  1. My link I like hearing this. This sounds more like the spread option attack of Oregon or Michigan. The note that he's been promised he won't be redshirting - does that mean that if he ends up on campus, he'll get serious playing time at QB, or that they'll try to get him on the field somewhere else? It's fun to think about ways of getting Martinez, Starling, Turner, Rex and Aaron Green all on the field at the same time... Dear Lord, haven't I been saying this for months now? Having a mobile QB roll out of the pocket where he is a threat to run or throw is just a no-brainer. Especially for a QB like Martinez who looks uncomfortable in the pocket. Gents, I think the future is bright for dear old Nebraska U. I fully agree! Bo now finally has "his" staff and I'm betting they'll tear things up. A healthy Tmart rolling out will give opponent DCs extreme good reason to attend their local AA meeting. Give the guy a crease and he's GONE. Sell out to contain him and there should be wide open wrs everywhere. Even better, with our new WR coach they might even start catching passes. Those poor DC dudes will be dying a horrible death having to pick thier poison. For some reason 99% of the posters here can't see our freshman qb improving but I do and he's already a deadly threat when healthy. Yep, things are looking good for the Mudville boys. next fall is going to be fun!
  2. I like your thinking and it would be great I Carnes turns out that way, but you know what they say...if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle.
  3. Run up the score? While the Arizona game was promising the idea of running up the score on teams this year seems a little far fetched at this point.
  4. The real question is, for Nebraska fans, how does it feel to have a classless AD in Osborne? Nice Press Conference-Way to throw everyone under the bus on your way out of the Big 12. Cause of course it's everyone elses fault, except Nebraska right? Please. Man up and show some class. You chose to leave. Nobody forced you out. All I can say is don't let the door hit ya. kind of like what it did to todd reesing when he got kicked out of the CFL? i do not think TO was blaming anyone, he was just explaining the circumstances around their decision. if you really think Osborne was classless, it is because you are letting your preconceived biases control your perceptions. Plus, I don't think jayhawk fans really have any room to talk about classiness of ADs.
  5. Their problem is that they can never hope to sniff a measure of the success we've enjoyed in the only sport that matters, so they cop an attitude about our state/location/people/whatever being inferior.
  6. My friend's mom is boinking some flunky that works for Delaney and he said they are exploring a 64 team conference set up like the March basketball tournament. Seeding will be determined by academic ranking, attractiveness of cheerleaders and who washes Kirk Herbstreit's balls the best.
  7. I hope so. I hear the kids from the illions are freaks.
  8. Reminded me of Terrell Farley, especially when he lined up at linebacker and blitzed.
  9. I really like the white socks pulled up and white shoes. Wouldn't mind seeing us go back to that.
  10. And this. No way Trev could command more respect than Dr. Tom.
  11. It's not illegal, it's frowned upon.

  12. Have to admit, this made me laugh.
  13. Exactly. Aside from 2010, the future non-conference schedules are very respectable. I don't have a problem with any of them.
  14. I think it's the spats. Looks tough, plays tough.
  15. Callafraud went for the 3 while getting pounded by OU a few years ago. OU 30 NU 3 11/13/04 With less than one minute remaining in the game, Oklahoma went for it on fourth down, but White's completion to Ataleo Ford came up four yards short at the Nebraska 13. Following a penalty that put the Huskers at their 28, fullback Steve Kriewald rambled 48 yards to the OU 24. Kriewald followed his career-long rush with a three-yarder before quarterback Joe Dailey spiked the ball with one second and David Dyches connected on a 39-yard field goal on the final play of the game for the Huskers' only points of the contest. if I remember correctly, it was more of a response to Stoops trying to run up the score on us for BCS points. It was more of an F you FG.
  16. Boy he was good. That sure was fun to watch. Thanks for posting!
  17. As a math geek, what this says to me is that they have no clue who is going to win on Saturday and their projection has little (if any) meaning.
  18. I voted for Kiffin on this poll, but I believe it's Rick Neuheisel.
  19. Who would you have them play instead? No team this season impressed me all that much. I think Iowa or Penn St. were probably their only other choice.. What more would beating a weak BigTeleven has-been prove? Sorry for the rant, but I've seen more than enough B11 games on TV this year (knocking my Husker games to PPV) and sick and tired of all the obnoxious Buckeye fans that have been coming out here lately. Boise fans remind me of the friendly Husker fans back home and I'd imagine TCU fans are mighty nice, too. Even the smurfy ones. I don't think anyone is questioning whether TCU and Boise should be in BCS bowls. We would just like to see them playing so-called "power conference" teams. redout's suggestion of TCU vs. FL and Boise vs. Cincy sounds fun to me.
  20. Curtis, Please come to Lincoln. You will probably be our best offensive player from day 1 and will get us over the hump and into BCS games. Even now we're only 1 point away.
  21. I live in LA and have to deal with Trojan and Bruin crap all the time. I have no love for either school; I probably hate the Trojans more because their fans are more annoying (they also have more bandwagoners than any other team I've seen). In this case though, I'll side with the Trojans and Pete Carroll. He was doing the classy thing and taking the knee. Slick Rick had no business calling that timeout. The Bruins were down by 2 TDs with only seconds left, the game was over! Now, if you want to play to the final second, fine. But you can't fault Carroll for doing the same thing. As far as the celebration goes, Pete and the Trojans are super enthusiastic after any score, but they always do a little extra celebrating against UCLA. The Bruins acted like pussies.
  22. I think the "back" discussion starts with a conference title.
  23. I tend to agree with the sentiment that we should win this game handily. However, if they can run the ball on us like they did against OU we could have issues. I think (hope) we can contain their running game, but the front four and linebackers have to be ready to get after it every play. That big RB Thomas doesn't go down easily.
