  1. There are a couple public lots but fill up very early, but if you get there early and park you can walk to the Hay Market and drink/eat, come back to your car later and tailgate before the game. If you can try to find a parking pass for a lot near the stadium on ebay or somewhere else. Will cost a little more but will make it easier for you, therefore you will enjoy it more especially coming from that far away. Here's a parking map around the Stadium. Truly the best thing for you to do if you don't wanna buy a parking lot pass is to park downtown in a parking garage or what I'd do is just figure on tailgating and park in the lots over by Hay Market Park(Baseball Field) and walk over the pedestrian bridge to get to the game. I've been over there before and it's alot of fun. You can also get to Hay Market and Downtown from there, just further walk. 2. I love Lincoln, lived there for 7 years and learned how to get around. But, the publice transportation is complete sh!t. You can try to call a taxi, but don't expect them for like an hour, no buses at night, nothing. Everyone wonders why there are so many DUI's in Lincoln, it's because the public trans and taxi companies are sh!t. Best is try to find a hotel close so you can walk(may be worth a little extra money), find a sober person who will pick you up, or if you are staying away from downtown, some hotels will send a shuttle to pick you up(not many of these). Besides that have a great time! However, don't drive down to the stadium and try to get in a parking lot thinking you will be able to, because most lots you need a pass. 3. One would think a medical professional would know it's HIPAA, not "HIPPA." It stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Aside from that I agree that it's likely not illegal for this discussion. It may not be the most moral thing to do, but then again, if Burkes himself came out with the info it is no longer protected in any way by HIPAA. HIPPA, HIPAA, whatever. I deal with so many abbreviations and acronyms every day I had made the dreaded two P's instead of two A's mistake. Let's try these abbreviations/acronyms, ASA, apap, po, prn, HCTZ, WPS, DMEPOS, qd, bid, qid, tid, qpm, qhs, etc, etc. I just wanted to let people know that telling people about someone else's medical problem that came from the horse's mouth isn't in violation of the person's medical privacy necessarily.

  5. Just an FYI for everyone, Jaivorio's problems are NOT heart related. And even if they were, you shouldn't be posting about medical problems on an open forum. If/When Jaivorio and his family want to tell the public, they will. Even though medical issues seem to be taboo to the public now, unless you are his physician or are bound by HIPPA to him, then it's not illegal. If you want to say you don't like it then so be it, but otherwise there's really nothing wrong with it especially when it's just rumor. All Right someone Pulling out the actual HIPPA Law instead of having a "emotional Assumption" of law, otherwise known as diarrea of the mouth. Man that kind of thinking bothers me it just like "why read a THOUSAND PAGE legistlative bill"? I mean its only 12 trillion dollars, we have plenty of trees to print paper still! Get your facts straight! Oh so its ok to spread rumors as long as it is not medically related? that is Stupid! What kind moral turpitude is that? Then everyone talking about what they heard concerning Michael Jacko would be sued. Man common sense is hard to buy these days. I guess then the STAR and Enquirer should just be shut down. THE GUY SAID HE WENT UP TO HIM AND ASKED AND HE TOLD HIM!!!!! I CAN SEE IF HE SAID KEEP IT ON THE DOWNLOW BUT HE DIDN'T!!! WHAT KIND OF BOX ARE PEOPLE LIVING IN? I think am going to pull a G. Beck! LOL JrzRhIiLQ08 I pulled out the HIPAA thing to show that if the guy who asked him got an answer and JB didn't say to keep it under wraps, that the guy did nothing wrong. HIPAA is for medical/employer/insurance/contract entities and doesn't apply to public knowledge. You may want to get your facts straight. I am a medical professional and have had to pass HIPPA tests, so if you are more of a expert in the area than I am, then I will just bow down to you and believe anything and everything you say. I never said it's not OK to spread rumors if it's medically related, I just said if you aren't his physician/medcial staff and not connected to him that way that there really isn't anything illegal about it. I think you need to go back and reread my original post, because you are actually agreeing with me although you seem to think we are on opposite ends of the debate.

  7. I'd say for a player who is expected to get drafted(mostly first day guys), it would be dumb to not get insured! I mean if something horrible happens and you can't play in the NFL you will be covered for earning what you could have made which will make things easier, and if you do get drafted the money you sign for will be plenty to make up for the payments you had to make for insurance. It's really a no brainer if your an early round guy IMHO.(especially if this is your last year in college)
  8. Like the attitude he has. Could've easily gotten offended at not getting an offer but instead is using the disappointment as motivation. I think he should use the disappointment to verbal to the Huskers and sign the dotted line during the early signing period. Oh wait, there is no early signing period. That sucks and should be changed IMO.
  9. I eat AT LEAST one of each at every football game. And this is after tailgating. Ya, football season is not a time for weight loss for me.
