  1. Wrong! Off the top of my head: Simpson's (well, back when they were good), Archer, Rick and Morty are all excellent.
  2. No, I'm saying those are not the same things because they draw different conclusions.
  3. The argument is sort of the reverse - it's that Husker fans now think the B1G is better because of the Huskers losing but teach and others are saying that's not true because the Huskers aren't as good. If Day goes .500 or even .700 against Michigan, he'll get canned.
  4. I wonder if this tangent into the Mueller Report is so we don't talk about immigration and the children being locked up in cages. Six migrant children have died in U.S. custody. Here’s what we know about them
  5. Wat? Why would the Left care about interracial marriage?
  6. Tell us why it's not evidence of conspiracy then. It looks like an agreement and an overt act to me but as noted in the report, it would be hard to prove criminal intent.
  7. Yes, but it also means that if something happens to expose her to other news sources - like the Amash town hall - then she might change her mind. I was just pointing out that not of Trump's supporters are close-minded and reaching out to them could still work.
  8. While I think there are some that can't be reasoned with or convinced, there are some who are simply blinded by their news sources. I can't find the video right now, but after Justin Amash's town hall, a woman being interviewed said that was the first that she'd heard of Trump having done anything wrong. She said she'd only been watching conservative news outlets. My impression was that she was shocked by what Amash had revealed and was going to look into it more. So there's still some out there that can listen to reason but are simply in the conservative echo chamber.
  9. Considering that Hillary didn't have the authority to approve or disapprove the deal and she didn't even take part in approving the Uranium One deal, this argument falls apart quickly.
  10. Here's the question though: does that amount ultimately come out of the employee's pay? It's a bit of chicken-and-the-egg, but payroll taxes are primarily levied against the employee.
  11. The company withholds it, but the employee pays for it.
  12. None. WE the consumers pay sales tax.
  13. Shoplifting is a misdemeanor. Plus the cops didn't even charge them with anything.
  14. I strongly disagree that moderates and swing/independent voters are the same group or that they'd mostly find the same policies appealing.
  15. But how else are you going to force the PD to do anything?
  16. I think you are both missing my point, and we're talking passed each other. Let me clarify my stance. I already said we have every right to defend ourselves against foreign meddling in our elections. I did not say Trump was correct or agree with him in any way. I also did not say that because we've done it that we should be less upset or less vigilant. What I am saying is that we shouldn't turn a blind eye to our own actions and history, and how we choose to respond or solve these issues should take into account the context of history.
  17. Of course we should. This makes no sense. History and context do matter. It's like saying that someone punching you in the face has no relevance to you punching them in the face. One possible reaction is for us to stop punching people in the face because then they might be inclined not to do it to us. The US has toppled democratically elected governments in order to put friendly dictators into power, so that argument doesn't really hold much weight.
  18. I don't think he has to be cornered to point it out, nor do I think pointing out our own history should be taboo.
  19. teach can make that argument if he wants, but that's definitely not the way he wrote that post. See if you can figure out why the post is meant to be funny.
