Before you get too excited... Miles (from Google Maps): Lincoln to Dallas: 640 Miles Lincoln to Indy: 641 Miles Austin to Dallas: 199 Miles Columbus to Indy: 176 Miles Just saying.... Big difference though, even though mileage is comparable. With the BiG, Indy & Chicago are roughly in the middle of the conference map. East & West meet in the middle, you couldn't say that about the Texas 12.

I actually like the 2nd one, mainly from the standpoint of the showboating that occurs before the crossing of the goal line. Taking off the points should stop that. There won't be any high stepping, diving from the 2 or 3 yard line when no one is around, running parallel to the goal line from one side of the field to the other to get more camera time. The bad thing about this, is it's another judgement call for the refs to make, and we've seen how the judgement varies from conference to conference. I guarantee you'll see people do the exact same thing in two different games, one will be called for it, one will get away with it and we'll have the same controversy as the "leading with the head" BS we had last year.

I think a lot of college towns are out for college kids in general. Not for athletes in particular. That's what I thought when I was a UNL student. A few years later I lived in a different college town. The police pulled me over a couple of times when I first moved there for very minor, questionable infractions--I suspect due to my out-of-state license plates. Both times they let me go with a verbal warning when they found out I wasn't a student. Could be just sheer number of opportunities. Athletes I've been around while in college tended to push the envelope a lot farther and try to get away with things only to try and fall back on the "Don't you know who I am" card.

Our offense this year is much like an American League Baseball team, we wait and wait and wait for the home run. While Martinez and Helu were healthy, we had that threat, without the home run threat, we became a 3 & out offense.

Apparently, Watson was more concerned with interviewing elsewhere than putting together a game plan for the Bowl Game. Embarrassing all around, not one bright spot in this game. Unprepared, undisciplined, unmotivated. I'm sick.

Of course, if they would have kicked the field goal on the previous series instead of trying a fake, the penalty would be a moot point as they would have taken the penalty on the kickoff to get better field position. When Martinez or Helu are breaking off 60+ yard TD runs, they make Watson look like a genius. The rest of the time it's like the coach in Waterboy, "Offense for Dummies". After OU figured out our 5 plays, it was over. These guys deserve better. Out D has gone from the sh**house to the Penthouse in 1 1/2 years, and our Offense kills us yet again. Leave Watson in Dallas.

nope. they only trophies there were the war drum and the lamar hunt border war something or other. i think they mailed out all the co-winners to the schools. 5 division winners this year, nearly as many as non winners. LOL This smells of grade school, everybody gets a ribbon for participation!

I'm sick of hearing "Bailey is OSU's all time leading scorer" blah blah blah With Henery's next point, he'll be NU's all time leading scorer, and the bar is much higher at NU than it is at OSU. I don't think you caught my sarcasm. I'm not shocked at all that it happened. I read you loud and clear. Bailey's accuracy, I guess, goes out the window because he's leading the nation in scoring? If he had Henery's accuracy, he'd be a lot farther ahead!

If you seen footage of the Cal D-Lineman's "injury", you'd give him an Epic Fail. He threw himself down on the ground feigning injury worse than a 2 year old does when he/she is throwing a temper So it's right up there with a soccer injury? haha Good call, but it's actually worse.
