      Amazing author that guy.

Wow, shame, such a great creative guy, only 66 too.

  2. I would count on it, particularly with the incoming explosion of VR. Not only is Oculus, but Valve, Sony and another one that's name escapes me, are all due to release VR headsets this year. And the applications for it are just getting started.
  3. I think an aspect being overlooked is that Universities have a Code of Conduct that students agree to while attending the school. And generally there is going to be a clause to the effect of damaging the image of the Institution.
  4. I don't get where people come up with Iran being unstable. They have one of the most stable Middle East (they will take offense if you call them "Arab" they consider themselves Persian) countries, and they don't have a history of starting wars. The main issues they have with us is the endless meddling we have had in their internal affairs. If our 'leaders' would pull their heads out, they actually have some of the best potential to be an ally in the region.
  5. Not surprising as the media is spending all their time obsessing over which email account Hilary Clinton used a few years ago. But I imagine their advertisers don't really want them focusing on almost half the Senate openly warmongering when there is money to be made from starting another pointless war.
  6. I miss the raids and the old guild. Though the time commitment is not something I would make again, the time was great and memorable.
  7. I'm really surprised this has not shown up here yet. Tom Cotton and 46 other Senators, including both of Nebraska's, sent a letter to the leaders of Iran. Basically telling them that 'when' the GOP wins the White House in 2016, they will void any agreement made. This is a violation of the Constitution's power divisions, and actually a Federal crime. http://www.vox.com/2015/3/9/8177815/republicans-foreign-policy-sabotage
  8. I'm sorry but 3 run plays and 3 incomplete pass plays take the same amount of actual time, because the play clock doesn't change depending on what type of play you run. Now more time might come off of the game clock with runs, but the actual time from start to finish of a 3 and out doesn't really change by running instead of passing. ok, show me... 2014 Miami: Around 6 minutes into the first quarter, we ran three straight run plays and punted. From the snap of the first play to the blowing dead of the punt, it took 2 minutes and 1 second. 2014 Michigan State: Around 10 minutes into the second quarter, we ran three straight pass plays and punted. From the snap of the first play to the blowing dead of the punt, it took 2 minutes and 11 seconds. What about the multiple games where three pass plays were called, with three incompletions being the result? I can't tell you the number of times that happened. How much of your day did you waste trying to find those two examples? If you can't tell us the number of times we ran three unsuccessful passing plays in a row, and don't bother to compare it to the number of times we ran three unsuccessful rushing plays in a row, you don't really have a point. As I recall you also hate it when we pass on 3rd and 2 in any situation in any game. You're not too keen on the forward pass at all, are you? I'm perfectly fine with the forward pass, just not when a run play is the way to go... And just off the top of my head with the 3 straight imcomplete passes, the UCLA losses come to mind, and probably at least a dozen other games, but if you've got them in a twist, I'm sure I can go through every game and dig them up just to appease you... That's such a complicated thing though. There is a good case to be made for passing on 3rd and 2. If it works, its a 'good' call and if it does not work its a 'bad' call. If a guy gets stuffed on 3rd and 2 its not any different. Now, if the defense has not been able to stop the run, and the RB is hot, by all means run.
  9. I can understand the social dynamic part of things. But WoW is not something I have missed. I have more longings for old EQ1, though that will never happen. I also can't see myself subscribing to play a game again honestly.
  10. Makes sense, particularly with a softer, younger wood in many new guitars.
  11. There is a bit of difference between the uses for the two different items pictured. What the guys in jeans appear to be working on is the simple part, the item that at its core is very simple. The clean room appears to be a passenger capsule. Slightly different levels of components. Look at it like this, if you are putting a bandaid on a cut, you can wear jeans. If someone is performing surgery on you, you want them in scrubs with a mask.
  12. Dirks a great writer and tells a great story,I agree. But you will probably find a lot of dissenting opinions on that here.I think everyone agrees the guy can write, he just chooses to stir the pot for the sake of stirring the pot too often. I don't know as I would put it like that. I think he just had had enough of Pelini before some people did. And we all know how criticism can go around here when people don't want the image from their rose colored glasses disturbed. Nah, he's a dick to people on twitter too. Plus, he's a JaySker. He can be snarky sure, but so are lots of people that don't get the same reaction. And half of Omaha can qualify as 'JaySker' it does not bother me.

  14. Mostly it makes the RT more important than the LT.
  15. To counter this perception, Texas has gone 5-7 and 6-7 in the last 5 years with considerably more talent than we have, as one example. Also USC had less than 70 scholarship players. They may have had depth issues, but their two deep is loaded. Even with lesser scholarships, they still had higher ranked recruiting classes. And we held up well.
  16. I LIKE this dual practice thing. But it keeps the coaches are pretty busy. Double practice times, plus looking at film of the practices. The results should be well worth the extra effort though. We are probably going to see some guys on the field who may have been overlooked before, and without this format.
  17. It was talked-about but not implemented (that I know of). It didnt clear the first vote. It shows up every couple of years, and gets defeated. If it happens at this point it will come through the autonomy group.
  18. Same set up the NFL uses. Every so often some college coaches push for it, but the munchkin leagues reject it.
  19. So much hand wringing over the Oregon State numbers. Can we please drop it? Again, OSU and Nebraska are not directly relatable. We wouldn't compare ourselves with Iowa State or Purdue, so lets not do it with Oregon State.
  20. Nope. I don't have the muscle memory yet for just the fretboard. And I only have electrics, it wouldn't be effective either.
  21. Go ahead GOP, keep pushing this. See what happens in '16. Keep pushing and the tech companies might decide to unleash the nuclear option. Think about this, if Google, Apple, Netflix, Amazon and so on decide they want people to see something, it will be seen. Thus far they have done things the standard way. Want to find an issue that will pull younger voters out to the polls? This would be one. The comments to the FCC regarding Net Neutrality were about 99% pro-net neutrality. If you are against this, you work for a telecom, or have been bought and paid for.
  22. The on disc http://www.theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/ The DLC, sortable too. http://www.theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-2014-setlist/rocksmith-2014-dlc/
  23. This is probably a dumb question, but do they have the Rocksmith for the Xbox1?? Rocksmith 2014 is available. Its on Steam also. Though with Steam, you will still need to buy a cable from Amazon. The cable is universal to any platform though. I may have to go pick that up... Its fantastic for improving muscle memory, and learning songs. Though be prepared to buy some DLC, the on disc songs arnt bad, but the best stuff has come down through DLC for the most part. Several hundred songs available overall.
