    Beach Buffs

I havent read every thread or post today. He's a pretty cool dude, or somewhat for a CU fan . Just want to make my point & move on. Not really a topic for debate.

    Beach Buffs

Yeah I know brother dawg.. I thought the emotional part was a nice touch lol
  3. Any novice fan will tell you the Huskers offense does not present itself as a threat. The key word is threat. To me they have gone into submission for most of the game each of the past 4-5 weeks. Playing possum gets tiring to watch. They need to establish an identity first, then everything is created off of that. This is our bread and butter. This is what we are going to do. You know it, they know it, and we are going to do it. We haven't figured out what we want to be when we grow up, so to speak. It's all mix and match and run this play because it sounds good. Didnt work, so lets try to this play. Damn.
  4. Gaah. The Huskers have taken on the tough physical persona of their coach. And that's a good thing. The O-line is still below average. It will always be the base for success or failure of any team. You have a few guys that can do well run blocking, a few guys that can pass block for a few seconds. But together they are not getting it done consistently as a group. Its unfortunate. Until they shake it up, we should know what to expect since conference play began.
  5. Those late meaningless scores dont happen often. Sucks it happened. But so what. Huskers still win
  6. Yall need to show a little more respect for our CU brother BB. Get PO'd about whatever, but dude has been around each week win or loss and has been a good contributor to the board. Winning feels great, losing always sucks. Dont smear it in his face. Dont get PO'd b/c of the last score. At least not at him. What ever happened to winning gracefully? Some of yall need to brush up on sportsmanship. No matter how much you wanted to win 50-0, understand the diff between a good poster and a troll. Good win for the Huskers. Was close as expected. CU always plays a bit better against us than anyone else. And we did it. To the other CU pineholes, that's fine. But keep in mind Beach Buffs is always here on the board. Be tolerant & less emotional.
  7. Kool-Aid Comments, What does it mean? It is also refered to as Jayhawk Juice. Because them boys guzzle it down every August.
  8. 9 wins is a big deal. Its watered down some though. Those 9 win seasons were mostly during 11 game schedules. Which meant more importantly, that we were only losing 2 games going into bowl games. So if you go 10-4, that isnt the same to me. 9-5 is meh.
  9. Great article. Totally understand & agree. Good to see him keep the focus on this week against CU. Lets go pummel our rivals. Yeah I just said it. In this day & age, being the constant last game of the season, day after thanksgiving, year after year, and being on TV... they hate us, we hate them.. Until the schedule ever changes and some other Big 12 team plays us in that spot, they are our rivals. First time I said it too And it doesnt exactly suck admitting it.
  10. We are back from nose diving into humilation and obscurity for several years. We are becoming more respectable and showing some toughness. We are stringing together a few tough wins here and there. We are trying to get to the next level. Once we earn our way into the National Championship game, then all of college football will know we are back. Whenever that is. Winning the Big 12 & getting to BCS bowls and NC games are the goals. Winning the North is just a step to those goals.
  11. Drowning..... Gotta love SNL & Will Ferrell ... damn
  12. KU's performance. That's because of the overhype brainwashing provided by JGS over the past few years
  13. Come on Axl.. Did you eat too much Turkey? Its not even Thanksgiving yet.. Come on man.
  14. Kansas 1-5 / 5-5 LOST & DESTROYED by Nebraska Colorado 2-4 / 3-7 Missouri 2-4 / 6-4 LOST & DESTROYED by Nebraska KSU 4-3 / 6-5 Dayton HS 10-2 WINNING without Cody Green The troll from one of the above is definitely sitting back and laughing at every post he attempts to stir up. Ignoring him is wise.
  15. Well on some coaches, the sweatshirt is a lot better than the T-shirt look. Dabo Swinney . . . Bo Pelini . . . Chalie Weis

    25th

Teams 15-25 are all the same & interchangeable. Including the poofers (USC). Actually they should be droped out b/c of how pathetic they've been playing. In the last three weeks: LOST BIG to Oregon 47-20 beat ASU 14-9 LOST BIG to Stanford 55-21 That would drop out any ranked team. Its lame & rediculous.
  17. The recievers and tight ends played very well. It was like there was execution out there. Dude throws the ball, dude catches the ball. Only a few drops. And if McNeil had battled better for position in the corner of the endzone (or at all) it would have been six. That was a mismatch favoring him. He looked up from stumbling with footing during the route and saw the ball up in the air. The KU guy beat him to the spot. And yeah, they blocked well too.
  18. Yep.. That was a game changer. KU had momentum going in for the TD. Our defense was getting pushed around. Gomes popped that ball out and the D recovered. He made that play. I thought that was HUUUGE.

    Asante...

I thought they overblew the situation as well. Sliding sucks for the defense because it's hard to avoid contact sometimes. On the jerky espn360 replay it appeared to me that Asante's shoulderpad contacted Reesing's helmet, but I could be wrong. Agreed/Agreed Of course it looks like a late hit in super slo-mo. The thoughts may have changed some had they played it back in real speed. Plus, Reesing ducked and slid so quickly.. As low to the ground as he runs, he only had to drop down a foot or so. It was a bam/bam play. Asante appeared to lead with his head, but he wasnt. He was attacking the ball carrier who is running down field. Asante was trying to plant him with his shoulder and make a tackle on the play. Reesing ducked & dropped. That's how I saw it.
  20. Erin Andrews, ESPN, and the availability to watch it again on recast usually around midnight
  21. I was very encouraged to see these type of plays called: *Play action (from under center). You run the ball enough from I or single back sets and this will keep the D honest. *The option (whether it was ugly at times, but mostly got positive yards) absolutely opened up the big pass play when they ran the option fake and drop back toss. *The bootleg rollout passes that gave Zac three options, dump short, throw medium, or tuck it and run. *Student body right/left.. The power sweep. Just looked fantastic with Helu getting a quick toss 4 yards deep which allowed him to be patient and follow his lead blockers and then hit the holes. No special blocking involved here. These are very basic plays that have been around teams forever. Just have to execute them and sprinkle them in throughout the game. Execution on these plays was solid.
  22. Helu/Niles/Lee/O-Line.. pretty much the execution and all around effort by the entire offense (for most of the game)
  23. TOUCHDOWN!!!! THAT IS OLD school Power running offense and effort by the Huskers to finish them off!!! Helu and DRob just ran fantastic!!! O-line opened up the holes!!! GO BIG RED!!!