  10. Where is this coming from? 1. This is a message board where fans come and voice thier opinion. If you don't like the particular tone of a thread then don't post in it and/or ignore what's said. 2. Since CG was a Nebraska football player that automatically makes everything he does fodder for public discussion 3. What relevance do your comments have with regards to this thread? Nobody here in this thread has mentioned what happened previously with CG. In fact everybody here has congratulated Cody and wants to see him succeed and wishes him nothing but the best. In summary, I suggest it is you who needs to "back off." Will never back off. read my previous post. It was in reference to last year's accusations of this young man. I should have made it more clear. But fans who don't know squat spewing crap about a situation they know little about, is stupid. So I was right then, it was Stat. rape. Thank God it finally came out. Villification, villification!!
  11. Sorry. I must have missed it. Mods can you merge or delete? Edit: I looked and still didn't see the previous thread. sorry guy, you're right... I must've seen it on huskerpedia didn't mean to jack your thread Here it is, posted June 18, 2009 by caveman99 under heading "New Huskers Fan needing Indoctrination...." A poster on here has a good site to look into: http://sites.google.com/site/nebraskafootballhistory/Also here is a new site that Bo had put up. Just use Guest as the username and password. A lot of cool videos and information in there. http://ath-cybersports.unl.edu/nebraskafb/login.cfmThere are also a couple of vids that are great, but I can't find them right now.
  12. you can teach technique, you either have a motor or you don't. I agree that some people have more drive than others, but everyone can have a motor. Having a motor and going balls to the wall is a state of mind, not a physical hurdle. It's all about the try. I remember when Jay Moore got alot better his senior year and he was asked what he thought helped him. He said he didn't just go through the motions in practice anymore. He put everything he had into practice just like he would in a game. That's a mental hurdle, not a physical. Physical attributes are hard to change, mental ones are not as much. Just goes to show how the old saying is right, you play like you practice.
  13. I think that quote was messed up. I have a feeling he probably said, "We practice technique over and over, so when you get into games don't over analyze and think about technique, because if you do you will be slow and get beat. You practice technique during practice, when live scrimmaging/games are going on, the O Lineman needs to react to the guy he's blocking, and the technique should come out when blocking him because it will just be second nature." Basically, repetitive actions become habits. You don't think about them, you just do your job and your body uses it's habits.
  14. Front page of Scout says Nebraska has received Kenny's transcripts. So, I guess we will soon know if his grades/classes are up to par. I think if he has the academics and classes to qualify he will be N.
  15. Mobile breathalyzers that cops use out on the stop give the cop a good estimation if a person is "drunk" or not. They are not admissable in court. Then there is a non-mobile unit that is a much bigger machine and much more accurate. I am not sure if this one is admissable in court. But blood is the determining factor. I've never heard of anyone getting a DUI without giving blood. Maybe it's happened but I know of nobody that has gotten a DUI and didn't get blood taken.
  16. I would love to see him tell Scout and Rivals how he's not leaning towards any school right now but he is really interested in USC, Texas, and Florida. Then he just keeps pulling them along and they keep jacking up his ranking, and then bam, he commits to Nebraska. That'd show em.
  17. So what exactly is my dirty laundry?? Do you know me? Am I married, been married, or divorced? I was just stating a fact, and if anyone is air laundry it's you telling him marriage is great. It's different for everyone who gets married. I agree, telling him to not get married isn't right either, I should have said that before and I never told him to not get married. I guess we all just need to wish him luck and make the best of it, if it works then great, if it doesn't then it's fine too. I just felt like you were downgrading guys who got divorced making like marriage is easy, that's all. Peace. And back to topic, I actually may be able to get some tickets, not sure what the price will be, but if I find some I will ask the price and get back to you.
  18. Because you're still married, and I'm sure many on this board have been married and divorced. Stats say 50% of guys will that got married will say it isn't that bad, and the other 50% will not be too enthused about it. And as for a bachelor party idea, golf and strippers, nothing more and nothing less.
  19. Well if Qvale is actually that good at bball(competition might be lacking in ND), he will be a stud because it means he has great feet. Footwork is the most important aspect to being a great OL.
  20. Actually we do only have 4 "AP" National championships and we have only 4 "UPI(coaches)" National Championships. 1970 Neb (AP) Texas (UPI) 1971 Neb 1994 Neb 1995 Neb 1997 Neb(UPI) Michigan(AP) http://www.collegefootballpoll.com/champions_national.html
  21. I'll keep waiting. Tara Mueller please, please god, please!!!!
  22. I just put the story up. I put no credence in what donahoe or jordan are saying. I just thought it was news worthy to put on here. As far as I'm concerned when you are a scholarship athlete especially you are representing your school in everything you do. Porn is just not looked upon favorably in todays society, especially in a conservative state. Is Porn any worse than MIP, DUI, assaults? Every person has their own views, but I do feel alcohol related things are looked upon as more acceptable than Porn in society, right or wrong I don't know.
  23. I know this doesn't go here, but interesting and wanted people to see it. They do talk about the football program, be it in not a very flattering way. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/otl/news/story?id=4242983
