  1. didnt get to watch the game, how did we play against Sherff??

  2. Everyone should probably just come to grips with the fact that Bo's staying. That win saved his job, hopefully there are HUGE changes on his coaching staff, but only time will tell. I don't think he's going anywhere now.

Sounds speculative. Beating a mediocre 7-5 team (who had an even more mediocre schedule to achieve that result) in overtime should have no bearing––none whatsoever––on the Big Picture. You know, the one Bo publicly admitted he doesn't worry about.

  3. Not only do I think Bo is staying, I'm beginning to wonder if any changes will be made. I don't know if I can handle another year of Beck.

I'm 90% with Street Novelist. I'll watch the games, but I will be in hibernation during the offseason. Retaining this staff is a direct endorsement of mediocrity from the AD and the BOR.

  4. Watched Same McKewon's breakdown video following the game. What in the hell is wrong with the Nebraska press? The amount of emphasis they put on a comeback victory over 7-5 Iowa is about to burst a blood vessel in my head.

I enjoyed it plenty. Then I put it in perspective and returned to the obvious: the game should have no impact whatsoever on what happens with this staff.

  5. Things are getting desperate in there. Someone literally said we were 2 plays away from being 11-1. #MoralVictories

Bo defenders have nothing left to reach for. Now we're hearing about alternate universe seasons where if the team hadn't played like they consistently played, we could have been better. That's a two-edged sword, my friends.

Doesn't have to be a leaky ship. Just has to be decisive. You really don't need any more evidence.

  7. Tommy Armstrong needs to be given more roll out run pass option plays. He seems most effective when he's kinda winging it ala Johnny Manziel.

He needs a system that suits his strengths. What he presently has is Tim Beck.

  8. I get this season has been a joke, but I am still happy that we won.. Season has been a joke but still glad we won.

So am I. Nobody likes losing. Unfortunately, silly people will equate beating a mediocre team in overtime as a reason to keep Bo. It's not.

  9. I got a feeling that Friday, something big happens.

  10. I would like some inside info on Husker football please. Just PM me as all the kids are saying these days

  11. just read Tom and Dirk's columns...even they turned on him...saying it's time for Pelini to go...I just don't see how Pelini can stay for another season.

    1. Husker_x

      Husker_x

Dirk flat called for change. So far as I know, that is a new thing. And to the OP, I don't see it either. How could Eichorst even EXPLAIN keeping this awful staff intact?

  12. So I went for some late night McDonald's, threw away the fries, disgusting

  13. Is it just me, or is everyone talking about Pelini the past tense?

His demeanor at the press conference was out of the norm. I wonder if the speculation about benchmarks not being met has something to it.

      Dirk's column flat-out called for a change. "It's someone else's turn."

  15. Get over it people and show Support to our team for wins as well as losses -- we are NEBRASKA CORNHUSKER FANS --

    1. Husker_x

      Husker_x

I choose to support our team by doing anything I can to lend support to a coaching change. That is our only recourse if we are serious as fans about this football program. No more half measures.

  16. "We haven't regressed" Really Bo?

  17. I'm gonna step away for a few days while all the "fairweathers" start their "I told you so" threads... M*therf*ckers aren't seen or heard from for months or years, but manage to show up in the past couple weeks, letting us know that they've seen this coming all along...

    1. Husker_x

      Husker_x

I don't think it's worth going down that road. Right now the fanbase needs to be united to bring about the changes that will make a mediocre program into one that competes for championships.

  18. I'm not embarrassed after this one like last week. Of course, I think I was one of a few that respected Minnesota. Still surprised they beat us at home. Kind of inspiring to see Coach Kill do such a great job.

    1. Husker_x

      Husker_x

I also respected Minnesota and felt they would give us all we could handle after they throttled Iowa. I am not at all surprised by this result, and I don't know why anyone else would be. They're a well coached team. We are not.

  19. Thank you Kenny Bell and thank you Bo Pelini. I have never, ever before wanted to see the Huskers lose a game. Never. But after your recent comments and cluelessness I find myself

  20. Things are turning really caustic here. Just cannot fathom why we would keep Bo after this season. Our fan base has officially turned. It's in the best interest for everyone now for Eichorst to make a coaching change. Need to clear the grime and create a positive atmosphere. Eichorst, Board of Regents - make your move.

  21. Bo "Herpes" Pelini, one contracted he never goes away. Flares up once or twice a year.

    1. Husker_x

      Husker_x

Well, carlfense, I look forward to hearing what possible reasons they could have. Even if we went down a division to get an up-and-comer who's run a program before (something beneath our financial potential), I don't think in our division we have to worry about snapping the mystical nine game streak simply because we change coaches. What we might do, though, is avoid NCAA records being broken on us.
