take anywhere from around 30 to 50% of the GOP voters with him. He'll burn it to the ground before ever relinquishing his power over the party. Or the only other reason I can think of is they're all true believers. Either way the net effect is the same.
  15. I'd say it's as simple as they want to keep their jobs and the lifestyle that comes with it. That, and if Trump takes his ball, goes home, and forms a third party the Republican Party is tanked. Why else quite a few initially appalled by Jan 6th only to then flip back a few days later like McCarthy and Graham?
  16. This video was in a post earlier in the thread but since the level of crazy within the ranks of the GOP is being discussed, again, it's worth a look if you haven't seen it. This is apparently being amplified by the hands down, no questions asked, runaway leader of the GOP with little if any pushback from GOP leadership or even right-wing Christian leaders. The level megalomania fueled narcissistic blasphemy is off the charts. At this point all you can ask is if the GOP isn't filled with either lunatics or cowards or both, why isn't there full fledge criticism of this and why is this guy so highly revered within the ranks? The obvious answer is they're scared s#!tless of the ramifications on the party of calling him out. Which speaks volumes about how many loons are within the base.
  17. I would say so. Just add another to the long list. One would hope that as the election cycle progresses and more people tune in that his insane, fascistic rhetoric will turn off everyone but the most crazy in our society.
  18. Calling for voter intimidation based on unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud from the overwhelming unquestioned leader of the GOP.
  19. Setting the stage as he always does for if and when things don't go his way. Has there ever been a whinier b!^@h in history btw?
