  1. When your defense is a walking MASH unit, you do your best with what you got.
  2. And that’s probably ballgame unless the D can get one of their own…
  3. We have at least two of the three with Mickey.
  4. Yeah we’re down by only four with a MASH unit. Can’t wait to see how we do with a bye week and a healthy roster
  5. That was a really s****y spot. Gave Purdue an extra half yard or so
  6. Either Purdue is trying to lull the defense to sleep or they’re scared and want to eat clock…rushing like they are in the shadow of their goalposts…
  7. What Mickey has done with this team…I hear the Pope is considering it a major miracle for Sainthood.
  8. So yeah…I was wrong about going for 2. But I wasn’t wrong about us scoring again.
  9. When we get our next TD we’ll be going for two (unless Purdue scores again before we score). This team and these kids are *THIS* close to winning a game like this.
  10. This is case-in-point for why we need a facepalm +1...if Skers isn't just being goofy.
  11. Yeah, forgot about this too in DFW. Messed up a lot of kids’ lives with that fraudulent school.
  12. It’s been mentioned (via 1310am The Ticket) that Deion was strongly rumored to be a regular to the infamous White House during the first year (plus it minus) of his stay with the Cowboys while the White House was operational. IIRC, House was busted late 1996, Deion arrived Summer 1995. About a year and a few months overlap.
  13. Spousal and female abuse seems to be (silently) condoned by many of the religious institutions in the state…so I presume that’s perfectly acceptable in their eyes. .
  14. Nebraska also is very anti-escort and anti-cocaine. Two big strikes against landing him.
  15. Good article, thanks--I read it before, and while I agree with the writer that this makes more logical sense, these decisions also come down to Id, Ego, and $$. Liepold may like the narrative of the Wisky son come home to right the ship. Or Wisky may pay him enough $$ for him to like it. And I don't know about the writer's assertion that Nebraska is a rebuild at this point--maybe the O-Line and D-Line, and that's it. And with the transfer portal...
  16. Let's be honest here--with Wisky in the mix, we're *not* going to get Liepold to Lincoln. If Mickey gets the job done (the job being to get this team to a bowl game...or better), he should get the position and we try to keep the current band together to improve (maybe find a full time DC if Busch wants to swing back to being Special Teams coordinator). I'm really hoping Mickey knocks this out of the park and not only gets us to a bowl game, but steals one we shouldn't win somewhere. He's doing the right things, saying the right things, he's a great recruiter, *and* he's a former Husker from our halcyon days. How could someone *not* want to root for Mickey to get the job done?* Honestly, Mickey could potentially be what ScoFro *should* have been if he could have kept his nose out of the co-eds and party scene. *Central and Western NE excluded--we know why you're rooting against him. I've already heard it firsthand mixing with folks from GI and parts west.
  17. Watched the BC and Iowa games--Rutgers has a good RB and WR, but they're otherwise pedestrian. I could see them getting, say, 21-24 points on us, and their defense is probably the best we've seen yet this season. Having said this, Rutgers is having problems with the QB spot, and Vedral was iffy for today last I knew. He hasn't played any of the games so far this season, and the backups...were okay, I guess. I'd like to say a 28-24 win for us is in the cards, but I'm assuming Vedral is QBing for Rutgers.
  18. Look, if they win Saturday, I'll contribute to making it trend. Then again, Scott's #BigDEnergy allegedly contributed to his downfall, soooooo...
  19. Indeed. Too bad there aren't enough 18-24 year old women who could play defense at the D-1 level, or Scott's alleged recruiting practices would have borne fruit. And more if proper precautions were not taken.
  20. Dragin' my heart around? And if Urban Meyer is so magical, why not throw him at our basketball program and see what shakes out? /s
  21. It’s also coming from a state that’s one of the worst in public education and that thinks it’s still okay to lynch people of color. I wouldn’t consider anything they suggest as noteworthy.
  22. Don't worry. If MJ wins the B1G--hell, if he can even get us to the B1G Title Game, he'll get the Brinks truck backed up to his house in a hurry. Hell, if MJ can even get us to a bowl game, that would warrant a Brinks Truck and long-term deal IMO. We know he can recruit, and he's proven he can coach at that point.
