I agree with this. However, he was good in the I-formation and Flexbone. You could tell he was much more comfortable, and he looked good running. We haven't seen either formation since Ohio St. Will we see it Saturday?

Yeah, but I don't know why we ever got rid of Pelini. At least there were nine great game weeks every season under him.

The key to beating Wisconsin is stopping their offense. Their defense just isn't as good when they are on the field a lot. Their whole game plan is to drive down the field, chew up clock, and score. Then the defense goes out for three to six plays, force a punt, and repeat. Pretty obvious, I know. That being said, I don't see Nebraska's defense being consistent enough to even come close to being able to slow JT and the Badger offense down. I will stress again, I will be super happy if I'm wrong.

Any kind of offense would have led to a conference championship in 2009. That defense was salty and perfect to shut down Big 12 offenses. It was so much fun to watch. It was also fun hearing the announcers continuously say big Suh, because apparently Ndamukong was too hard to pronounce.

Yeah, I think Frost is trying to setup the run game between the tackles and downfield passes. Doesn't seem to have worked all that well. I think having Stanley back one more season - or another WR stepping up other than JD - would make this offense look so much better based on what it seems like Frost wants to do. I wouldn't mind seeing a few lateral passes, and then a few plays later, a fake lateral pass draw. Who knows if it would work though? It sounds good in my head though, and that's all that counts on a message board.

Yeah, the 2009 defense definitely didn't suck. It's unfortunate it was paired with an absolutely horrible offense

Yeah, I think that's the biggest problem with the 3-4. However, it's hard to find great pass rushing ends for the 4-3 too.

This is a lot of the problem I see. Especially at the linebacker position. It seems like the linebackers try to play outside what their assignment is to try and make a play. That's why there are stretches where the defense is decent. It would also help tremendously to find a couple OLBs that can get after the passer. I think this defense would look pretty different with just this addition

I stated when there were five games left, the only other game they would win was against Maryland. It will be close, but I think they do pull it off. I don't see them beating Wisconsin or Iowa. You have no idea how I would love to be wrong though. This team needs the extra practices, especially considering the amount of young players.

Doesn't Walters script the first "x" amount of plays to begin the game? It seems those go very well, but I'm not sure how much experience he has calling plays in the moment. There's a huge difference between the two. In addition, let's not pretend Scott wasn't previously a successful offensive coordinator. That is literally how he got a head coaching gig to begin with. I don't think this just disappears. I just think he tries to be too fancy with the current players he has on the roster.

Huskers could beat Wisconsin. I could win the lottery. Both things have a chance of happening.

I hope the freshman are amazing, or saving them to play was a waste of time. I also think the staff could use the four games rule so much better, but instead it's one or two plays a game. The management of this has been pretty pathetic.

I don't know. I guess my point is that the captains are inconsistent and undisciplined, and the players that "look up to them" are the same. Especially at the LB position
