  1. GSG, can you PM parl and let him know the website you used last time to watch the fights? He was asking me about it. Done and done!
  2. Hopefully it didn't disappoint. Like I said, I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to vodka (or . . . really . . . any liquor). I've seen Crystal Head at the Homey Inn but I have not tried it. I'll have to give Pyrat a try. Have you had Kraken? I have had Kraken a couple times. It was pretty good. I'm trying to decide what to buy to use in my flask. A lot of places say whiskey, Irish whiskey, cinnamon schnapps or vodka. Anybody have any other suggestions? Brandy/congac Brandy! Why didn't I think of that? You would think I've read enough Sherlock Holmes stories to remember they always had a flask of brandy on hand!

  4. I highly recommend Svedka vodka. It has won a lot of world awards and is quite reasonably priced. I believe it's usually around $18 for a 1.75L. I can't really tell the difference between Svedka and Grey Goose but I'm definitely not a vodka expert. If you want something different try this: Awesome in White Russians . . . or just with milk . . . or just on the rocks. Maybe it's just awesome? Brix is the only place that I know around Omaha that ALWAYS has it. I bought some Svedka back when you posted that. It's pretty good. Last weekend I bought some Crystal Head vodka. It's ok. Comes in a cool skull bottle. Dan Ackroyd owns part of the company or something. Not worth $50 for the little bottle IMO. I also bought some Pyrat rum. It's one of my faves.
  5. Funny to see that. I bought a flask just like that yesterday. And I am HAPPY with it! Great minds think alike again! I too bought a flask the other day. It's bad ass!
  6. Don't forget to make your UFC 144 picks in the Other Sports forum!!

  8. In college I used to devour as much red meat as possible in front of my Catholic friends because most of them had no idea what Lent was about. I usually packed on a few pounds during that time.
  9. I believe they do, but I can't track it down in 30 seconds or less. Belichick was an assistant at New England from like 96-97, and Bo was an assistant there from 97-99, and then Bo left when Belichick took over for good in 1999. Someone with more knowledge or time will have to figure out if they coached together somewhere. I want to say they did, but I can't recall. From a quick wikipedia search, Bo was at New England from 97-99 which is when Belichick was at the Jets, but they may have crossed paths when Belichick was at New England in 1996 before he left for New York.
  10. I remember salmon balls being a popular dish when I was a youngin. The whole school would smell like a slutty sorority house.
  11. On my 21st birthday, a buddy of mine bought me a shot. I don't remember what the booze was, but you had to chase it with pickle juice. I told the bartender to give me a big glass of pickle juice because I liked it. Cut to: The next day. I threw up neon green all day. On my way to cafeteria, I puked on the sidewalk right in front of a campus tour full of prospective students and their parents. It was a pretty good birthday.
  12. So are you lumping FCS with the actual D2 then? Click Me Oh I know. I've seen you post that a couple times. I still call them I-A and I-AA. I never really saw the need for the change to FBS and FCS.
  13. There are two A's. Therefore D2. I refuse to not call FCS D2. You'll have to pursue action in a court of law to stop me. So are you lumping FCS with the actual D2 then? Either way, Idaho State is not good. They probably SHOULD be D2 (actual D2, not your D2 )
  14. They're FCS aka I-AA D2 would be like Chadron State and UNK

  17. Ha ha! My interwebs connection must be slightly faster than yours. Well I'm sure yours is definitely faster considering I'm at work. I'll chalk this one up to my awesome meeting I just had. Xavier hasn't had a football team since the 70s, but the Blue Blob is too awesome to pass up:
