  1. We also have the chance at Fuller committing and maybe moving to receiver too.
  2. This kid is going to have to hit the weight room to play D1 football.
  3. To me, it seemed that he was real relaxed back in the secondary. All the other corners (green, evans, mitchell, cooper) just look like they have way too much going through their head and are not playing football. I realize that our defense is complex and has a lot of reads, but at the end of the day, they just need to settle down and play football. Quit thinking too much.
  4. Me and my buddies are getting green shirts from Dorthy Lynch. They have the Dorthy logo on the front and we are putting a big "N" on the back. We just wanted to stand out and represent something from Nebraska in the process. The shirts are free, so we were happy.
  5. It would be nice to find a way to get some screen passes, flare passes, draws, or direct snaps to any of these guys to get them in the open field. I don't know how creative Beck will be with these guys, but they can open up a whole lot of options for the offense.
  6. Uuuuuummmmmmm...........did you say something.........Go Huskers.
  7. I am not for sure where to post this, but Sean Callahan will be at the Bullseye sports bar and grill in Hastings, NE. This Tuesday (Feb 22nd) from 6-8 pm. Two years ago, I went to an event like this and he had highlight clips of all the recruits and some walkons. He talks about their strengths and weaknesses and how they will fit into the Nebraska system and at what position. He also has some quotes from coaches about the future of the prospects. He also does a Q and A session close to the end, and then will walk around and talk football or whatever for as long as people like. If anyone is in the area and wants to get a little bit of Husker fever on Tuesday, come on out to the Bullseye in Hastings. It should be a good time.
  8. The 49ers may take him at 7. Their three biggest needs are corner, quarterback and DE/OLB (pass rusher). They will probably try to get a free agent quarterback. That will leave them with plenty of options with their pick. Prince, Von Miller, and the guy from North Carolina that was forced to sit out this year. I would love to see them pick Prince as the last Husker they picked (Jay Moore) never saw the field.
  9. Taylor, I doubt would see the field at WR because of his inability to block on the edge. That is one thing that we have always preached at Nebraska. If receivers cannot block, they will not play. Plus, we would need to change the offense quite a bit to take advantage of Taylor's speed and play making ability to get the most benefit out of his abilities at wide out.
  10. They guys on the radio said that Cassidy and Osborne were playing more because they have proved in practice to be better at tackling in the open field.
  11. The CBA may also play an important part of who stays and who goes early next year in the draft. The way I understand it, is that the draft will happen no matter what next year, however, if there is a lockout over the CBA, then there will be no football. If there is a pretty good chance of no football, then I imagine that most players will stay in school for another year. Also, the new CBA may also limit the amount of money that rookies get paid (really only affects the first rounders).
  12. learning from the best defensive player from last year and still learning from one of the best defensive coaches in the game this season, will only help Crick. As long as other players along the line step up the way he did last year, I think he will have a very good season.
  13. I don't know where these rumors of behavior issues came from, but I live in Hastings and have never heard that he had any behavior or character issues before. I could be wrong, but I think, if he was a trouble maker of any kind, I would of heard something about it.
  14. Its all about the money. If the big 12 can get more money by keeping the game there, then that is probably what they are going to do.
  15. If they do not get the CBA figured out, then there might not be a 2011 season. Depending on how long it takes to get things figured out between the players and the owners, the thought of a lockout will keep a lot (most) juniors in college for another season, I would think.
  16. I would think that a few of our coaches will start to get looks after this next season. I think the key for our staff to stay strong is to have a couple position coaches that could move up into the coordinator position to maybe take over. Stoops seemed to always have a coach that could move from a position coach into coordinator and they wouldn't miss a beat. Hopefully we can start to do stuff like that.
  17. i highly doubt that there are many 260 lb high school kids running faster than 4.9 in the 40. in any case, i would hope the days where our DT's have to run 40 yards on a play are over. If we can get a 40 yard sack, I will take it.
  18. Grades before football at OU They don't actually do that, they just make it seem like they put grades before football.
  19. I have watched this kid play basketball. He has very good foot work and would be a great recruit for the football team. He did not impress me enough to say that he would help out our basketball team in the big 12. As for his height, I would say that 6'9 is pretty accurate (give or take an inch).
  20. After looking at the Huskerboard All-time team, does anyone think that Suh should/would be on that team. It is probably too early to do a vote as he is the player that is on everyone's mind. The two we have on there are very very good players but was just interested in seeing if people would vote Suh over Peter and Glover (i think).
  21. This guy is going to be a good one. Bo likes him so much because he reminds him of Larry Asante. Great on the point of attack, very aggressive, and loves to put on a big hit. With a little bit of bo, and company magic, we could turn him into a star. This kid earns my respect! COUP COUP COUP!
  22. This is killing me, everytime I check, there is another new post but nothing about what I really want to see. "That Owa is N". But I guess I am just adding to the problem, sorry about that.
  23. If Cooper liked Stoops so much, why was he not going to Arizona in the first place instead of Illionis.
  24. A five man pass rush with five lineman is a little tougher because spacing is a key to rushing the passer. However, it also limits double team opportunities for the offense unless they keep in a back or tight end to pass protect.
  25. I agree with everyone about the players and people that were picked. I would like to nominate Ron Brown as an inspirational person. I love listening to him speak. He could talk about anything and I will come away more inspired than I was before.
