  1. It's time to bring Scott Frost back from Oregon and get him on our coaching staff. He's been running their receivers and his receivers at Oregon know how to block and support the run - and still catch. RiverRunner
  2. I don't believe there is a "long term image" for the Big 12. The Texas schools will find a model providing more economic benefit for them, then they are gone. GBR RR
  3. If so; Can you imagine the backslapping, belley laughing, beer drinking get together on Sunday night with Bo and Carl! Now that's a pretty cool image. Couple of 'ol Boys gaming the system..... GBR
  4. Scott Frost would be a great idea. He has been coaching receivers at Oregon for the last one maybe two years. He has to have picked up some good habits there! Bring Scott back, nobody out there has more to anchor him to Nebraska than Scott Frost and the whole Frost Family! Tremendous Idea there HuskerHandy35!!!
  5. To the Administrator that Moved this Posting: You silly clod. How many people have tried to reach out with something we can all agree on before we end the series. People like to respond to something they find attractive - Texas people like BBQ. Have a little forsight before you make decisions and maybe think... ................
  6. Hey there all you A & M Fans! I used to travel to Houston often for business and found the Texas Style BBQ sauce and preparation to be about the very best thing I've ever had. Damn, that Beef Brisket and pork ribs were to die for. As I remember, you Texas folks like a very thin, vinegar based sauce and a rub that let the smoke do the talkin' Now while I am living out here in Oregon, I'd love to be able to produce an honorable Texas style brisket to go along with Oregon smoked Chinook Salmon!!! I am not a Duck fan by the way, wife and I both have graduate degrees at Oregon but we support the Beavers at Oregon State - those folks are old style fans like Huskers and Aggies! Through thick and thin, the Beaver fans have supported their team - just pretty cool folks. Oregon fans have no class......too bad. They will just love CU next year! I'd sure appreciate, in light of this being our mutual farewell game, if you followers of Texas BBQ would post in this thread your favorite Texas style sauce and rub recipes. I will then use this recipe and toast the Aggies for years to come! Now I would never ask this favor from a Teasips! but I think the A&M / Huskers relationship has just been pretty good over the years and I hope you will go out of your way a little bit! Go Big Red - Go Aggies
  7. I checked the online Dish programming site this am and the game is listed on one of the game plan channels! GBR
  8. All of the regional games get played on either ESPN or Game Plan, correct? So if NU is broadcast regionally in the midwest, it should show up on the west coast, correct? GBR
  9. I can't find a schedule showing the NU / A&M game on Dish-Game Plan for the weekend in Oregon. Does anyone have a webpage that shows the games this early in the week? I'd like to invite folks over for the game, but want to assure myself we'll have coverage. GBR
  10. Thanks for the response. I heard a strong rumor from a friend I can usually trust, but you never know...I thought I'd ask you guys. Bo says Zac is fine and should be able to play Saturday. In Bo-Speak, that can mean anything from "Zac is actually fine" to "Zac died an hour ago." I wouldn't trust a thing Bo says when it comes to injuries. If you trust your source, I would believe what they're telling you. I also fully expect Cody Green to start against Kansas and play most, if not all, of the game. Now THAT is really funny!
  11. Me too! I thought for sure we'd see Burkhead throw a long one. I'll bet it would have been open. And Rex would have nailed the pass. I'll bet Turner Gill is going to be up late tonight worrying, how in the world to defend against that very pass from the Wildcat. It's the one you can't afford to defend, but makes you look really silly if it works..... You have to admit, Watson has tried his best to use what resources he has to the best of our team's abilities. We had people playing way outside of their comfort zones and they rose to the occasion. GBR
  12. Niles Paul = Terrance Nunn
  13. Thats because dish and fox are in a pissing match. You dont get FX or any of the FSN's if you have dishnetwork right now. OK, appreciate understanding the reason why I'm not getting it, but, is it available on the internet somewhere else? Thanks all. GBR RR
  14. Dish has not been broadcasting the Pelini show the last few weeks, at least not in the Portland, OR market. Anyone know where or if this show is available via the internet? Thanks. GBR RR
  15. Our future is the Pass Action Play Let T-Magic spread out the field with a pass play at scrimage, then as the field opens up during the play and a running lane appears, Taylor is off to the races. Doesn't matter if it is a design play or a pickup off a true pass play, it is always there for us. Amazing what a mobile, dual threat QB will do! If I was the Mizzery D-Coach, this is what would be keeping me up at night this week......... GBR RR
  16. Let's make a pact here...............no mention EVER of Sam Keller in reference to the likes of Zac Taylor or Joe Ganz. Those guys, Taylor and Ganz, are studs and played their hearts out, people who gained the respect of everyone in the program. Remember Taylor getting the snot kicked out of him because we didn't have an O-line - he kept playing and kept playing and getting up time after time after no blocking support. Same with Ganz - he made up for areas where the team couldn't support him. Joe Ganz was a bright light in the funk. T-Magic sure looks like he is making his own way to date. The kid has game! I bet T-Magic has earned the respect of Zac Taylor and Joe Ganz! Keller played because his Daddy had pictures on "he who shall not be mentioned"...... GBR RR
  17. Really too bad Colt isn't facing the Lions tomorrow in his first Pro start............ Go SUH Man! GBR
  18. We heard that hit clear across the field in the Card Section. Biggest Hit I've ever seen. RR
  19. I'd like to see a blowout, BUT I'd also like to see Nebraska call a time out with 1 second left in the game........then kneel on the last play. You, my friend are evil - but I'd sure like to buy you a beer. That is the best visual I've had for a long time. GBR
  20. Those of you who took offense at the "I hate N" sign...wait to you go to your first conference battle at Iowa. A few of those people have taken "nasty" to the level of a profession. they can't be as bad as CU fans......they are just plan heathens! As a HUSKER in Oregon; I can't wait until the folks at Oregon meet up with the folks from CU. Probably a good idea to marshall the National Guard for crowd control ahead of time...... These two groups of fans really deserve each other. PAC10 - Really funny how the folks in Seattle were so nice (was in Seattle for the last two NU games) and the people in Eugene have such a terrible(CU like) reputation. RR
  21. We had enough people in the stadium that during the 4th quarter, Husker fans were doing an honest 360-degree wave in Husky stadium! It was Epic!!! We OWNED Husky Stadium!!! The Washington Fans were very nice; same good, friendly folks we see in Lincoln. RiverRunner
  22. I live in Portand and will be taking a Red Raincoat no matter what the weatherman says! GBR
  23. Here's an idea. Does your phone have a browser that can stream radio? If so, listen to the game on your cell phone. I've got an IPhone and listen to 620AM - The Zone - every morning on the way to work going between Portland and Salem, OR. Also listened to the WKU game last Saturday on a Sirius portable receiver sitting on a sand bar on the Snake River at the bottom of Hell's Canyon on a raft trip. We were a long way from cell service there! Good Luck! GBR
  24. Wondering who the Big 12 is going after to replace NU and CU? I spoke yesterday with a big BYU supporter and he said their forums and rumors are that the Big 12 is going after them? I guess I've not paid any attention to what the Big 12 is doing, but told my friend I would post the question here. Anyone hear that BYU is a possible replacement? Thanks in advance. RiverRunner
