  1. You're right about that. Although if I was a judge I would work in the job based off of law, not based off of being a person so that wouldn't really apply, but if you mean I'd be bad at the job then absolutely.
  2. Dumb move on CNN's part, but if I had to choose a side I'd lean on the side of calling things that aren't insurrections insurrections, than lean on the side of NOT calling things that ARE insurrections what they actually are.
  3. Part of the robotic nature was to make it easier on the visuals.
  4. Maher continues to lean into "old man angry at cloud" territory with every new headline. First, his Whoopi Goldberg quote includes what is, at this point, one of the most blatantly lazy misunderstandings or mis-attributed uses of 'free speech' by anyone over the age of 15. Fine to think she shouldn't be suspended from her show, but that has zero to do with free speech. Second, in relation to Zucker... well, first of all, who said he had to resign? Two anonymous people have claimed he'd be fired if he didn't, and even if that's true, the main point Maher is missing is that the problem isn't their relationship, the problem is he didn't report it to HR. That is required at CNN, as it is required at every company.
  5. I mean you can make the case they weren't effective in the States. But that really just means we aren't effective as people
  6. The f#&% are you talking about
  7. What does that have to do with being an actual quarterback who can throw the ball?
  8. I say we just play reverse hangman with the Herbie logo, except instead of letters its wins. Every win we get an appendage of Herbie gets added back on, but at the start of the season he's an invisible ghost.
  9. Just curious, can you name me a quarterback in Nebraska history with a higher career quarterback rating than Adrian?
  10. If it's not the same then name the dollar amount and/or the number of people listening that makes it cross some magical threshold of being problematic.
  11. "lead a cause" and "misinformation" seem like such wildly overblown language. He's a dude chilling, drinking, smoking weed and shooting the s#!t with people. That's all his podcast is, 3-4+ hours at a time just chitchatting about anything and everything. He's also a self-described meathead dips#!t idiot and has told people numerous times not to take medical or scientific advice from him because he has no idea what he's talking about. Only difference is he gets paid a f#&% ton of money for it and massive amounts of people like listening. There's no misinformation responsibility or cause/crusade happening when you get a drink with some whacko spouting nonsense at the bar, so there shouldn't be here either.
  12. Does this mean Rogan made less money before covid?
  13. When you asked I assumed the language was coming from someone defending "nuclear family", in which case that's usually what that language would imply. In this case, all it means is, "We create spaces for all different kinds of relationships"
  14. I've never watched The View, but I would be much more interested in watching it if stuff like this happened more often
  15. It means anything other than two heterosexual parents having kids living on their own is bad.
  16. Don't have the time to dive into it all the way but I'm curious how you could possibly reach a conclusion one way or the other on that? It's not like we can A/B test it.
  17. Well I'm glad that Neil Young is now on Apple's platform, which is above reproach in the 'spreading fake news' department. Oh wait... https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bannons-war-room/id1485351658
  18. I think it makes sense that it doesn't make sense, so to speak. Something new, unfamiliar, novel and seemingly breaking the rules doesn't automatically get easily categorized in your brain, because the point is sort of that it's breaking categories.
  19. Nebraska already has a very NFL esque atmosphere compared to most college football experiences so there's not really much lost there.
  20. I heard white supremacists also eat food!
  21. The trouble is every time I hear one have no idea of figuring out which one it is. None of them visually show the ski resort, and there's 6 or 7 ads on screen at the same time so I don't understand how to figure out which is doing it.
