Zoogies, I'm sure you know the Pats much better than I do. So I'll take your word for it. My "abysmal" comment was based on the fact that they were the 2nd worst pass defense in the NFL last year, and they were playing a WR in the secondary towards the end of the year they were so shorthanded.

Oh, yeah. The depth is pretty bad. You're probably right, I haven't followed that closely. I just know they've thrown a lot of high picks at it recently.

What's weird to me is the teams that had the worst pass defenses, were some of the better teams in the league. Green Bay, New England, NY Giants, Saints. . . All 4 genuinely had lousy secondaries (although the Giants' secondary improved quite a bit when they got healthy).
