There's no way that any decent position coach/coordinator is going to come to Nebraska, when we all know that firing your assistants is the last desparate act of a coach on the hotseat.

I have heard a complaint from a player, who explained that the outdoor practice field's field turf is in worse condition than the indoor facility and Memorial Stadium, and that could have been a key factor in the knee injuries to Rose and Jackson.

It's not hard to connect the dots. #3 exposes the "misinformation" about his turf toe after the Minnesota game. We all know Bo did not appreciate having to explain himself to the media after that. Then last week #3 watches the game from the press box, while an injured Kenny Bell (in street clothes 2nd half) is on the sideline high-diving teammates as they come off field, and warming up RK3 before the Hail Mary. Now, #3 doesn't even make the trip, when Big Ten rules allow injured Sr players to travel w/o counting against roster. Ask yourself this: If you were a 3yr starting Senior QB, and Team Captain, would you be with the team and on the sidelines for these two games?!

Yes sir. My son and I just joined the Outlaws a couple of weeks ago, and this will be the first time we have ever attended a USMNT match. Can't wait!

@dirkchatelain According to the BTN crew, Nebraska will go 28-0 this fall, beating opponents by an average of 437-4. To me, sounds like Dirky's jealous that BTN was granted full access! There's no doubt that some of the local media have been whining about how little access they have been granted during fall camp!

Completely agree, and anyone who apologizes for this group simply did not watch the games this season.

My disappointment is with Ted Silva. Not one NU pitcher made the 1st-3rd team All-Big Ten teams! Seriously, can anyone name me ONE pitcher who has improved during the last 2 years? Injuries happen, and it's a contributing factor, but to me, there is no excuse for Silva having to put way too many innings on Vogt (and sometimes Roeder), because he hasn't developed anyone else who can consistently throw strikes out of the bullpen!

I thought the Huskers showed some real fight for the first 7 innings, but laid down once the 8th inning started to unravel. We simply don't have the pitching depth to match Texas on "ace night" (Friday). The boys really need a "W" to get their confidence rolling, and the offense is going to have to lead the way. Pierce pitched his butt off last night, but about 3 50/50 calls went against him, and the ump cost us a run by calling back Kash after he got hit by a pitch that was 12 in off the plate. I think Harvey was just trying to show everyone that he's the chancellor, he makes the decision on who the next AD not TO. I don't think he's trying to be a rock star by any means, I just think he wants people to know he's in charge, he decides who wants running the Athletic Department because that's his job, and there's nothing wrong with that at all. Some may not like how it played out, but what can you do? No. Harvey was just doing his job. This whole notion that he's throwing his weight around is baseless. Totally agree. Harvey is sticking his neck out on this hire, and I respect the fact that he just didn't take the easy route, and promote a "Nebraska guy". Why would he carelessly hire someone when he knows that he will be fired if the new AD results in "Steve Pederson 2.0"?

Really?!!!! This should be the last thing that fans should be B & M'ing over! I totally understand that the coaching staff should bear the criticism. They are paid professionals, and in this in this profession, criticism is part of the job. But no "fan" should not come out and pile on a bunch of 18-22 year olds. They want to compete and win way more than any of us fans!

We all know that Beebe wasn't man enough to personally call Pelini and inform him of his decision to suspend Martin. The funny thing is, Beebe actually played football in college (albeit in Walla Walla Washington), so you would think that he knows as well as anyone else about legal/illegal football hits. It's not as though I needed another reason for why I want NU to win the Big 12 Championship, but the image of Assclown Beebe having to hand Pelini the trophy would be priceless!
