  1. Wisconsin went 13-1 against 63rd ranked strength of schedule. So, that record is not all that impressive. Maybe Nebraska won't win in Madison, but it is not ridiculous to believe that they could. I didn't make some bold prediction that Nebraska was going to win the West. I simply used a turn of a phrase (something the brain surgeons on this board don't seem to understand) to suggest that it is possible that Nebraska could win the West.
  2. "snotty attitude"? Haha, you don't know me. But, I love how you "legends" stick together.
  3. Whatever, perhaps it is you who needs to "Relax"
  4. Well, for now, I choose to be positive and not think about the "dozens" of reasons NU won't win the West. Fortunately, I am correct much more often than those who feel the need to critique my posts on this board.
  5. It surprises me how many people are saying Crouch was the best option QB at Nebraska. He just simply was not. He was one of the most talented and athletic QBs Nebraska ever had; certainly he was the fastest (or one of them). But better than Frazier at running the option? Not a chance. Tommie Frazier was simply masterful at running the offense. I realize he had the advantage of running it for Tom Osborne, but he was just nearly perfect. It always seemed as if Crouch was almost fighting against the option. He was not smooth, he was simply so fast that he made it work. Tommy was the best...hands down. After him, probably a tie between Gill and Frost. Gill was a bit smoother, but Frost seemed to have a clear understanding of how to exploit the defenses he played against and the power running ability to shove it down their throat if need be. So for me, it's very, VERY easy: Tommy Frazier then: Gill/Frost Steve Taylor Eric Crouch In terms of best QB? I would put Crouch much higher....tied with Frost behind Frazier, but NOT best OPTION QB by a long shot.
  6. The West is weak, there is no reason Nebraska can't win it.
  7. The Spanish Armada sailed on England in 1588, however, that had nothing to do with Columbus who sailed the ocean blue in 1492
  8. I wanted him to succeed too. I was rooting for him to win all the way through yesterday...I knew he was gone, but I wanted him to win...even if it was in his one last game, because I am a Nebraska fan. If he succeeded, my beloved Huskers succeeded. But I said when he was hired that you shouldn't hire a career .500 guy. That career .500 wasn't because he was a new coach trying to turn around a program. He had been coaching for a long, long, time before he came to NU. His past coaching was a large sample size. So, he ends up 19-19. Who's surprised? So, Riley shouldn't have been at Nebraska...Nebraska deserves better. I wish him well, but I couldn't care less how nice he is. Time to move on.
  9. Yes, he played safety for the Jets, Browns, Packers, and Buccaneers.
  10. So, I'm not sure how this works. Does Moos have full authority over hiring and firing of coaches? Or, would it be reasonable to expect him to work with others within the administration on hiring? Just curious.
  11. LOL, just referencing your conspiracy theory about Vegas having the fix in....haha.
  12. refs eat the flag on every play where Wisky holds or interferes, but when the Huskers do it......
  13. I guess we're going to negate every return by DPE with a penalty
  14. Ahhh, there it is. I knew it would be coming. So freaking predictable.
  15. I dislike Mike Riley too. But I dislike him because he lied about the way he was going to coach at Nebraska and because he used Nebraska to provide jobs for a bunch of washed up coaches who couldn't even hack it at OSU.
  16. Hate any unis that say the name of the team across the front (ala tex-ASS or oklahoma). It reminds me of a kid's cheap replica.
  17. Idk, he's been improving that program every year since he got there. I think he'll do a lot better than 8-4 this year. In another thread where I pointed out MR's career stats at OSU, I was told you can't win in Corvallis. So I pointed out that Leach was winning at Wazzu and it's smaller and farther out in the sticks than Corvallis. Of course, all the "expert" legends jumped all over me for even suggesting that Leach was a good coach. .....last I checked, Wazzu is undefeated, ranked close to the top 10 and just upset #4 USC. Leach can coach. He wouldn't be my first pick, but he would be a HUGE upgrade from MR.
  18. I don't know what level spurs1990 teaches, but it's been my experience that most of the "what if...." questions have little to do with "science or inquery [sic] in general" and seldom are they motivated by "curiosity about possibilities". That is, other than the possibility of sidetracking a teacher in order to waste class time and avoid doing any actual learning. The old saying: There are no dumb questions.... is a myth.
