New Offensive Coordinator options?
RichardHangslow replied to 1HuskerFaithful's topic in Husker Football
Too fat Billy Bob. Too Dumb and slow. -
Now do we see Mickey Joseph come to town? LSU staff is definitely in trouble. Keep your eye on it. After all the outright denials Frost wanted him, wouldn't that be ironic......... That would also imply and give backing to Jake Peetz for OC, if LSU's staff is toast. Hearing whispers of both those names. Also if that happens, then it obviously makes it moot on any stepping down/separation talk after Iowa. chatter picking up on Dominic Raiola for OL coach....don't be surprised. current strength coach for the Lions.

Nuts to all this small school or unknown diamonds in the rough. Hire a proven coach. I don't want to sneak up on anyone I want to kick the front door in and say stop me from raiding your fridge. I want the defense to know that Nebraska is running the ball and there is nothing they can do about it. A lot of Mike Tyson references this last Saturday, my take on Iron Mike is this. Mike is going to enter the ring and hit you as hard as he can, and you are just going to have to deal with that. That is how I want Nebraska to play. We are going to come in and kick your butt and you are just going to have to deal with it.

What sort of offensive scheme do you think Frost will/should adopt?

Power Spread. -
I wonder how long this has been in the works, I mean I can't believe firing 4 of your guys is taken lightly no matter what the record has been. So that A: tells me that they have been working on this for a while and believe they have some serious upgrades in the bag and B: That Frost is going to have to 180 everything that he has done for the last 6 years as head coach, which is also not taken lightly and tells me that Trev is committed to making this thing work so BIG TIME COACHES are coming to Lincoln. should be fun. Maybe we steal O'Brien or land Herman. maybe pete carrol comes in as oc or maybe all 3 oh look at me I am getting a giddy.

Honestly after today's performance I would be okay with keeping Scott but I really really really want Tom Herman to be the offensive coordinator. The TV announcers said that Scott said we couldn't recruit Texas anymore. Well, would help with that -

Really chaps my a$$ to think about Nebraska could be undefeated right now with wins over four top 10 teams. -
I will be watching hoping, praying, cheering and cursing.

He didn't say anything wrong. Good young man, can not wait to have him here. -

I do not see how this gets corrected in the final 3 weeks. I have seen nothing from AM that says he is going to lead us to victory in the last 3 games. I have also seen nothing from Frost that shows me that next season will be better. 3-0 would change my mind, but honestly I have no cornfidence that we will win any of the final 3 games. 0-3 is most likely the outcome. -

Realistically Frost needs to win all 3, that is why he was hired. The fans shouldn't lower our expectations based on his inability to get the job done. -
Too much talent for us to be a three-win team

Some more crazy stats on the Huskers under Frost
RichardHangslow replied to lo country's topic in Husker Football
Man I would fire Matt davison and split his salary between the woman's bowling team, wrestling. -
You know perfect post don't come around often but when the do.
-
Honestly you guys we are paying Scott 5 mill a year to insure that 4 picks don't happen and he is almost insuring that it does. I am ready to move on. I just want it to be a touchdown hire.

What does coaching maturity mean?
-
The thing is if the NFL and SEC are calling that must mean that he is doing pretty well and if that happens in year 3 because Nebraska is 12-2 I guess I will have to accept that.

I keep changing my mind on what Trev will do. Part of me thinks that he will keep Scott and have Scott hire a big time OC and SPT coach. To hopefully rev up the offense. I think he will keep him till closer to when the new facilities are completed and that way Trev and say to a new coach look at all the shinny. If Frost does not work out.
