Like I said, it isn't the first example. Peter King spotlighted him in his MMQB column a couple times a few years ago as a guy whose offensive lines other coaches put on tape for their players to watch, to be used as an example for how things should be done. Calalhan's head coaching record is really irrelevant to his work with OL, where he has a sterling reputation.

So sterling the Jets showed him the door.
I'm willing to bet any success he had with that line a few years ago had a lot more to do with the play of guys like Alan Faneca and Nick Mangold than Callahan's tutelage.
Hey, if I'm wrong, and he turns that line around I'll jubilantly start a crow-eating thread. I want want him to succeed, but I haven't seen anything from him to expect anything other than failure.
