Watch the KU game again. He kept KU's offense moving. I realize he was covering Briscoe (who is damn good), but he looked so clueless at times.

I wish they were still the "Rainbow" Warriors. Their old helmets looked cool but I haven't seen a uniform anywhere.

TCU definitely should have owned BSUcks. They were clearly the better team, just couldn't execute. Good game and good birthday for my uncle today!

Since Cincinnati put those sweet claw marks on their pants this year, maybe we could put some combine marks or ears of corn on ours. We could paint the helmets like the cornheads the fans wear too.

It's so funny how many people complain about keeping all of our "traditions" alive and don't want to change anything or go against the grain. I think b1ack0uts are absolutely horrible ideas. That's also part of the reason that I think the all whites are a horrible idea. Neither one has any tradition behind it. I didn't know football had changed into a fashion show where you needed to look so cool with a certain uniform. Earlier this year, anyone that mentioned changing anything (i.e. b1ack0ut) was immediately attacked for going against tradition. I guess it's ok to change traditions as long as it's the one YOU want to change.

I only mentioned a b1ack0ut because it was obviously the fad at the beginning of the year and has now been replaced by this nonsense about changing jerseys. You would know that if you actually read my post rather than just seeing the word "b1ack0ut" and ASSuming I was condoning one.

Apparently the "let's wear all white cuz they look clean" idea has now replaced the "let's do a b1ack0ut for game against team x." We are Nebraska. We wear red jerseys and white pants at home and white jerseys and red pants on the road. "Let's wear all white cuz they look so clean" FYI: They wash all the jerseys after the games so they are all actually "clean." No way are we going to wear the "all-white Penn State/Texas longjohn look." And what are we elves?? "Let's wear little red booties with our underwear suit." Perfect for Christmas. Give me a break.

Not that it really matters, but we wore red at the Cotton Bowl. Home team or not, let's just kick some arse!

2 years at the New Stadium, then off to somewhere else. The new stadium looks kinda cool, but I worry that it won't be very home team friendly as far as crowd noise and such. It has the retractable roof and huge glass windows at each endzone that can open. Either way, it looks pretty cool and hopefully that will be the site of the 1st Big XII Title for the Big Red under Bo Pelini (and hopefully not the last).

Actually the 2009 game will be in the new Dallas Cowboys stadium.

I definitely agree. (although I think West was on the coverage for KSU's long throw) As soon as they all get that timing for when to look for the ball down, then the breakups and INTs will start flowing in. They stay with their coverages well and they are close for the tackle. It will definitely come to them. Hopefully sooner than later. I know we still have 2 games left, but I'm really excited for next year.

Was he covering Briscoe? No. He was TRYING to cover Briscoe and failing miserably. The only thing that saved him was the wind, pressure on Reesing, and his helmet when he knocked a pass down with the back of his head because he has no idea where the ball is. As far as covering KSUcks receivers, I don't think that's a fair comparison. We were all over KSUcks QBs all day, so there wasn't much chance for throws to come his way. Not to mention that KSU's receivers don't strike fear in anyone since Jordy Nelson left. I want West to get better and I think he will. He's just not close yet.

I'd say if SU plays ND close and then USC just annihiliates ND the next game that the Gator Bowl should pick us up. As far as the economic condition excuse, the state of Nebraska doesn't seem to get hit quite as hard considering our economy is LARGELY based on agriculture. I'm not saying people haven't been having a hard time financially lately, I'm just saying that historically times like this aren't as severe to Nebraskans.
