  1. I dont see how going to Washington would be a good move for Mike Leach. Tyrone Willingham drove that program into the dirt, they're about to go winless (which is embarrassing considering how bad the Pac 10 was this year), Washington would be a massive rebuilding project. Leach has already established Texas Tech as a solid program, even without Harrell & Crabtree they'll still be decent next year. Washington would be a step down IMO.
  2. Thats people said when KSU played OU in the CCG, there was no way in hell KSU could beat OU and then it happened. Do I think Mizzou will win? Nope. Can they? Yep. Thats why they play the game. As far as the posters original question, if Mizzou wins: BCS: Mizzou, Tex Cotton: OU Holiday: TTech Gator: NU Alamo: OSU I never said no way KSU beats Oklahoma in 2003. But I will say no way Missouri beats Oklahoma this year. Alabama may beat Florida but no way in hell Missouri beats Oklahoma. Missouri may put up 40 on Oklahoma (Oklahoma's D has not looked so good this year) but Oklahoma will put up 60 on Mizzou.
  3. Firing Tubberville is an incredibly dumb move. He's the best they're gonna get...
  4. There is no way in hell Missouri beats Oklahoma, they do not have the defense to stop Oklahoma's offense.
  5. If so, then what was the point of redshirting him?
  6. When was Jarvis committed to South Carolina?
  7. 1994 Orange Bowl - Florida State 18, Nebraska 16 1995 Orange Bowl - Nebraska 24, Miami 17
  8. 1995 Orange Bowl was 1 of the greatest games ever IMO
  9. #1 I highly doubt u know any more about where Giles ends up than the next guy #2 As was stated earlier, Giles graduates early so if he commits to NU we dont have to worry about TN & SC coaches calling him in February
  10. We've gotten screwed over by the bowl process too. In 2000, Notre Dame got a BCS bid over us even though we finished with as good a record & beat them head-to-head.
  11. Screw Jeremy Crabtree I highly doubt he knows more about where Giles ends up than any1 else.
  12. How exactly does Clemson deserve to be in the Gator Bowl more than Florida State? Clemson finished 7-5, Florida State finished 8-4, & Florida State beat Clemson head to head.
  13. Eh, says he took the test like a week ago. Funny Spurrier was so quick to pounce, though. Not funny at all. Wasnt Reaves, whos on Spurriers staff, also recruiting Giles for Tennessee b/f Kiffin was announced as head coach...in other words while he was still working & being paid as a coach at South Carolina? If so, thats bullsh#t & a complete scumbag move.
  14. If true, this will be an interesting experiment... IMO the #1 reason Callahan failed at Nebraska was b/c he didnt have the balls to fire his buddy Kevin Cosgrove, who was clearly the worst defensive coordinator in the Big XII, if not the nation. But Lane Kiffin will hire his dad Monte Kiffin for DC, so Tennessee should be able to put forth a good defense. Callahan is absolutely unfit for to be a head coach, but he may be able to run an offense well if given the talent. On the plus side, Callahan is a great recruiter (he had a hell of a recruiting class assembled before our 2007 season went down the toilet), but may have lost some credibility among recruits after failing miserably at Nebraska. On the bad side, Callahan is not a good playcaller (very predictable in pressure situations) & he has an 800 page playbook that will probably confuse the hell out of his offense. I could actually see this experiment working but I can also see it failing miserably...should be interesting IMO
  15. I've already said this but I want Giles to commit here really really bad!!!
  16. IMO we should not offer a kicker this year. We already have a scholarship crunch & some pretty good prospects looking at us. Not enough room for a kicker unless he is just unreal IMO
  17. Alex Henery not being first team All Big XII is a joke
  18. Not for NU, really? Name 5 better. Joe Ganz is a damn good quarterback & an even better leader & I wish we could have him back next year that would be freaking huge. That said...Tommie Frazier, Brook Berringer, Jerry Tagge, Scott Frost, Turner Gill, Vince Ferragamo, Eric Crouch
