Loved that Crouch run, I was there and the place went nuts. The win and run made the drive back to Nebraska much easier... As for leaving the Big 12, it is bittersweet for me, but i can not wait to play in our new conference. The Big 12 has turned into a runaway train and it ain't gonna come back. I would give it 4 years max. I feel bad for KState, Iowa St, KS a little bit, but they were not too fond of our success and didn't exactly c eye to eye with Coach Osborne when he discussed the problems the league would have when they decided to centralize control in Texas.

I saw Dan and Milt at the Mizz game, they were tailgating next to us. Dan didn't look as well as i have seen and talked to him in the past. I wish him the very best.

The song we use now i is the same one used for years at Husker basketball. It doesn't conjure up good memories (from basketball). UNL probably doesn't have the cash, after the Billy C and Pedey buyout, to pay the royalties on another song. Maybe next year.

The Big 10 has produced 3 national championship teams in 29 years. We have fared well against Big 10 teams in our bowl games 3-1 during that same period. I realize we are in a different era, but the size difference does not scare me as much as the schedule that lies ahead. Bo and company will adapt, but I do not anticipate that we get away from speed and strength vs bigger guys. I may be completely wrong and that's why I do most of my coaching from the armchair and after the games. i look like a genius.

Pitt would probably smash South Dakota State- let's take care of business first. Any BCS would be great for our program. I want Big 12 crown first- right next to that bell would be a good place.

I am shocked. Didn't think we would give up that slot on Friday. It had become a great Thanksgiving tradition for us... The women go shopping and we travel to the game. Now I probably will be expected to wake up at 4:00 A.M. and drive the car for the door busters.
