  1. That's the point. He's the type of CEO that everyone wants to work for, especially as you get closer to retirement. He's going to back his s#!tty staff until the company is ran into the ground.
  2. Listen, I hope the Huskers win out. I really do. At the very least, I hope they make a bowl. Actually, at the very least, I hope they win at least one, because if they lose out, it will be the worst the program has seen since 1961. Statistics are interesting. I'm not saying that ESPN, or whoever they pay to come up with this s#!t, has figured it out. In fact, the only way to prove that is in hindsight. But this "We could find something that works and run with it" is akin to the same bulls#!t that Mike Riley is going to suddenly figure out how to start winning championships. Mike Riley is a CEO, the type you want to work for, but not the type that makes your company elite. He stands behind his guys, no matter how bad they are, no matter how obvious it is to everyone else that they are under performing. And the only time that changes is when his ass in on the line. But then when he has to go out and pick new ones, he can't handle that either. I'm sorry, but Bob Diaco is nothing but a dreamer but instead of being full of hope, he's only full of s#!t.
  3. They're not my predictions. They're ESPNs. I guess maybe you just don't understand statistics and math. Better to just have faith, I guess. Carry on, sir.
  4. 40% chance of beating NW 40% chance of beating MN 3% chance of beating Penn State 35% chance of beating Iowa. Feel free to check my math. EDIT: Also, they're not out of air. They're from ESPN's FPI. Feel free to argue that their numbers are bulls#!t
  5. 6.5% chance of that happening. Won't be easy is an understatement.
  6. Nah. Penn State is above his pay grade. Maybe if they were closer to the bottom of the top 25.
  7. At 4-4, we need to win two to become bowl eligible. And let's not sugar coat it. It's going to be tough. With four games left( Northwestern, Penn State, Minnesota, and Iowa), we're not favored to win two. Record Odds:: 8 - 4: 0.2% 7 - 5: 6% 6 - 6: 28% 5 - 7: 43% 4 - 8: 23% Odds of going at least 6 - 6: 34% Note:The numbers may not add to 100 due to rounding, don't be alarmed, the math checks out . EDIT: Numbers are from ESPNs FPI. Some how I forgot to include this in the original post. My bad. The numbers used were as follows for odds of winning: NW: 40% MN: 40% Penn State: 3% Iowa: 35%
  8. To be honest, he hasn't looked great this year, but he's looking good this game!
  9. It's pronounced like the animal. Not sure what that guy is smoking..
  10. They don't even hurt anymore. Every year, it's just like "Yeah, this guy doesn't have it"... and you just kind of expect him to lose. And in this case, we all knew it.
  11. There was Frost on my yard all week. I can't believe I missed it. Let us all rejoice!
  12. So, everyone hates Nebraska, right? Well... not for a while. I think the majority of people agree that college football is better when Nebraska is relevant ( except for maybe Iowans, but screw those guys...)..
  13. I don't quite understand it. We all knew we were going to get killed this game. Everyone knew it. Sure, we all secretly hoped the team would shock us all, but yeah. What happened is exactly what we all expected to happen.
  14. Not-pelini coach? Nobody compares our coach to pelini. Don't you mean "not osborne" coach?
  15. He's not going to announce that. He's going to get fired and take his retirement severance.
  16. No one ever supports Riley because he is nice. That's just kind of rhetoric for anyone who defends Bo. But I agree, this is sad and Riley needs to go. But I'm not sure that's going to change anything...
  17. Frost won't even have that discussion until the regular season is over. We're just going to have to wait. As much as I'd love Frost to come here, I wouldn't be surprised if he declines. He has a good thing going at UCF, and he could probably do something better somewhere else. I think it's time to accept the reality that Nebraska may never be a top program again. We've lost all our advantages and why coach at Nebraska when you can coach at any school in Texas, California, or the South East?
  18. But the stadium does look full, which is a surprise
  19. I mean, the dude is close to retirement, doubled his salary, and it's guaranteed through the next 3 years. In most professions, that wouldn't be considered a mistake of a career decision. Which brings up a good point. I'm pretty sure our asshat of an AD went with Riley because he was a "bargain".
  20. The $20 nosebleeds and endzone seating aren't as worrisome as the $50 prime seating or the $80-100 club seating.
  21. Scott Frost is smart enough to play to his player's strengths. Our coaching staff does whatever it is they want to do. Eventually, it has to work, right guys?
  22. Definitely a familiar feeling. I remember in 2007, I went to quite a few games for free/cheap because of how easy it was to find tickets. Depending on how bad things get this year, we might see a bunch of season tickets open up next year. Although, the off-season usually generates a ton of hype with signing day and the spring game. The university might notice how cheap the tickets are going for, but they won't feel the pain yet. With that said, an empty stadium versus a quality opponent is definitely going to create a lot of pressure from the top. A blowout this weekend could cause a serious meltdown.
  23. He was talking about the original map I think. I assume he thought that the original territory size was bad, but reddit OP based it off of closest counties to each FBS school.
  24. Hopefully whoever we hire brings some of his Florida athletes with him.
