  1. I take Paul Johnson off of my list. I like the offense Navy runs but the defense is horrible!!! They gave up 59 to Deleware, that just doesn't cut it for me.
  2. I think that you have some points there, but he had his chance. I have been wanting Cosgrove gone after the first 2 years and he won't get rid of them because they are best buds. We need to get rid of both and start over. Just like Oklahoma we are going through a BAD time, and hopefully Osborne can hire our Bob Stoops.
  3. Lawrence Phillips is not my favorite as a person, but I think he may have been the most talented of all time. He was a BEAST and if he didn't have the personal issues could have had a great pro career.
  4. you are right about farley. i was very surprised he never had a pro career. agreed, Farley was a hybrid!!! he was amazingly fast for his position, and in the 95 season had some awesome interceptions and returns for TDs
  5. To bad you were'nt around when Dave Remington was playing. That guy was a great center and a few time was penalized for false starts because he was so fast off the line. Nebraska used to have All Americans playing for the offensive line now they can't even block. Dave Rimmington was awesome!!! Yes he was before my time, but my dad is a long time husker fan and i have seen many old tapes of him. I was always amazed at the speed he came off the line with, he was not afraid to fly off the line low and lay a hit on anyone in his path. Great o-lineman have played here, but now the o-lineman just don't have them same nastiness as they did in the past.
  6. Lots of great players, but i have been an O-lineman for 12 years now and I am a center so I have to show some love for Dominic Raiola #54, I have worn his number in high school and still wear today as a sophomore at a DII school. Another number 54, Aaron Graham, is right up there with him. If it weren't for those guys there wouldn't have been as much love for Tommie Frasier and Eric Crouch.
  7. 1.Bo Pelini 2.Turner Gill 3.Paul Johnson 4.Kevin Steele That is my shortlist. What I would love to see the most would be Bo Pelini as HC and Turner Gill as OC/QB's coach, but that is only a dream that won't come true.
  8. I agree that Turner Gill should get strong consideration for the next coach at Nebraska. SeedGuy hit the nail on the head. Turner is a legend as a player and knows how to win. He was a part of the best teams in Nebraska history when he coached and could bring the program back to the top. If it is not him, my next choice would be Bo Pelini though. GO HUSKERS!!!!
  9. I agree if we are going to bring back the option need to have a similar offense to West Virginia and Florida. They run the spread option with a lot of zone read stuff. That will work great as long as we have a good athletic QB, that can make smart decisions.
  10. I am currently playing football for a division 2 school, but am still a huge husker fan! Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch a game all year, and I honestly can't say I am that disappointed. From what I have heard, read, and the little bit I have seen it is very depressing. I remember watching the Nebraska-Colorado 62-36 game with my whole family and my dad and I were the only ones to watch the entire game. It was very PAINFUL and I don't know what I would do this year if I had to endure these embarrassing loses. But, TO is back and hopefully our depression will end very soon and the Huskers can be back on top again!!!
  11. I sense a little sarcasm in that comment!
  12. My cousin got married last year on the opening day of college football!! That is just not right. My uncle, his dad, told the family that was attending he would not be offended if they wore a headset and listened to the husker game during the ceremony. It is a crime to get married on game day, that is a sacred day no matter how the Huskers are doing.

  14. yes, when Les Miles goes back and watches the tape he will be very surprised at how little time was left. He cut it way too close and it was a very bold call, but more power to him, LSU got the win.
  15. another blowout, and Callahan still will not take any blame! He just keeps on sugar coating everything and not owning up to his mistakes!!! Changes need to be made as soon as possible!!!
