  1. "Sometimes it buries it's head in your crotch, and you have to tap it on the nose with a rolled up newspaper, or give it a scholarship". They sometimes pee on the rug? Geez, and all this time, I thought Colorado recruits were already housebroken. You can lead a Buffalo to water, but you can't make him behave.
  2. 11:30, ok I was wondering why I was just looking at a black screen on ketv.com's link.
  3. Scared, I'm not scared. I'm just pacing like a caged animal waiting to be fed. I keep counting down the time till Kickoff of the first game. I'm more of a can't wait/can't sleep nervousness you had on Christmas Eve. I think that Cornhusker fans are a lot more anxious this year after last years season because they want to start a new chapter in Husker Football.
  4. I don't really think he's trying to tear the team a new one, I wonder if maybe he's trying to keep Nebraska under the radar or if Nebraska really needs that much work. Maybe he's looking for that stand out moment or momentum breaker. I wonder if the overall intensity of the players was a little flat. I imagine that Pelini is going to express to the team that every game is a big game, and to not overlook anybody, I imagine by the end of this week, Nebraska will be ready. As far as breaking down a team, on one of the Husker videos I have (It might be A day in the life of Husker Football), Coach McBride is seen telling a Nebraska Defender "If you move any slower, your heart will stop!" Pelini might be wanting to see the team kicking it up another notch and is trying to figure out how the team AND the coaches can reach that next level.. Maybe they're not horrible, he just isn't satisfied with the team leveling out. Even if you're a average team, if average is good, (Average being when he was at Oklahoma and LSU?), or at least you're getting the job done, he might be expressing the desire needing to take them to the next level. I agree with hating the comments that Callahan would make about the team, "We're excellent in all areas", Um, Coach, the 1995 team was excellent. Given time, I think Pelini is going to have the Cornhuskers back to the dominating ways of the 90's. We can't expect leaps and bounds, but we have to show we're heading in the right direction.
  5. I remember in a magazine somewhere they asked Osborne what his plan on Offense was going to be for an upcoming game or season. His dry reply was, "You know, run it a couple hundred times up the middle, pass a few times, the same 'ol boring stuff". I hope to see some smashmouth football out of the Cornhuskers again this year. Domination is the name of the game.
  6. I'm hoping to be at The Varsity or Brewsky's or Buffalo Wild Wings or someplace in Omaha watching the game with tons of other Husker Fans. I'll be super loud just watching the game. I have to work from 8-4:30 so at least I won't be pacing the floor at home before the game.
  7. I came to this board looking for somewhere else to post with Cornhusker Fans somewhere other than cstv.com's message board on Nebraska. Their board was pretty much non existent after we lost to Auburn in 2007. I really like the knowledge of fellow Cornhusker Fans and how everybody is 100% behind the team win or lose. They say Cornhusker fans are the best fans in the country, and I think a great deal of them post here.
  8. wXrYAUiYdXo KZimumOkA1s Turn it up for the neighbors to hear!! 6eNIhZ8jGMw I've got the same chills running through my body I had before the start of the 1994 season! I think Nebraska is going to shock the world this year and show that Husker Domination is BACK!!!
  9. I can't wait! I say we post videos to help us get ready. I'm so excited I can't sit still, and I have to do something to help the week pass by. GO HUSKERS!! 1L0VHkMbppE

  11. I might like calling Mangino "The Fat Man" but I have the utmost respect for him as a coach because of the way he's been able to turn the Kansas Jayhawks around. He knows that it's a team effort. zmAYpAzNB34 As far as the Jayhawks go, I see them as much more of a rival than Collorado. I think Kansas and Nebraska respect each other. I hope to see Kansas rocking on in the Big XII North. The better our 2 teams get the more the games against each other will be on TV.
  12. I keep having this daydream of former Huskers on the sidelines, and instead of "I play for Nebraska" The former players start to take the field to form the entrance from the tunnel onto the field as a video plays expressing what it has meant to have been a football player for Nebraska and what it means to be back in 2008 to see the New era. Towards the end of the video some of the key players like Frazier etc could say, "I played for Nebraska!", then they could start a Tunnel Walk that begins the new era. Just an ongoing thought I have.
