  1. From what I have heard from people in touch with Blake's parents, we are tied with OU for the lead. KU, ND and Georgia round out his current top 5. Apparently, both his parents (and Blake) love NU and everything they said about the program and coaches was positive. Blake will be at our spring game. Location is a factor to Blake. However, that being said, they will be taking several road trips during this off-season to the southern schools that he has offers to. We have a serious chance here.
  2. That is fast --- if the time is real. It likely is not. he probably runs a 4.65 --- and for a 220 Lb (if he weighs that, he could be 197 for all we know) LB a 5.65 is good speed. The point... Heights will be exaggerated, weights exaggerated, and 40 times are typically lowered from reality by 0.1-0.2 seconds. So... we have no real idea about this or any guys numbers. that said... if these numbers are real then yes, looks awesome. Agreed. The only REAL way to evaluate someone in HS (in my opinion) is to actually look at their tape. While I don't profess to be a collegiate scout, I do think I've been around the game long enough to know a good player when I see one. Game speed shows up on tape.
  3. I ignore all self or coach reported 40 times as a general guideline. I tend to give more weight to the times that were recorded at Scout.com combines (or other similar events), but even those are unreliable as you don't know if they are stop-watch or electronic, etc. I've even considered not listing 40 times on the player profile posts that I create in the forums here, but I guess people like to see them so I elected to continue to include them.
  4. It's now been confirmed on Rivals by the site staff. He has moved to Nebraska.
  5. Haha, it's like the X-Files: I WANT TO BELIEVE
  6. Was waiting for a Florida offer and received one. I give us 1% chance on this.
  7. WR is seen as a definitive need. We are lucky because there is SO much talent at that position this year. We have a firm shot at serious players like McCay and a few others like Josh Harper.
  8. From what I understand, they are fraternal, not identical. Thus, it is possible for them to have entirely uncorrelated height / weights, etc.
  9. This class seems to offer a ton of dual-threat QB talent, which is part of the reason we've offered so many guys. I would be happy if we took any of the 12 offers at this point, just because I think that the class as a whole is that good. Just my opinion, however.
  10. I agree with you. The whole process is laughable. This Butler guy is a clown.

  15. Who cares if he wears #15? I'm sure Tommie wouldn't mind. Dennard just switched from it too.
  16. I'm going to revise my prediction - his new top three is Florida, Texas and LSU.
  17. I would put my money on him ending up at Texas or TAMU. Just a feeling, no inside information.
  18. Ron Coleman should be in the top 3. He is a beast.
