  1. NO. Lol. Why? Sparty game. The D could predict when we were going to hike the ball. If they can figure it out anyone can. Because of the clapping. It's not hard to figure out that when we "fake clap" we over exaggerate it. Then clap like a normal person to actually snap it. What is more obvious to figure out. Visuals or Audio? I know the answer. Do you? Regular cadence, and be disciplined to hold in. Alex Lewis would probably struggle with that though. I still wonder why i can watch numerous other teams: clap silent count ball comes, next play touch the ground ball comes, clap ball comes right away, clap once then again and ball comes, etc, they mix it up. The O-line moves when they need to, the snap is good the QB is ready...

  3. The vast majority of fans are beyond happy with this game. They dont live on boards and cut up every little thing. Win=Happy... The ones on here, including myself, are the nutters...
  4. Saber Tooth has the combo to destroying Texas more often than not.
  5. WOW... This will be the new arms race. New stadium? meh dime a dozen. Top of the line weight room, training table, sports med... What is this Colorado school of mines? Yeah I want all that, a scolly and up the street just gave me 20k, whats your offer... The "Student Athlete" will be no longer in a few years....
  6. I think Fox is going to help this. I dont agree overall on the size of the issue but I sure would like to see another heavy weight in the game. Fox Sport is the best hope at that, love him or hate him Rupert Murdoch is a media genius, and he is not playing for second place.
  7. I doubt it. NFL ratings are surging every year, most games are sold out or very close (to the point they may remove the black out since they haven't used it in decades) the product on the field is entertaining and highly competitive. Over all the NFL is a quality organization.
  8. Umm, you better check your thinking. Last I looked BTN is 51% owned by Fox Sports.
  9. I think public perception is that Fox/MSNBC viewers are right/left wing nut jobs. Both channels, while slanted to their respective audience, pretty much give you the news of the day. The big disconnect is the "analysis" shows like O'Reily, Maddow etc,
  10. Yeah its stupid, I'm just glad they didn't use gov funds to come up with this... Punditry has gotten so stupid..

  12. So, someone needs to spike the animal crackers and Ensure is what you're saying? HA! Yes that would be a good start. Maybe change out Grandpas heart meds for something a little more festive as well...
  13. Should be OK. A little more subdued, those games usually see a lot of the older crowd, and kids (if it warm). Doesnt mean they cant get the place rocking, just different. Those games feel more old school to me.
  14. Dang you guys are fast...

  16. Use the broiler. If you have the clarified butter just place under a preheated broiler and sear. once seared pull and set oven at 220 (or lower if it'll go) leave in warm oven to finish. Take a thermo pen with you, times do not matter only final temp. EDIT: Season, put on butter, then put under broiler... Just to be clear...
  17. Ah that was the second one... Im down with that
  18. Did he? I'll rewatch, didn't think any Husker made it..

  21. Booze and guns, always smart, maybe a pack of smokes? Seriously though make sure the jumper cables are really heavy duty, thick cables, or you wont get the juice you need to jump a really cold engine.
  22. Good. This was the over signing of the 90's KCH_C "You could also say that 30 years ago most kids were on a plane a handful of times in their life - if ever, flights were expensive as heck, and leaving your home town was something that occurred rarely. No kids are jetting all over the nation for a couple hundred bucks multiple times a year. So the shift, the distance - to me is less relevant today than it was 30 years ago." I agree, getting around is not that hard anymore. My office is in Houston, I talk a lot of CFB down there, one of our clients engineers is a Husker fan. I asked how that could be since he went to HS and college all in Texas. He told me NU coaches would come down to there summer HS practices and teach Defense. He said it had a profound effect on him, to the level that he would of been recruited to NU he would came. we can make inroads to the South if we put the effort and time into it. It will be slow, once they grab that first guy that makes a difference, those roads would open.
  23. This is the Big12 you're talking about here. And our defenses have given up 60+ more than once and people still advocate for JP to keep his job. 61 points is 61 points. At what point do you advocate a change, 100 points? Come on. You dont sit your #1's when your are losing control of a game. Those are your best players out there, and frankly we dont not know the ability of their #2's. I could see on or two guys if their head was out of the game, but the entire D is crazy. In the wider scope of this, twenty years ago the norm was sitting the starters once a game was in hand, and play the backups, the thought being getting touches in a game environment was good for them and they would be better prepared when they finally became the starters. This is not the practice now, the current thought is getting touches to your #1's is the most important thing.
