How about something original and exciting : T-MAGIC !!

Not in my wheelhouse, but can anyone figure a way to look at the predictions for all of Pelini's teams at the start of the year, and where they actually finished ? It would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison of SI, ESPN, etc. It does seem absurd that the SI guys are like night and day on their predictions. I never get too concerned about pre-season predictions because there are too many intangibles throughout the year one can not predict, or even anticipate. Let the season play out. I'll get riled in November when the Huskers are 8-0 or 7-1 and stil not in the big picture discussion. Let's see how they get there first.

This is all so B-O-G-U-S !! Not our "preseason" ranking, but that there is a "preseason" ranking AT ALL !!! Why can't we get this right and start with rankings NO SOONER THAN October 1. Let some of the season play out before arbitrarily giving out false points. Or better yet, if the coaches and media want to rank so early, let's rank 1-64 and then seed everyone as of week one and start the tournament. The remaining teams 65-96 can then get on with their schedules. Of course, someone will be butt hurt and want a play in series for teams 65-70 or something like that. How about eight, 12-team power conferences, resulting in eight outright champions to form the play off bracket. All the bowls stay intact because the 2nd-6th place teams can still qualify for the post-season, and we get ourselves a real national champion, not a mythical one. It all sounds so simple. (Oh, and for the remaining 32 D-1 schools, or whatever they call it anymore) let them start their own new division again.

Which is all the more reason to have Whisky as our opponent on Black Friday. It brings back the real feel of the original Black Friday games with the Sooners.

Damn you !! I've spent the better part of 3 1/2 years trying to purge the image of that game out of my head, and now you have to bring it back up. I've never entered Memorial Stadium more confident, spent the next 3 hrs. laughing my arse off, and then walking in a stupor to my car trying to figure out what had just happened. Oh, wait, there was that one night during my sophmore year in college .............. but that's beside the point. That game was the unravelling of everything Husker History had built.

Me too. But actually, as was noticed yesterday, and if you watch "The Dude's" GIF, Brady is specifically looking at the Ravens player's knee as he extends his. It seriously looks as if he is trying to intentionally take a shot at injuring someone, not just protecting himself. The Ravens player is clearly letting up the second Brady starts to slide. Too bad the Ravens player wasn't Ray Lewis and Brady had actually succeeded at that point.

May I also point out the Dr. Tom took over the husker program as a "1st Time" head coach. This is just a weird post.

It may be tougher than you speculate, but I agree in the end NU should win this game handily. NU 31 - UW 13.

I remember an Ia St game in '96 or '97 the wind chill was said to be -40 or more. I thought that was cold until the absolutely miserable day last week in Iowa City.

You are correct. Shut this guy down and they are toast. NU must, REPEAT, MUST make this a statement game and win astoundingly. Nothing short of a beat down will suffice.
