  1. I think the dog house theory is correct. He's gotta see the field and get the ball more going forward. He would have scored if it was him instead of marlowe on that reverse. No doubt.
  2. TuffTiger was hilarious
  3. This. That and NEB will most likely beat Iowa easier than Michigan. The whole mobile QB vs pocket passer thing..
  4. Depends on which team shows up. The OSU comeback has the ability to be a turning point. Will they use it to get better or will we relive 2007?
  5. I thought it was pretty well known that Sean McDonough and that other guy are doing the game.
  6. Sounds like he might have rushed it and tried to come back too soon.
  7. It doesn't match with what the the coaches are recruiting IMO It makes no sense to recruit a guy like Tommy Armstrong, then go after Gilbert. None.
  8. Try to get into the watering hole on about 13th and O.
  9. Probably wrote a few stories on God knows what. My point is that he's largely lashing out at the wrong people. If he had a bad day of practice, so what? If I have a bad day at work I don't come home and kick the dog. Lol
  10. No one else thinks its puzzling that he gave a great press conference on Monday, then Thursday he got his meany pants game right ? not to mention he's more pissed at people like us and folks talking mess directly to Taylor ? Not to mention he regularly glows for national media but then acts like a baby sometimes with local media? I don't get it.
  11. I think there is a difference between criticism and 'ripping'. The former should be expected from the press after a game like that. The latter is Busch league that came from chicks in Spanish class and clowns on messageboards.
  12. I guess. But most of the 'ripping' comes from messageboards and classmates. Not dudes writing a story.
  13. http://ow.ly/6PXkz Was that really necessary?
  14. I'm not sure about that. Yoshi used the word 'mad' when he spoke the other day.
  15. I think he learned his lesson from A&M last year. I am not so concerned with that side of him going forward. I am more concerned with his apparent lack of attention to the offensive side of the ball. Press conference after press conferences are filled with mostly defensive questions and he talks to that topic quite a bit. Meanwhile, you ask him about the offense and relatively speaking he doesn't have much to say. I could be totally off base as I am just looking into the fishbowl, but that's the impression I get.
  16. I really think our problems on defense lie in the Jimmy's and the Joe's and not the X's and O's. Get out there and make a play. We'll start there.
  17. Looks good here with field turf, I wonder how often stuff like that has to be repainted. Any groundskeepers around?
  18. http://twitter.com/#...660884497088512 and if anyone has a right to be mad at their qb, it would be the wrs. Kenny Bell is probably one of the best kids on the team, and well liked. Heard him in a few interviews and he is as well spoken a kid as we have as well. With that said, I think it speaks more that of the many football players that have Twitter, only about 3 (past and present that I have seen) have even said a word about this little 'movement'. If it wasn't for Kenny and Yoshi, I doubt I would have even read that Twitter account before I got on the board tonight. Personally, I don't see the need and why Taylor is that hurt after one loss. When he was winning, he would gloat to folks in class and teammates at practice about how good he was doing. But then he loses a game, and suddenly he doesn't want to hear the other end of the spectrum. When you are the QB, it comes with the territory. Try being Garrett Gilbert, or even in recent Husker history, Jammal Lord. If you want to see QBs who got more criticism than they ever deserved, it would be those guys. What Taylor has gotten is a walk in the park compared to what most QBs have to struggle with. I called it from the very beginning that Gilbert was overrated. Just because he played during the NC game against Alabama doesn't mean a thing. Overrated or not, he still beat us. I would honestly take Gilbert if he wanted to transfer here. No way. He's runs OK for his size and can throw the ball but I really don't think that's what Beck is looking for considering they recruited Tommy Armstrong.
  19. They're basing it on the fact that the backup quarterback is always better than the starter.
  20. Polls are just cannon fodder for fans at this point. They are utterly meaningless especially when you're in a position like Nebraska.
