  1. Ok much sooner than I was expecting but I think we’ve seen it through.
  2. The skid mark in our proverbial underwear that is the frost era will linger past these 5 year unfortunately. What little pride and respect that was remaining in our beloved brand is completely gone at this point.
  3. Adrian sittin in his apartment smokin a j loving life right now and meanwhile I’m dying inside.
  4. I’d rather lose 52-14 to OU than 55-35 Georgia southern
  5. It doesn’t matter what happens after this. He’s done
  6. Again I'm not coach but I haven't understood our punt return either. That punt block by Wright last week is the first time in a while that I can even remember us going after a punt in quite a while yet we don't really seem to set up for a return either. It seems like we're in a "safe punt return" 95 % of the time.
  7. I'm with you. Honestly what was the point of bringing him back if you're going to give up on him after literally the first game that we almost won. Was Saturday pretty? No it was not. But some of these people forget that in Bo's last season, where he went 9-4, it took a miracle from Ameer Abdullah to beat McNeese State. Am I bummed how the season started, yes. Do I still think we have the pieces to have a winning season, yes. Am I very skeptical, yes. But I'm at least willing to see it through.
  8. I really hate that this thread is at 26 pages two games into the season..
  9. Do other teams typically have 10 minutes time of possession compared to their opponents 20 minutes in one half of football?
  10. Washington couldn’t run through a wet paper sack. Not only is Grant shifty, he’s a powerful runner as well.
  11. Yes then when we go 6-6 we can say but look how young we are just think what these guys will do next year! That only works when players develop and improve which we have seemed to struggle with. The funny thing is to me this is a rebuilding year. Frost completely overhauled his staff and rebuilt his roster with a bunch of transfers except we’re telling him he has to win right now. It’s a rediculously tough task when you think about it.
  12. Yet another position that we claim to have depth at yet seemingly refuse to rotate. We are so young across the board that I’m sure they’re wanting to get certain guys more reps but it’s also a bummer when you can’t put a team like ND away earlier to rest some of your starters and get some of the second and third sting more game reps.
  13. That’s what I’m saying I think he’s either not fully healthy or just struggling getting back to form. But they seem content taking a few lumps with him now or like you said the next option still isn’t any better.
  14. He was getting beat what seemed like every other play Saturday. I hope he returns to form quickly or they may have to give Williams a shot.
  15. I think maybe Casey can keep us in the game if turns into a shootout but we likely won’t stop them much on defense. We’re going to have to take some chances on defense to create some turnovers. Maybe we can get an early score or two and catch a couple lucky breaks and make a game of it. I expect some wrinkles like a good dose of Smothers on one drive. Probably a few designed QB runs than we’ve seen this far to make them defend that.
  16. Agree on all this. Chins is going to have to take some risks to try and get our guys off the field quicker. I'll add to each of your points. 1. I think we will see more of Wynn and Drew going forward. Robinson was obviously gassed from being on the field so much, our offense also needs to be able to maintain more time of possession to help these guys out. There was a play in the second half Robinson literally looked like he was running around with his eyes closed. 2. It's great to finally have a RB that has seperated as a clear #1 and is getting the bulk of the carries. Finally getting to see one guy get in a rhythm and break some big runs has been so awesome it has been forever since we've seen that. Interesting that Allen seems to be the #2. I wonder if him and Gabe are close so they're going with the younger guy but he shows a lot of promise as well. 3. Maybe the bend but don't break defense would work better if we had more depth on the d-line and all the way around but it's not working well currently. 4. Farmer is what he is. In regards to Buford, I hope we're taking our lumps with him now and will be rewarded later in the season but the potential is there. 5. Could it be any worse, my goodness tackling is so bad... 6. Hausmann got the start, and from what I noticed he seemed to get to the spot but couldn't finish. Not sure if the coaches were frustrated with the missed tackles or if he was making other mistakes as well but towards the end it looked like he got replaced with Kolarevic and EMC. High ceiling guy, glad he's getting his feet wet because we've got to be able to spell Reimer and Henrich more. 7. Speaking of Kolarevic, he's struggling. If Gifford wasn't so much smaller I think he'd be the clear guy there. I'm not saying he's going to be as good as JoJo, that's a lot to ask but I think he's going to be a darn good one in another year. 8. It's hard to pick out one guy on the o-line as they all seem to struggle at times but I really noticed Teddy getting beat a lot. He just doesn't seem ready yet but I guess they're just throwing him in the fire but he's going to have to get there soon or they need to try Williams out there in my opinion. 9. There are a lot of new pieces on this team that have to come together. I'm not giving up on them yet, I think they have a lot of room to grow and are far from hitting there stride. Unfortunately they've got just one more game to figure it out. 10. I didn't love the tone of Frost's presser. He sounded defeated and again looks mentally exhausted but maybe I'm reading into too much. Not trying to beat a dead horse but darn I'm still frustrated we couldn't finish in Ireland and give Frost some breathing room to start the year. He so desperately needs it but isn't going to get it. The pressure of this season is going to be so much to overcome.
  17. In Casey’s presser in reference to the read option: “Sometimes we call but it, it’s meant to look like an option but it’s just a straight hand off”. That really doesn’t make sense to me. Why would you run the play and not actually make a read. Are you trying to set up the defense? Just seems dumb if the DE crashes down that you’re committed to handing it off knowing it’s not going anywhere why even make it look like a read?
  18. Our issues the last two games had nothing to do with a lack of creativity. We just didn’t execute very well. You may think I’m kidding because the last two games were dogfights but I’m certain you will see things in the OU game that you haven’t seen a lot of so far.
