  1. More talented than Turner? Meh, we'll see there. He is definitely talented but Turner could be a great one for us...
  2. I saw a friend of mine thats originally from Ohio post a link to that on facebook.. I was laughin pretty hard.. I think Coqui posted it in a thread somewhere though. None the less, hilarious.
  3. I'm pretty sure we never find out. I'm also pretty sure that Miller is the one that turned the ball over giving us the original spark. Good thing we won the game and we don't have to worry about what if.
  4. Exactly this. He's too stubborn to use a spy. I remember him saying "no, we don't do that, we're just going to run our defense" when asked if we were going to put a spy on Tyrod Taylor. It may have worked that time, but it's exactly why Denard Robinson is going to run all over us. Because he's guaranteed to run all over us. I'm glad that you know that already. If Robinson is healthy, we play defense the way we have been, and we refuse to spy him, then yeah it's about as close to a gaurantee you're going to get in sports. Well while you're gazing into your crystal ball of college football, mind telling me who's going to win the heisman and the national title? I'd like to make some money on it.
  5. Whoa.. I'm pretty sure I saw this guy after the game last night.. Walking at the intersection between Avery and Hamilton.. He was talking to a couple of Husker fans that thanked him for coming and said that he loved it and that we were a class act.. Only pretty sure it was him because the back of his jersey said Big Nut and I was wondering if that was an individual thing or something a lot of OSU fans wore.. Makes sense now.

Miller ran all over our 'contain' last night. If you can't contain the QB using your 'contain' scheme then you might as well bring some heat because the result will be the same (scramble for big yards), but you have the added bonus of a possible sack/int. Maybe I'm not seeing it right or missing part of the point, but I thought by his 'contain' he wanted to 'contain' the QB in the pocket. Miller burned us up the middle when he had no one to throw to. Yes, he got outside a few times, but not always.
  8. While last year at A&M looked bad, it's not like it wasn't justified... And since the "incident" over the past summer it seems as if TO may have done something to help settle Bo down a bit. His sideline demeanor has been saintly this year compared to last.
  9. You can't give teams like Wisconsin and Ohio State short fields. The interception was not Taylor's fault at all, that was a very, very poor play call. And yes you limp into halftime. You take that chance away from their offense and you don't put that responsibility on your defense. And if they limp into half time you have to deal with the other half of people mad because they didn't try to get into field goal range. It's impossible to please everyone. Personally I'd rather see them take the shot and try to score. There is no way that the D should have let OSU get into field goal position with that much time left on the field.
  10. If Persa is healthy or even just playing, he could eat this D apart. As far as the rest I'd agree for the most part.. But I'm guessing they mean Mich, Mich St, Penn St, and Iowa..
  11. Agreed. One thing I wanted to talk about.. Obviously Taylor played a great game and made some awesome plays. I was at the game and admittedly can't see everything he is doing, but one thing really stuck out for some reason. At the end of the 1st half when we were driving in OSU territory, Taylor had a play where it looked like it all came together. He sat in the pocket, checked multiple receivers, felt the pressure coming and then took off running. He didn't get the happy feet that we saw too often last week. Was there more of this happening the entire game or was that a one time thing? I was just really impressed with that one play (ended at 3:30 left in the 1st half) specifically.
  12. I have the teams back but its obvious Bo could give two sh#ts about the fan base! Maybe because if we don't play a perfect game, every negative fan in Nebraska pisses on his leg.... Orrr...when the team does play a perfect game, the kool-aid drinkers like to point and shout "IN YO FACE!! I'M A TRUE HUSKER FAN AND YOU'RE NOT!" It's the same ole freaking song and dance. Some fans are more/less critical than others. But when other fans start calling out other fans, it's get old real quick. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to say here but..... You seem to be talking about fans bashing fans where as Shark seems to be talking about fans bashing Bo.... Both your points are right on there, but I don't get where you're pulling that one from unless it's your own personal bag of frustration...
  13. I'm glad you went there so I didn't have to
  14. Glad to hear Curenski is handling it really well. He's setting a true example for the rest of the team and hopefully one that gets followed by the younger kids. Good for him and I wish him the best in the future outside of football. With a work ethic like he seems to have it's hard to think that he wont be successful somewhere.
  15. i would like to let everyone know that i love them and that no matter what happens on this board you are all the f'ing shitss.. go big red.. kick som ass
  16. Oh gawd...always the Debbie Downer spinning things in the worst possible way. Isn't it time to re-new your National Inquirer subscription? How is that being a Debbie Downer? A team player, any team player, sticks up for their own and protects the locker room, no matter what. So, yes, Kenny may be sticking up for Taylor but he's also sticking up for his QB1. It doesn't matter who that guy is, his teammates should be rallying around him. Uhhh zoogies......he's saying he's doing it to get more passes thrown to him. No he isn't. He's saying maybe that would be a benefit of it, but he said that he's doing it because Taylor is QB1. Zoogies is right there.
  17. You'd have to have seen the context in which he's been shredded by the press and fans around here to have a better understanding of why he answered those questions the way he did. He wasn't joking when he said it didn't matter how he answered the questions, he'd still get ripped for it. Understatement of the year. The haters are in a frenzy and are ready, able and "very", very willing to rip apart anything he says. Just like how you ripped apart Zac Lee? Kinda like that....or.... Oh, please don't bring out facts.. Haven't you read this board lately? We don't put much into facts. I was all over supporting Lee, but i was told quite often how dumb that was. Now, I'm sure if I sit here and support Martinez (which I do) I will get told how dumb that is. It's really ridiculous and makes this place unreadable a lot of the time.
  18. Thank you. +1 People try to blame this all on Tmart simply because he isn't a pocket passer. I would love to have seen Frost or Crouch execute the play calls that took place from the middle of the second quarter into the third quarter last night. As it's been stated a few times, Taylor looks good when we are balanced and using play action. He looks terrible when we have 4 wide and they drop everyone into coverage. That isn't who he is and we can't force it. That's what Cally did... If we use play calling like we did in the 1st quarter, we would have been able to move the ball much better than we did.
  19. As far as the holding calls, or lack there of, go, reputation does play a big part in things.. They have the reputation of having a really good and physical offensive line. It's going to get a couple of those "could be holding, but may not be" calls to go their way. It's no different than certain players at the next level getting calls that other players wouldn't. I'm pretty sure everyone here agrees that the refs have 0 to do with why we lost the game, but that doesn't mean it was a clean called game. The punch by Ball to Fisher was absolutely uncalled for. I don't care if Fisher would of tackled Ball after he walked in standing up. A punch being thrown has 0 place in football. Period. It should have been flagged.
  20. Lol @ Fat Kid waving his shirt around during the A&M/Arkansas Game

    1. Danny Bateman

      Danny Bateman

They should've kept that crap off the telly.

  21. The same Tevin Mitchell who just recovered that "fumble" that went straight into his hands...
  22. I wanted to puke at that one. Can't stand that annoying voice
  23. RG III.... LSU... and while not off the top of my head at 245 am, i have to think i can find someone better than turner at that flex...
  24. Why i don't gamble against or for my own teams... However Wisconsin -15 at Northern Illinois 2 weeks ago and LSU -7 @ WVU this past week were pretty obvious money makers....
