Just feel like in a +1 system this year - you'd be putting in Stanford ahead of Oregon. Stanford lost to Oregon head to head, while Oregon dropped an equivalent game to USC, and dropped an extra game to LSU while Stanford played absolutely nobody in the noncon. It's rewarding cupcake scheduling.

Meanwhile, every conference has a fair way of determining their champion on the field. There is no controversy. This year, an 8 team playoff with 5 conference champions and 3 at larges would include LSU, Wiscy, Oregon, Ok St, Clemson, Bama, Stanford, Arkansas/Boise/KSU depending on rules...

I think you want to minimize rewarding the teams that don't deserve to be there. So maybe Stanford gets in undeservedly. But Oregon doesn't really deserve to be there, either. Is the solution to say "OK, they're in. Let's get a whole bunch of equivalent teams in, too"? I think when you list those teams, you have LSU, Bama, OSU...then all these other guys.

There's nothing Japanese about the car commercial, it's in English and made by American ad agencies. Hard to miss when they play it eight times in a row. I thought they were commercials for a service to help disabled old people at first, then at some point I noticed it was about a car.
