  1. Is the D meeting expectations ...... stats give me some minor concerns
  2. Gabbert and Colt hide behind the couch when it comes on.
  3. I'd love to see Lee get a start as he is a Senior. The bottom line is we don’t know how much of last years poor performance was injury and how much was just poor playing. I'm sure the coaches are expecting to see huge strides in practice from Lee or they will let a New QB start to lead the team. Lee can't start this year unless he is much, much improved. Again I hope he is I'd love to see the Lee that we saw against Arizona. GBR
  4. I'm sure it's a team rules issue during the season. But I cant think of any college age minor that I recall getting an MIP, cops come to places all the time and just want things to settle down.... MIP's I recall were for kids in High School being stupid.
  5. As long as those hits are rare he will be OK, it's gonna happen at times after all it is football as has been said her already. I went and saw SUH in Denver last week that was great.
  6. Martinez must be in some serious shape to have veins popping out of his legs. I thought that only happened to old ladies. Vericose veins or something? Umm no. That is his great saphenous vein. Anyone in decent shape should be able to see theirs occasionally, more likely when they are warm as it is the superficial vein that blood flows through to cool the body. I learn more here on accident then elsewhere by design. I heard they line up in the order they appear on the depth chart ...(just kidding)
  7. So what if T-mart: First he better win but I'd be excited to know that at QB we are getting to a point when we can bring in a new QB with enough talent to come in a play at a high level. I want to see us have QB's in waiting that can take over and play at a high level.Of course getting the entire offense tuned up will help a new QB also. Breaking in a new QB should not mean you have to lose games (perhaps win some ugly) strong progarms are able to conitinue as strog programs as players come and go.
  8. I think Huskerscott pretty much nails it as far as last year goes. And so we head into 2010 being "cautiously optimistic" as they say. Kinda like the defense was 2 years ago ...... they have to improve and honestly our talent and coach Watson have much more potential than was shown last year. So I like to go with the Lee will be much improved when healthy with a more experienced line.
  9. I'd love one more game with Oklahoma.....Still remember those great half time football games out in the snow when I was a kid, then coming in a being captivated by the game. One year we were all in a friend’s basement and the husker scored causing everyone to jump up and (forgetting about the low ceiling) hit their hands on the ceiling. Love the Kool Aid
  10. Personally, I agree, but people are always going to worry about early season road games. With the massive amount of hype Jake Locker has gotten, it's kind of a perfect storm. The best thing Washington can do is not lose before the Husker game, one loss and the fans will back off and the sea of red will come in. At least that's how I see it. Unbeaten it may be a tough crowd but it's still ours to win and Pelini preps the team well for the road.
  11. I love the Kool Aid ..... Rather than restore the order, beating Ohio State would be establishing the order. I like that.
  12. Sounds like fun. I'm watch the 1995 Orange Bowl .......... Frazier -VS-Sapp
  13. No need to lock the thread ...... OK for off season fun. Of course After September the lock and public humiliation are needed. As for now ..... good laugh.
  14. One of my favorite lines from an announcer ever came from that play, "This is tackle football, isn't it?" Great post I'd forgotten this call .... the call should have been "So bad a** it had to be wrong but we don't know why."
  15. Agree 100% with '82 Penn State. I was only 12 at the time and I remember it clearly, it came to my mind the second I read this question. Perhaps the Texas game is a close second because in the days of instant replay it seems like the refs got to pick what they wanted to do in the very close call. Of course instant replay would have overturned the call in '82.
  16. I can't wait to see what the offense can do next year........ I guess I'm anxious, The overall talent makes me optimistic and last years performance makes me nervous.
  17. I think the shirt is funny. And what the heck, to me sports are about respect combined with a certain amount of Bravado..... I look at the opposing team as the "Hated Cyclones" or "Hated Hawkeyes" or "Hated Longhorns" and I expect no less from them. At the end of the day the score board is all that matters and you have to wait till next year....... I hate waiting.
  18. Love the site ........ Is it ok to say love on a football board???????//
