looks like i am going to have to live with nu in the big 10,,,,but wanted them badly in the pac 10...i live in phoenix, so you can see my logic.....i don,t make the decisions, so thoughts don,t mean much...looks like texas am and texas might be another adition to the big 10....making it 14 teams... i like to post with spelling errors...lazy

i would have loved to see nebraska in the pac 10, ,,,but its geographical position makes it tough..., i live in arziona, huskerfan, and would i have been excited to see nu play arizona state every other year...there are a ton of nebraska fans out here...... looks like texas and texas am have interet in big 10...that does not come as a huge surprise, but it did surprise me a bit when i read it today.

as much as i would like to see nu beat texas, i doubt it will happen....they out-recruit us..though the 2011 class is shaping up nicely

thats funny.......its too bad NEBRASKA is not going west with the texas school...i would have loved to see nu in the pac 10

nebraska is going to the big 10...if they were not, it would have been anounced by now...i would bet my paycheck on it...i want to see nu go to the pac 10,,but will not happen...darn.... unless some big 12 schools from texas are added to big 10, which i doubt,,,and yes,,it will influence texas recruiting...nu will be have new recruiting grounds,,,,bank on it. but texas will not be totally lost,,all those recruits cannot just go to texas schools..too many....it will have some effect on recruiting...but its looking like nu is starting to get kids from all over the nation in 2011 class.

i just hope nebraska can beat teams like iowa state this year,....if there is one thing i can remember about last years team...is was not the 1 point loss to texas...it was the loose to iowa state.....that loss did real damage to the huskers image last year.

i did not like it at first..but since we cannot get a playoff system...it would move use closer to a true national champion.

is nebraska joins the big 10,,,its got to have some effect on recruiting texas....the texas kids want to play texas schools, and that is the reason why nu is not a bad choice for them...the big 10 in really in a different part of the country,,,its allmost like playing in the eastern part of the united states....nebraska will have to change their recruiting grounds, unless they can start getting kids from around the country. i hate to see nebraska go to the big 10,,,was hoping they would stay with the texas group, and be invited to the pac 10....nebraska could recruit texas , and could possibly get more california kids......the bottom line with me...i hate to see the mega-conferances, what fun is it to have 3 or 4 big conferances.

nebraska should have a decent yr in 2010....it should help immensely in the recruiting, and its showing allready from last yrs success....the game that hurt nu big time last yr was the iowa state game....that one hurt.

some of the great teams osborn had were not highly ranked in the yearly recruit wars..its been so long ago,,be if my tiny memory recalls correctly..they were in the 14-18 range in the rankings...osborn was a great guy , smart,,,but i was not over-thrilled with his decision to hire solich as a head coach....he had no track record other than assisstant at nu...and his recruiting ablilitys were not up to par for nebraska....solich is a good guy,,but i thought there were better choices out there.

agree...and qb is coming around...green , cains and the turner coming the next year...one of those guys will rise to glory i am thinking.....and lee, he probably will be better this year if his surgery comes around, sounds like he played hurt last year... i see the pac 10 might grab a bunch of schools from the big 12.....god,,,i was hoping nebraska would join the pac 10, instead of the big 10...but i quess travel is a huge consideration there...,,though the schools the pac 10 wants to grab have to travel far too....i live in phoenix..and it would be great to see nu out here ....

i sure like the looks of the 2011 recruiting class, lets just say its better than what i have seen in the past few years.....you now have 4 guys recruited that had offers from michigan, ohio state, and oklahoma...there are at least 2 guys on it that oklahoma tryed to get,,thats impressive.

what happen to ron kellog,,qb....i don,t think hes with the huskers,,is he??? okay..i see he,s on the roster...quess i missed him...wonder how he will perform...one thing i notice..that his speed is not fast, 4.9 in the 40...probably the slowest, or one of the slowest among the huskers gb...speed kills.

i see nu is jumping all over big 10...i had hoped that nu would move to pac 10....has there been any interest from the universtiy to move to the pac 10 for football...i think the big 10 sucks.

there might be 1 or 2 that might jet out of the recruiting class...but the ones we have now..don,t seem that would happen, being most of em are out of state. i was hoping nebraska would join the pac 10, and not the big 10...cannot stand the big 10, even if nu joins it,,,,,just don,t like the teams in it

I hate the "BCers" label. I know a few members here who despise all things BC . . . but still were concerned about Bo's recruiting. I would hate the BCers label too if it was on me. Having a concern about someone being bad at something before you have any reason to be concerned is just insane. Look, if you drive home from work and get home safe and sound, do you concern yourself about it? Nope. But if you drive home and get in a car accident then you concern yourself about and think what you could have done differently, right? Well, Bo gave no one any reason at all to think that him and his staff would not recruit well, so why be "concerned" as you say. 99% of the people "concerned" were BCers, plain and simple. Now, you might be in the 1% but it still seems odd that you would be concerned BEFORE you were shown what Bo and his staff could do. Bumping an ancient thread here . . . but I was never concerned about Bo's recruiting. the coach played at carenes high school...so this is not surprising. you would think someone would rather play for nu than western kentucky....nu probably has a backup plan for another qb

my feelings are that ucla are in it too...... Rick Neuheisel has a thing with young kids...its going to be hard to get owa...

Its a biblical thing. When a child is born parent designate someone(God Parents) they would entrust in caring for the child's religious growth and personal upbringing. That being said a god brother or sister would be the son or daughter of your god parents. I would think if someone entrust there child's life to a person if they die they probably spend a good amount of time with them. Not to nit-pick, but it's not really a biblical thing. It's more of a traditional thing than anything else, as it's not mentioned in the Bible anywhere. Anymore, some families that aren't even "religious" will do it just because the family has always done it. if usf does not hire a new coach soon, i think our chances are good...he would be a good commit..got my fingers crossed..nu needs a qb ,,,,should be getting one every year.

nebraska has interest in Brion Carnes,,,but he has commited to south florida, and it seems he wants to be close to home.....unless nu thinks they can dislodge him, i would not my hopes up to high...he would be a nice one to get if we can Kain Colter looks like a prospect we have a chance for , but nu had not offered,,,just wonder why nu might be interested in march from millard south,,though he has no stars from what i can tell...must be something about the kid nu likes for 2011, jamal turner from texas , is very interested in nu,..top of his list...he would be a great grab, and help the qb situation greatly....he can play many positions,...but wants to play qb...he will make a visit to alabama during junior days..hopefully he will not change his mind...sort of sounds like he might commit soon.

I really think getting a great FRESHMAN O-lineman in this class would be huge. My wish list would be: 1. Cooper 2. Simek 3. Bell 4. Carnes I also think it is possible we see all four in Lincoln and if that would happen, I would be very very very very impressed with this class. Cooper will/would be great, but I really think this class needs another 2 quality recruits to set the team up for future years. I would love, love, love for Simek to commit. im down with cooper bell i'm sorta indiffrent to simek for some reason but would like carnes but i'm also wondering if we will get a 'suprise' type recruit whom we were not real keen on (meaning we all didn't expect to committ or haven't talked to much about them of late on this board)... not saying i know anything.... just have a feeling nu will try hard for a qb...believe me........cooper-his is commited to illinois,,,,doubt we have a chance there, though it would be nice to steal him
