agree and the sad thing is we don't hear much about the special teams play and progress? i am really worried that this facet of our game is still being ignored. Hope i am wrong, it is such a big deal for us.

Martinez missed some easy throws, 12-20 is nothing to brag about. Smothers holds the ball too long and is indecisive. QB is going to be average at best. Manning snd Betts dropped too many balls as well. RB by committee looks like the plan, with Yant getting at least 12 carries per game. a lot of home town boys getting on this years roster, new trend? .500 ball looks about right, stuttering defense and sporadic offense, just the reality after seeing what was showcased, hope i am wrong. Boring, except for last 2 plays.

i though strength and conditioning was supposed to fortify our guys to less injuries? seems hopeless we have so many guys who can't get through a whole game or practice without getting hurt. everyone ends "nicked up" and then they are out for half the season or more. are we recruiting the wrong body types? at least it appears so. and look at Stepp, he gets off the plane in Lincoln and is immediately pronounced injured! and we didn't know that? he didn't know that? right. we are desperate.

i was really disappointed to hear the comments on the performance of the offense. after all the hype and news, it still appears frost cannot get out of his own damn way! what's it going to take? we hear the same old s#!t, "we're gonna get this fixed". "it's a culture issue". time is running out again, these guys on the O should be breathing fire, i don't even see smoke. it sure looks like playing .500 ball would be a miracle in accomplishment. yeah, it was just one organized practice, it's early, the D is always ahead at this time of year, blah, blah, blah. really?? we have a coaching problem, just my thoughts. where is the progress and consistency?

and the good teams make great in game adjustments, something our coaches don't do very well.

whatever he has done, eliminating the turnovers is critical. and Frost needs to reduce his carries, i think we all agree. throwing the ball away and avoiding the sacs.

let's face it, a lot of what Frost is doing is not working in the Big 10.

i think clearly we have some coaching deficiencies. good teams overcome a few penalties and some minor injuries, we don't do this.

yes, our offense sucks. Frost unwilling to change things up, IMHO.

i am just hoping we get a decent 1-2 set of running backs with some speed, all these guys and we basically ran Mills last season most of the time, disappointing. and we already hear Stepp will be the man, damn, all these other guys are beaten out before they get here? that's s true condemnation of our recruiting process. a real problem for Frost.
