  1. Something like making someone late for appointment but their avoiding a tragic accident on the way. How come you're so upset? You got there safe right without any harmful consequences getting there! Or, maybe it's a convenient excuse/baseless explanation...
  2. Practices should be demanding. More difficult than the game. At least to the extent that can be achieved. Diverse scenarios. There are ways to making it as challenging as possible for both defense and offense. Get creative about it. Interleaving, spaced repetitions. Get to know the players and how each learns individual to them. The coaches are responsible for developing a culture by seeking out the right players for the team and demonstrating what is required by their own actions. Indications are that much of this was missing or lacking.
  3. There needs to be an understanding that the desire to win and the desire to do the things necessary for winning aren't the same things. Most players want to win. But how many want to do the things necessary for winning? That's the requirement. The will. The commitment. Doing away with things to make room for making winning possible. That's the hard reality of it. Some flee while others step up to the challenge. Hang a bell up somewhere. Being a champion isn't for everyone.
  4. Infatuation messes with judgement that's for sure!
  5. Just when a person sighs and begins to breathe a little easier out of nowhere comes another blast. Lol I do think that we're gradually turning the needle. Now we've just gotta get some motion going and gather some momentum. One day at a time!
  6. Master recruiters across the board that are excellent at developing! No drama. And no crisis's. I'm ready for this really bad dream to end too...It's exhausting.
  7. We begin by not denying anything. Acknowledgement that something bad has likely happened. There's a focus on relationships and what truly makes them meaningful. Make a commitment to athletes having a rewarding experience here. Demonstrating it again and again day after day. The wins will come with a desire to do what's necessary to experience success. Trust the process.
  8. We just don't know the specifics. There are many possible scenarios. We don't know what precisely went down there or what lead up to it. We can only speculate. As of now it seems Mickey's put himself in a very bad position due to his alleged actions. Some of us here have probably witnessed traumatic events and/or known others that have. It can and often does affect children for a lifetime. That's the worst of it. Worse yet, some are victims themselves directly. It is awful and at times tragic. No excuse for it happening whatsoever. As you say, it is not funny at all. There are many concealed stories that remain hidden. We think that we know someone and they sometimes prove themselves to be entirely different than we believed. Then the conflict emerges once they're found out. We might even feel isolated knowing and peers not believing us. This sort of thing. Victims can feel guilty that they are somehow responsible. There's great humiliation and heartache. Terrible all around indeed. I just really feel let down not unlike most of us. Here's a person we looked up to, admired and believed in and now that's all in question. Just the other day I was posting on Mrs. Joseph's Twitter my gratitude for their family coming here. They made a sacrifice and chose us. And, how somehow I hoped they'd find a way to remain as we're making a fresh beginning. Now, you check over there and it's all gone almost in an instant. One day a hero's on the sidelines, the next he's in jail. No matter what your opinion was on Mickey being head coach or not just about everybody was a fan of his cheering him on. For those of us fans who lived during that span of time that he was playing he represented a better time and cherished memories. A shadow has been cast upon another bright spot. We wanted him to stay. And the whole thing has suddenly become ugly. It's difficult to comprehend and all so very sad.
  9. Excuse me, I wouldn't characterize dealing with violent offenders, molesters, murderers and a whole range of other dangerous personalities on a continual basis, sometimes delivering death notifications and occasionally having one's own life threatened as an occupation in the service of the public's interests particularly "privileged".
  10. Yep. Pretty much sums up my thoughts right now. Mickey was one of my favorites.
  11. What a turn of events...I'm still processing this. We'll learn more about what transpired. Sad. My thoughts are with the Joseph family, especially their children.
  12. Here it is listing Peetz as TE/OC and Satterfield QB/OC
  13. They've worked together previous providing some continuity there I think Mickey not working with a whole group he doesn't have any experience with. The relationship with the receivers and quarterbacks.
  14. Some are saying that if Peetz is officially hired, the increases the possibility for Mickey remaining. Rhule is using some creativity in assembling his staff to help make it happen.
  15. With these I'm encouraged thus far. Considering the last two staffs, it's quite a bit of an improvement over them. What I like too is that these have worked for and around others not just Rhule and his assistants. More perspectives and different experiences. The biggest issues with Frost were that he was in over his head and his staff was under-qualified generally as a whole.
  16. The capacity to consider other possiblities and change one's mind after gaining additional insight is an admirable trait.
  17. If Raiola were retained, as another member posted whatever issues there are with coaching they'll be addressed. It doesn't seem like the bearded one's S&C methods and philosophy were producing the desired results on the field especially with respect to the lines.
  18. Is it possible that Satterfield helps out with the line too? And likewise if hired Robinson with the defensive line as DC?
  19. Could be…Satterfield has worked with Tight Ends and the O-Line. Possibly Peetz works with the QB’s while Satterfield is TE coach?
