  1. This is very true. Keller is a good QB. It's just possible that Ganz is better. I will not disrespect the heart and guts Sam Keller showed in his brief time here.
  2. My condolences go out to you and his family.
  3. Just knock down a twelve pack, and it will all make sense.......
  4. Well, duh. Add K-State and sCUm to the list as well. win or lose, we wont be 4-5 wnen we play them :yeah :bonez
  5. The Husker Flag is out on the pole, wearing Husker Red, getting ready for the game to start. Just like any other Husker Gameday, only difference I'll be working today, so I'll be listening on Sirius. Hoping for a WIN. GBR
  6. I doubt it, there isn't that many games played on the Friday after Thanksgiving, so I think this one is safe. Anyways, they still cover the Iowa-Iowa St. "Suckfest" and the USC-ND "Beatdown" every year.
  7. I'd like to hope so, but if the D plays like it has been doing the last 3 games, this game will get out of hand.
  8. What is their slogan? "All The News That's Fit To Wipe With"
  9. Tex 49 Neb 10 Passing 190 Rushing 80 Texas will be PO'd after losing to Oklahoma. This will be an old fashioned "Stomping a mudhole and walking it dry" game.
  10. Yeah, I have an answer here somewhere....ah, here it is.....uh WHAT??? After reading Spenser's story, I have come to the conclusion, he should stick to the wishbone. I'm sorry I missed that tackle coach, but it wasn't my fault. Nobody hugged me when I was a child. I would have caught that ball coach, but some guy booed me. I missed that coverage because we were poor, and my family couldn't afford to buy me a G.I. Joe with Kung Fu grip for Christmas. Excuse me people, when did football stop being a "men's" sport? Whatever happened to lining up across from the the other guy and ripping his darn head off? In my opinion, this isn't the "y" generation, this is the result of the "P.C." generation. Throughout the 90's we have seen "Political Correctness" forced into schools, fostering a belief that if something doesn't go your way, somehow you are a victim, giving a person an excuse to quit. The belief of not keeping score, because "It will make the kids feel bad if they lose" garbage, plays a large part of this also. "Being gracious to your opponent when you win" as well as "Learning from a loss" are an integral part of sports. It prepares you for life after sports. Bowden states that ten years ago you could ask a player to "Run through a brick wall." Now they ask "Why?" Instead of coddling them, why don't you explain to him that guy listed below him on the depth chart will be more than happy, to get his opportunity, in that player's spot. If that isn't motivation enough, then he doesn't belong in Division 1 football. IMO the "why" players care more about themselves, than the team.
  11. So far, so good. Let's see if the rest comes true.
  12. Vershan Jackson is on every Monday in-studio to talk about Husker football. He pretty much tells it how it was under Osborne and McBride, and how it is different now with this coaching staff. As far as I'm concerned, he's earned his stripes, and if he wants to call out somebody, I don't have a problem with that.
  13. At this point, I wouldn't care if they would bring in Santa Claus and his friggin' reindeer. Anything has to be better than this coaching staff.
  14. Only thing I know is that somebody down at memorial better get off their collective arses, because with these guys decommitting, it won't take long for this to snowball.
  15. Uh oh...looks like someone is peering into bathroom windows... :laughpound
  16. My brother got married Sept. 14, 2002, the day we played Penn St. I was in the wedding party, and with all the stuff that goes on with pictures and such, I was trying to figure out how we could watch the game. I ended up renting a mini bus, and borrowed a satellite from a friend who owns an A/V store, so we could watch the game. Needless to say the bride and bridesmaids weren't too happy with us, but we didn't care. The Huskers were on TV. We lost 40-7, and after that day, we have a rule in our family: No weddings on gameday.
  17. This doesn't mean you're a "Bad Fan". It means you're passionate about your team. You care about the program and where it is headed. We've all been guilty of going ballistic when things don't go the way it should. I do not know what it is about Nebraska Football, but it gets into your blood. It defines what is great about Nebraska. For 5 months out of the year, it's the topic around coffee tables and local watering holes around the state. When the season is all over, we talk about potential recruits coming in, and what changes are going to made in the offseason. We all can't wait for the Red/White game in the spring, to see the new players, and the potential impact they may make on the upcoming season. Everyone counts down the days to the first Husker game with anticipation. "Is this going to be the season?" "Can we win the Big 12?" "Is this team good enough to win it all?" We never know till we play the game. So it will go on and on, long after we are gone. Just as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, Big Red tradition will always go on. So if you ask yourself, "Am I a bad fan?" I say no. You're just human.
  18. I believe it was 1957 under Coach Bill Jennings, back in the old Big 7 days. We went (1-9) and finished 7th in conference play.
  19. Why not? It's a way of rubbing it in Callahan's face. Just like the fake FG by Mizzou. I think it sux, but when teams get the Huskers down, they like to kick sand in their face. When you can do it at Memorial Stadium, nuff said.
  20. Ya know, all they really have to do is prop a broom handle up, throw a Huskers shirt on it and play this recording every week. What the hell is the difference? Here's some audio from news conference. http://podcast.bigsports590.com/DesktopMod...mp;newsid=24459
  21. It is the first time since 1968 that the Huskers have lost three home games in a season. Congratulations are in order for Cal and Coz, for another stellar showing. :asshat
