  1. Thanks for the confirmation Vuren. From what I've been reading, it may be the only reason I get '10. It will bring back memories of the good ol' days of my older brother and I making up our own schools and throwing them into Dynasty Mode and facing off in the NC.
  2. I'm pretty sure that was the first year they didn't have it, at least on the 360 version, I don't know if it was on the original XBox version or not.
  3. Isn't that behavior par for the course for the CU/CSU game every year. Police, tear gas, ripping seats out? I had some friends who went to the NU/CU game in Boulder a few years ago (can't remember the exact one). They said they had a very similar experience to this one. Nobody likes having beer dumped on them mid-game.
  4. I used to have it, never got any of the DLC for it. They're essentially extra missions. One of my friends played the Anchorage mish, said you can get some awesome power armor and weapons out of it. I heard that the Pitt is pretty good. I'm personally waiting for the new Fallout to come out. One of the guys at GameStop said the next one is going to be set in Vegas.
  5. I myself am considering attending the Mizzou game, more for the fact that I may be moving to St. Louis in the near future, so it'd be the closest Husker game to me. I really hope I can make it, I've never been to a true away game yet, and I'd like to get the experience of a different atmosphere around me for a Husker game. If I do go, I hope to meet some guys like fro daddy, I'm always up for good-natured ribbing. I've had my fair share from KSU fans I used to work with.
  6. I'll bite, I haven't shown my ugly mug around hear for quite a while, and this is probably a better place than some to get my feet wet again before doing something stupid elsewhere on the board. Out of Staters: Where do you currently live? Wichita, KS Where have you lived the longest? Taylor/Burwell, NE Where has been your favorite place to live/visit? See above Where is your ideal place to live? I'd really like to live in northern Mississippi. Hobbies: Right now, trying to find a new job having been one of a myriad of employees dumped by the local aviation industry. That and letting my mind wander aimlessly for hours reading webcomics and stuff like that. Regardless, I love my Huskers and location/job status will never change that.
  7. I've already contacted my "people". They are currently checking his phone records and travel plans. I'm hoping this isn't the case, I miss his input on stuff.
  8. He probably moved south to join the chain gang at Auburn so he could stay with Gene Chizik
  9. I agree with the home and home as well, had a nice conversation about it with the Clemson fans in the hotel room next to us. I would go to both games in a heartbeat. Each person I met in Jacksonville wearing orange and purple was a top-class fan and it was great to have a close game with no hard feelings toward each other. I'm looking forward to playing and partying with you guys again , it was a treat.
  10. My uncle was in charge of getting our tickets, I only hope he got them from the University. Either way, I'm looking forward to my first bowl game. GBR
  11. I didn't have the honor of playing football with o against any Huskers past or present, since I played 6-man football in high school. My older brother played basketball against Steve Kriewald, though, and one of my co-workers went to school with Todd Peterson.
  12. You hit the nail on the head my friend. Listening to the Fluffaloes go on about their "rivalry" with NU is a riot. Hopefully someday they'll realize that teams don't become rivals simply by saying "team X is our rival". It takes many years of close-fought battles amidst a myriad of other conditions for it to happen. Just hating someone doesn't do it.
  13. If you think about it, Honorable Mention at QB in the Big XII this year would probably get you at least Second Team in most other conferences around the nation. Ganz has been playing pretty good ball this year. It'll be sad to see him go.
  14. Gee..wasn't even 4 weeks ago and people were calling for Watson's head...I think time will prove that we have the right coaches...all of them. I just hope that they add someone to work with special teams more. Our special teams has seemed pretty special-ed at times this year. This is an area that really needs some effort put into it. Other than that I've enjoyed watching our offense and I see good things to come for the 'Skers.
  15. The look on that woman's face is too good. She's like "you've got to be kidding" Wow, priceless.
  16. Great recipe, I always get a good reception out of it. It's pretty easy, which is good because it goes fast. In a 9x13 glass baking dish spread one package of cream cheese (room temp. is best to work with). Spread pizza sauce on the cream cheese Cover that with shredded cheese and top with whatever you like for pizza toppings Throw that in the oven until the cheese is melted, time and temp aren't greatly important. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips. This is about enough for six guys when served with burgers, so you may want to make extra.
  17. Anywhere in the Haymarket area is a pretty good bet. I'm a big fan of Buzzard Billy's. I second the Lazlo's suggestion as well. I've never been to the original Misty's so I'm not positive where it is, but I've heard it's better than the one downtown. If that's the case, then I strongly recommend that. There's a place on Cornhusker not too far from the stadium, I think it's called the Steak House, that I've eaten at a couple times thats pretty good.
  18. My friend, the first game is the culmination of every Husker fan's dreams. There can be no words to describe the emotion you will feel. To hear 85,000 people screaming their lungs out at the same time, it's like a dream you never want to wake up from. Mad props on making it to the first one, let's hope it's not your last, my friend.
  19. What will the availability of this be, if any upon completion? I would love to give it a whirl!
  20. It's kinda up in the air right now to me. They only have one loss, but they're schedule was rather weak. I truly hope they do, but it'll be one of those wait & see things.
  21. I despise the Tiggers as much as any team in college football. I'm all for the Jayhawks winning out & battling it out for the NC. Plus, it's so awesome to see all the Gay State Mildcat fans at work dwelling on the fact that they couldn't beat aTm when they played in the CCG & the chance for their own shot at the big one. To see KU to what they couldn't would be a sweet, sweet victory. GO 'HAWKS, BEAT MIZZOU!!!! GBR all
  22. I couldn't agree more!!! I don't know whether Coz is delusional, or what, but it's come to the point where most people with an ounce of respect for the fans and themselves would just walk away. Here's hoping for a historic turnaround in years to come!!!! GBR
  23. I honestly think that Doc could be one of the few good decisions Pud made in his tenure here. I see good things coming down the pipe for us on the hardwood. I'm predicting an NCAA tournament birth w/in 3 years.
  24. He did. It's called walk on. We've had several players go through NU that were recruited and offered schollies at other programs, but they walked on at NU and eventually earned a scholly. I emailed a cousin of mine who was a 3-yr starter for us as a walk-on, asking advice for my nephew (4.34-40/ 6'0/195#) who was considering walking on, and had been to several camps back in Lincoln...He told me that there was a change in the walkon program (cutting back) and that they didn't even pursue this record breaking RB from NP (I assume it was Danny). That's the sad thing too, it's really a bummer that guys like this were'nt given a real chance. Walk-ons were an integral part on NU football, they were guys who came out to prove something. They had to earn their spot on the team and then prove they belonged there. I think we could use some players like that, they show true desire to play, and desire can turn an average player into a good player, and a good player into a great one.
  25. People like you, JHaWk, make it bearable to live in Kansas.
