  1. I’ve made numerous comments that Casey didn’t look the same in the second half. He couldn’t throw a spiral and there was a night and day difference in his accuracy. Casey is obviously a tough kid as he played a whole season at Texas with an injured thumb but Purdy is a capable back up I hope if he’s not 100% he makes it known. Here you can see he obviously he seems to avoid taking a high five after his big scramble play.
  2. Yea. Frost still has two east games and a home game against Oklahoma to win this fan base back. Personally I hope he does because I’m not co dissent that we will have a plethora of options waiting for us and I want frost to work.
  3. Didn’t take her long to realize she couldn’t stomach being a Texas Longhorn. But seriously hopefully everything is ok with her.
  4. CT is partially to blame for the drops. Many of his passes were incredibly wobbly and thrown hard. He wasn’t making it easy on receivers in the second half.
  5. After a day of reflection this is what I think we learned. 1. Frost is still Frost. He inserted himself into the game in a major way and it was a massive failure. 2. We really miss all those seniors on the d-line. It’s going to be a long year in the B1G if teams are able to run on it that easy. 4. We still make any mediocre QB look like Tom Brady. 4b. Very disappointed in Nelson, Mathis, Tannor’s ability to get to the QB today, but dial up a hood blitz Chins c’mon. 5. I really liked what we saw from Thompson, he seems to offer some things that Martinez doesn’t like keeping his eyes downfield. That scramble play was awesome. 6. Am I the only one that noticed how wobbly CT passes were? They were not right spirals at all now wonder we had so many drops when you get a 70 mph knuckle ball thrown at you. Every throw was just off in the second half, hope he’s ok. 7. Still don’t love the RB situation but we’ll see what he can do the rest of the season. 8. Special teams was good other than a bad play call. If we have our punt game from a year ago instead of Buschini this may lose it going away. 9. I’m afraid this year will be much like last. Last year our defense was good enough to keep us in games against everybody but not great enough to win games by themself. This year it’ll be the same on offense. CT will keep us in most games but not sure they will be good enough to win most games by themselves. It seems like it’s been 20 years since we’ve had both a good offense and defense in the same season, one unit is always a letdown. 10. We just made getting bowl eligible a lot tougher. I think NW is a better team than the Illinois team we lost to week 0 last year so I’m not giving up hope for 6 wins. 11. I’m sure Alberts wanted to make at least halfway through the season before having to assess Frost but I can’t imagine what he’s thinking on that plane now but if I had to guess he’s coming up with a list of guys to throw $10 million a year at.
  6. Not without an absurd amount of money at least.
  7. Was having a great day on vacation until the Frost called the onside kick and things went downhill. Put me in a bit of a foul mood and I never recovered through the afternoon. Finally had absolutely enough for the day and now my wife says I’m an a$$h@!e and I’ve ruined our entire vacation. Having our worst fight in years while we’re supposed to be out enjoying time away. Probably going to have to get an early flight home and might even be divorced when I get back. f#&% you and your onside kick Frost.
  8. Things were going to good with Whipple calling the plays so Scott had to try and insert himself into the game. All he had to do was sit back and win but he couldn’t do it.
  9. Seemingly since he got here and got off to a bad start, the harder he tried the more he screws things up.
  10. Without him this game might not be real close.
  11. Fitz actually said this is probably his best O-line in his 17 years so all hope is not lost.
  12. A lot of speculation on this thread about Omar but the word on Twitter is that he suffered a knee injury and that’s the reason he’s not playing, nothing more than that. Edit. This was supposed to be in the wide receiver thread.
  13. Quite frankly I am surprised Tyreke Johnson is still here.
  14. Only surprise to me is Buford. I thought he may have to wait a couple games as he solidified his spot. Hopefully that means he’s playing really well and has one safety spot locked down. Either way he wasn’t one of the most heralded DB recruits in recent memory but he showed up hungry.
  15. I’m going to be in Boston this weekend so I plan to check out Porters Bar and Grill.
  16. At the end of the day the biggest thing that I thought was missing from Adrian's game was confidence. You could see his swagger come out in small glimpses in certain games but honestly it seemed like his confidence waned the longer he was here. Watching the Minnesota game I remember Tanner Morgan running up and down the sidelines getting his team hyped after a touchdown and admired how those guys really seemed to rally around him. After that I specifically watched AM after scores in various games and he often just jogged over and stood on the sideline and it started to stand out to me more and more.. I hope that's what Thompson can bring to the table as much as anything is just some confidence and energy that brings other guys up. Along with some of the new transfers like Trey Palmer and god forbid if Fidone could stay healthy I'd love to see us get some swagger back on the offensive side of the ball.
  17. Robinson, Feist, Mathis, Tannor, Nelson, Reimer, Heinrich, Farmer, Newsome, I would say are locks. Hill and Buford seem to be starters so likely them as well but if the competition is close maybe they don't get one right away but I think they do. I think Hutmacher and Wynn there's a decent chance one of those guys get one, I'm going with Nash. Then you have nickel where the competition is also very tight but I think Gifford has a good shot at getting one. Even in the case all the guys mentioned get one that's 13 so I'll take the under.
  18. Hopefully we're not adding to ours. In two sports....
  19. In my opinion he's not complaining about anything, only questioning if we have the depth to run the defense the same as we have the last couple years. He's saying against Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota that if they try and make us go big that right now it seems that we only have 5 guys to rotate with, assuming they are all still healthy at that point in the season. You have Robinson, who is likely are best and should be very solid, yet he rotated a lot last year so didn't have to play a ton of snaps. You have Devin Drew who is literally just got here, Feist who hasn't played at all, and Wynn and Hutmacher, again have hardly played. That's not incredibly promising as it is and if one of those guys goes down, especially Robinson, it's going to get rough down the stretch. Basically we have one stud, one known Power 5 contributor, and the rest is potential. We lost 70% of our snaps from last year at this position so I tend to agree when he says it's a big question mark, at best.
