  1. Derrie Nelson or Rod Horn - driver Ahman Green Irving Fryar Curt Tomasevicz - brakeman (who else?) :snacks:
  2. Really? With Nebraski right in Ashland I'm surprised we never had even a bronze in the downhill!
  3. I know what you mean. Nothing against the guy it just seems like he's always the one that gets burned bad. What was it the oklahoma game last year when Dennard got hurt and wouldn't come out, I was praying that he would stay in just because I thought we had a better shot with one of his arms than both of West's. He's got a lot of potential, I think Carl said it best he just needs to be a finisher. he scares me very much as well. Corner is one of those positions that if you have the athleticism West does possess-but youre unsure of yourself or hesistant- creates the perfect storm for biblical screw-ups. You get to the wrong place twice as fast. That doesnt work out well when youre alone most the time. Gotta be all in back there, or youre going to get...un-covered.... Ugh! I was done with West when he let Coale get outside of him late in the VT game, hanging O'Hanlon out to dry trying to cover two people. Is that really what happened?
  4. lol... whats wrong with you people? What do you mean, what is wrong? Those shoes should come with canes. I'd only wear them with a Dr's prescription. :cowbell:
  5. I can't believe more of their games haven't been picked up. Glad to hear they will be on again. Yeah, such great news you'd think they'd even have put the day the game will be played in the announcement. :koolaid2:
  6. Those are totally fake, or at least should be. I'd rather have Adidas Superstars with Run DMC on 'em.
  7. My memory has definitely proven fuzzy when it comes to details, but in the commercial it was Mike Knox, the problem is he was a freshman in '81 and the game in question predates his enrollment. Not a big deal for a bar story, but a commercial.....
  8. Sounds like they did kick that plates ass. "Dude, I totally smashed that effin plate!" (High fives all around) "Yeah, like that plate is Nebraska next year." Tyler will look back at his years at MU, and this night will be one of the highlights.
  9. Two points. Has a 16 needs an 18. Braylon Heard = Next Rodney Stewart x 10 I hope he's devising some strategerie for that ACT. Raising your score 2 pts ain't easy. Braylon, go with your first instinct on those questions. Btw, this OWH article, with all its praise of this "elite" Ohio RB, further confirms he has not yet passed the ACT grade. Really? I'd think going from a 16 to an 18 would be absolutely no problem. In fact . . . I'm confused about how someone can get a 16 in the first place. Mathematically if you pick letters randomly you'll get about an 11. Now if he was trying to go from a 33 to a 35 I'd be concerned. Maybe this will shed some light. When being interviewed after a game the reporter said "Number 5 had a big game tonight, tell us about it." Braylon looked down at the front of his jersey and said "it's a 2." Going from 16 to 18 won't be an issue. "Braylon, this is Sanjeet, now stay out of public view for the next 4 hours. Don't text anyone or make any calls."
  10. If you don't like the topic, don't open it. This may not be the best thread ever, but it is not the worst. The guy coached here and is part of Nebraska football history whether you like him or not. To suggest someone quit posting altogether is a bit much and should be against board rules if it isn't already. Anyway, the fake punt against Auburn wasn't even BC's worst fake punt call. The one against USC that actually worked was. If he had no plans to try and even win the game, what's the point of trickery?
  11. Lost by 40. Not bad! I had 'em to lose by 42.
  12. You don't think that the pull CU already has with west coast athletes would just intensify if they were in the Pac 10? It can't help CU to have to convince a kid from San Diego or LA to come to Boulder to travel to places like Ames, Lincoln, Manhatten or Lawrence. If they were in the Pac-10 I'd imagine they could sign 15 good California players a year. I could be wrong.
  13. No. Stay here instead. Welcome to HB!
  14. You got that right. In Bo's first two seasons we're 4-4 in the month of October. That mid-year slump is what is stopping us from moving up to the next level (Big XII Champs, BCS Bowls, etc). As soon as we figure that out, the sky is the limit I think. You can call it a midyear slump. I call it "we're actually playing real football teams now, not the Sunbelt, and we can't move the ball, something's got to change." If we go into the year with what will move the ball on tough defenses, we might avoid October blues.
  15. That would be a switch! I wouldn't mind this move actually. More chance of me going to live games this way. A careful analysis of how this would affect recruiting would need to be done. I think TX might dry up, as who would want to go to Lincoln to play games on the west coast? Just cut out the middle man and sign with SC or UCLA etc. We might pick up more Californians, but enough to make it work? Would enough top midwest players find it interesting to only be a few states or less away from home, yet play in the Pac10? That is what would make or break the deal IMO.
  16. I'm surprised UT has yet to tell anyone that they will be playing for them next year. :star :star
  17. This does have a lot to do with it. I was going to say something similar. They also may be going to a place they've not spent much time in before, so it is like a vacation (non-conference games anyway). But, just showing up in huge numbers and out-supporting the opponent, as crazy as it sounds, is part of the motivation. Why else would people parade around the other teams city - two days before the game - in those god-awful red outfits.
  18. The more I watch the kid's vid, I hope they plan on seeing how he fields punts. Catching them is my only concern as he runs really, really hard in one direction and that is toward the end zone and he breaks tackles along the way.
  19. Nothing like a big pair of B's. This class reminds me of the classes we used to get before SP/BC. Great runner at qb, star running back and no big-time wr's. Just missing a fullback or it would be 1992 all over again.
  20. I'm pretty sure the networks are behind these announcements. It's like anything else, some people like the notoriety some don't. Since you don't see the ones who said "no, I'll just call the coach when I make my decision," we don't hear about it, but I'm sure some of the kids turn down the televised hat dance. I'm sure it only adds to the importance some of these kids already feel too much of, and makes them feel like they have got it made. IMO it can hurt the kids chance of success if they are prone to letting things go to their head.
  21. 21 + an NU snuggie. Of the signatures we lost today, I'd have to rank OWA #2. Typ3kal, yours is #1. As for the two team thing. Some personality types are characterized by a ton of loyalty, others not so much.
  22. i'd feel better losing to Oregon State. I don't trust that it came down to our school vs their school. I hope all of UCLA's recruiting was on the up and up. How you can send your son to Ricky as a role model over Bo...........
  23. Only 47 more pages to go to catch OWA!