  13. The game where Nebraska led into the 4th Quarter and if I remember correctly this is the game where Keller got the broken Collar Bone. I think by the end of this game my thoughts of Callahan were "Stick a fork in him. he's done". Nebraska had the talent and didn't have the heart to go 4 quarters. For 3 we played the Longhorns hard, then we seemed to give up when it mattered most. I think I might have to watch it to see where we were and how we're headed in the right direction.
  14. My older brother has a badass looking Skull tat on his right shoulder that is black charcoal and gray and has some awesome depth to it so it looks dimensional. If he added crossbones to it, it would be an awesome tribute to the Blackshirts. He is a Husker Fan, but I think his tat has deeper meaning to it than that.
  15. Bill Callahan was interviewed after his meeting with Brett Favre and was quoted saying, "I'm very pleased with the results of our meeting. Also, we're not sure of what do to so Brett Favre isn't tackled during practice. He's got on a green jersey already, but then again the Jets Defense never touched anybody in '07 anyhow."
  16. Gentlemen, we have the technology. We can rebuild them. To make them stronger than they were before. BETTER.. STRONGER.. FASTER.. Can't wait to see the positive results out there on the field. Nebraska is going to be a powerhouse!
  17. If I'm going to be able to watch the game, I have on my #5 Jersey, and a Black T shirt of some kind underneath, hopefully Red Boxers, Husker Socks. I've got to be wearing a Husker Hat during the games too. I used to buy a pack of Big Red Gum, and not start it till kick off, and drink Big Red Soda during the game. TV is in the living room. If it's at my Parents House it's in the Family Room with the big TV. I usually can't sit down most of the time because I'm that excited.
  18. Wait a second the "Boz" was at Nebraska? And all these years I had a beef with the guy for nothing? I could have sworn that he was with Oklahoma. But since ESPN says it's so, it must be true.
  19. Why not Have people wear 2 shirts to the game. Wear a Blackshirt underneath and a Red Shirt on top? Then when the Defense is on the field, people could take the Red Shirt off and be wearing their Blackshirt. Or to save time, someone could market a Husker Shirt where the outside is red, and if you wear it inside out, it's black. It would be cook to see people at the game taking off their shirts and turning them inside out for the Offense and Defense. I'm sure the ladies would do it to show their support.
  20. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SP...p;Q_SEASON=2008 http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SP...p;Q_SEASON=2008 Looks like the Mack Truck is starting up and ready to roll again!
  21. I understand the belief of the polls being fixed. I wonder if the pre-season polls have any effect on the BCS polls? Although the BCS rankings come out during the season, the early games and the "strength of schedule" could have something to do with it.
  22. An Iowa State Fan Watching TV: "Look, there's a Nebraska game on". *Click* "Ooh, Andy Griffith!" "Iowa State is on TV and Iowa State is losing. The Refs must have been paid off.."
  23. I just remembered I also have in laws that are ISU fans, and to them the ISU players walk on Water. When Nebraska had Callahan and we'd lose to ISU it was like Christmas for them. That and one time I was with the in laws watching the ISU - Nebraska game in Carroll. Iowa and they had on their "Beat Nebraska" Red and Yellow Jerseys on. I of course had on Nebraska Stuff. I was probably the odd man out at the bar and grill, but I know we beat them that year. It was fun hearing the ISU fans get upset.
  24. I have in laws in Iowa and they're Hawkeye Fans. My Mother in Law doesn't hate Nebraska, she just doesn't want to see a "Miami Hurricane Attitude" in the Nebraska Players that they're at the top so they can do no wrong. As far as the debate with the relatives that are ISU fans go, ask them, "How many National Championships does ISU have? Ok, how many National Championships have your head coach gotten while he was with another team?" Nebraska is working it's way back op to Dominance, but ISU will still be ISU.