  19. NVM...it says Illinois State...wasnt reading the article correctly...wow I feel like an idiot...
  20. link Fresno State coach Pat Hill could be the leader for the Washington job. The hot talk is Fresno State's Pat Hill may be the front-runner. He interviewed for the job after Fresno's game at Boise State last Friday, and a decision could be made quickly by Washington officials. Hill has done a lot to make the Bulldogs a strong program despite working with limited resources. Playing a national schedule has raised the program's profile and made it one of the most respected non-"Big Six" schools in the nation. Hill is well-connected in Western recruiting circles and could build a strong staff. It helps that Alabama coach Nick Saban is pushing Hill for the job. Saban was at LSU when the Washington president (Mark Emmert) and athletic director (Scott Woodward) also were in Baton Rouge. School officials have interviewed Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Haywood. It is believed Washington also has interviewed USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, and officials have talked twice with TCU coach Gary Patterson. Others who may get involved are Cincinnati's Brian Kelly, Texas Tech's Mike Leach, Boise State's Chris Petersen, Montana's Bobby Hauck, UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker and Utah's Kyle Whittingham. Syracuse talk heating up Rivals.com reported last week that Illinois offensive coordinator Mike Locksley interviewed for the Syracuse job and that Oregon offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will interview Wednesday. Rivals.com also has learned that Syracuse interviewed Cincinnati Bengals offensive line coach Paul Alexander on Saturday. Maryland offensive coordinator James Franklin and East Carolina coach Skip Holtz also are believed to be main targets, and others believed to be under consideration are Florida assistant head coach/offensive line Steve Addazio, New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Doug Marrone, Philadelphia Eagles offensive assistant Mark Whipple and Buffalo coach Turner Gill. Some also feel Connecticut coach Randy Edsall is in the running despite his public comments that he is not a candidate. Edsall is a Syracuse alum. New Mexico likely wants offensive coach Word is the New Mexico job may go to a minority candidate. In addition, the next coach likely will have an offensive background. TOM'S TOP 13 1. Alabama 2. Florida 3. Oklahoma 4. Texas 5. USC 6. Utah 7. Penn State 8. Ohio State 9. Boise State 10. Texas Tech 11. Oklahoma State 12. TCU 13. Georgia Tech ONE MAN'S WORKING HEISMAN BALLOT 1. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma 2. Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech 3. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida Rivals.com has confirmed that Illinois' Locksley has interviewed for the post. Others who could be on the radar in Albuquerque are Buffalo's Gill, UCLA's DeWayne Walker and Oklahoma State safeties/special teams coach Joe DeForest. Another possibility is Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen. New Mexico A.D. Paul Krebs held the same post at Bowling Green when Mullen was an assistant there under Urban Meyer. In addition, keep an eye on Arizona offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes and Oklahoma State running backs coach Curtis Luper. San Diego State looking for experience Despite the school's checkered football history, San Diego State is viewed by many as a desirable non-"Big Six" job. Having entrusted the job to an unproven commodity in Chuck Long the last time a hire was made, there's a good chance school officials will turn to a veteran, proven head coach with name appeal. Some early names are Florida defensive line coach Dan McCarney, former Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione, former Colorado coach Gary Barnett, former Minnesota coach Glen Mason and former Auburn coach Terry Bowden. Also keep an eye on Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English and UCLA's Walker. The MAC has four openings The MAC is a league to watch with openings at Toledo, Miami, Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan. The Toledo search may come to an end in the next few weeks, perhaps as soon as Dec. 5. The top targets appear to be Arizona defensive coordinator Mark Stoops, Missouri defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, Iowa secondary coach Phil Parker and Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell. Rivals.com has confirmed that Eberflus has interviewed at Toledo. It also is believed that Penn State quarterback coach Jay Paterno will interview at Toledo. Early word at Eastern Michigan is that former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr will be heavily involved in the selection process. The top targets may be Detroit Lions quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler and Iowa wide receiver coach Erik Campbell, who both were assistants under Carr with the Wolverines. Utah State narrowing list It is believed Auburn defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads is a top target at Utah State. Others in the mix are Utah defensive coordinator Gary Andersen, USF wide receivers coach Mike Canales, former Utah State coach John L. Smith and San Jose State linebacker coach Kent Baer. Auburn decision expected soon Tommy Tuberville's staff could have a new look if he returns to Auburn next season. Expect a decision on the future of Auburn's Tommy Tuberville soon. If he returns, he'll have to shake up his offensive staff. Offensive coordinator Tony Franklin was fired during the season. Others who could leave are offensive line coach Hugh Null, tight ends coach Steve Ensminger and receivers coach Greg Knox. Expect the new offensive coordinator to bring one or two assistants with him. Early names being bandied about are Syracuse offensive coordinator Mitch Browning, Washington offensive coordinator Tim Lappano, Memphis offensive coordinator Clay Helton, Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy, Tennessee Tech coach Watson Brown and former Kansas State coach Ron Prince. This and that If Charlie Weis is forced out at Notre Dame, don't be shocked to see the Irish make runs at Cincinnati's Brian Kelly and N.C. State's Tom O'Brien. … Illinois State is a good FCS (i.e., Division I-AA) job. Among the early contenders are former Nebraska defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove and Georgia State offensive coordinator John Bond - a former assistant at Illinois State.
  21. I thought for sure you do this before you pass the test, yes you get a slap on the wrist, but then you and you're school are done with that recruit. So Tennessee is done with Giles then b/c of recruiting violations? Are you 100% sure about that? B/c if so thats freaking huge...I dont see us losing head to head with SCar for Giles. I really hope ur right...
  22. Three years to play two or three full years of eligibility?
  23. I really really really want Giles N. That would be freaking huge.
