  1. It's Billy Ray, not Billy Bob, from not another teen movie
  2. I was never really worried about Western Kentucky, but it does make me feel better seeing WKU pick up another QB commit. So it's down to NU or USF, unless some SEC team makes a late charge. In other words, I love our chances too. late charge? at this point it'd be more like a Hail Mary
  3. you can't copy and paste, but you should be able to let us know what they are saying, IIRC
  4. We all would love information about what these kids are thinking, but I dont think we should appear this desperate. Agreed. I know the excitement level is growing, but fbook stalking is creepy, esp on 18y.o. kids. I mean, even sometimes on here I feel like I know too much about these guys, but atleast its a site for husker related news. Plus, im not likely to find out their status on what they are doing after school today as well as their favorite movies. . . Ah... But what if I am a 21 year old female flirting with recruits through facebook? Then it becomes much less creepy. Then we become Lane Kiffin when he was at Tennessee. This. Although if girlknowsfootball looks like the Tennessee hostesses I wouldn't fight it too much. I think we need to see some pics to settle this debate girlknowsfootball you know what you have to do. hahaha... nice try, not gonna happen. But I can promise you that i weigh 1/4 that. haha. and i'm waiting patiently for the internet tough guy to emerge to defend your honor.....
  5. i've got one thats about 9"x9" and 2" deep and cost me $20. Works fine for me What kind? You've peaked my interest, do you have a link? Been looking for something that works and is reasonably priced. As for the original question: Rocky Patel's and Ashton's are my typical choice. Yep any cigar store should have some of the more reasonably priced humidors. just call and ask. You can tell them you are a light smoker, just want one once or twice a week or so, so it doesn't need to be big. I have yet to meet a cigar store proprietor that isn't cool as sh#t. They depend on word of mouth, so they will help you out.
  6. I still remember the first year he played. We all hated him. I still remember that joke that was going around. Q: What do husker fans and farmers have in common? A: Both don't want Frost on their fields lol. But then next year we smacked peyton manning in the face and won the championship. all was forgiven
  7. Best of luck to you, kozzman! Thanks man, I appreciate it. I just sent an email to Jeff asking him what I need to do and what he would recommend for me.
  8. Assuming you qualify academically, then your best bet would be to contact Jeff Jamrog. jjamrog@huskers.com (402) 472-3116 well since i graduated HS i think i'd be ok since i havent gone to any college yet. thanks for the help
  9. What's all involved with walking on? When i get of the Army, I'm going to go back to school, and I'm thinking UNO or UNL. I do want to play football as a punter (I'm pretty decent, punted from the opposing 40 and hit the back of the endzone) and can run 4.5's in the 40. I'd love to think that I'd be able to tryout for the huskers. Can anyone give me a heads up if this is a reality?
  10. That's just the question i was getting ready to ask. With the two big o-line commits, plus now JT, other guys we are going after, Green, Westerman and hopefully some really good receivers want to get on board. We know Bo can recruit defensive guys, I'd like to think that this 2011 recruiting class can really showcase his group's offensive recruiting capabilities. Other recruits have to be following this and saying "I want to get in on this and win a BCS championship"
  11. yep, happy bday. you better regale us with tales of partying, strippers, and watching husker highlights

  14. Where's the punter nomination at? i want to walk on to NU when i get out as a punter
  15. I'll be on a training mission in freakin texas so bite me lol
  16. I'm sure the vets of Desert Storm, Vietnam, and Korea would beg to differ. I give respect to the last two...but Desert Storm? Come on, man...two plane flights and some walks in the sand. A lot of my NCO's had been single stripers for Desert Storm and all they did was bitch constantly about how much GWOT sucked. You don't get to pick and choose where you are to go, so I don't short change anyone's service. I'm just thankful for what they do, when I know they'd rather be home with their families. lol this was more for the late 70's and 80's and 90's guys. Back then, if you had a combat patch and a CIB you were hot sh#t.
  17. Maybe you should call Bo and Watson and warn them before they make such a huge mistake? Give HuskerCrazy a break, he played with Ritch Bahe (that's how his name is spelled Crazy) - in a 1971 HS conference championship game. I didn't know Scottsbluff ever played in the same conference as Fremont but, as EZ would say - I've learned to take HC's word as Gospel. Such a close tie to the Husker football program warrants a little respect around here. if he's that old, maybe his memory is going out?
  18. i don't im afraid. it's probably a xicar or something. pretty much every cigar store has a selection of humidor's. the smaller ones aren't going to be very expensive. just make sure you keep some distilled water or you can buy a special solution and put that in yoiur humidor. before putting the cigars in it, you have to prep the wood inside the humidor, otherwise it will suck up the moisture leaving your cigars all nasty and dry
  19. Nope. Can't say I ever remember playing Alabama for the Nat Championship Was referring to the unfinished business part after losing a close NC game. As far as Alabama, goes, 1971. Ah, that's why i don't remember. i was -15 years old then.
  20. exactly. The way Dell can keep their prices so low is by introducing you with TONS of bulk-ware. The moment you start up your first brand new Dell you'll notice you have like 100's of programs already installed on the thing. Your computer is a walking advertisement. That, and for $300 you get the barebones of a computer (lots come with only 256-512MB of RAM...barely enough for the OS to function). regarding the people hacking Apple products, that will always happen no matter what the manufacture. If a human can build it...a human can always hack it. It's that simple. that's not true. it's mathmatically possible to make a hack proof computer. the problem is that it takes a ton of time to manually write everything, and it will be slower than conventional computers. now, this is all what my computer genius friend is telling me, but from what i understand, a lot of the vulnerabilities come from translation errors between the different computer programming languages that they use. by doing it all in one language, you can eliminate that....ok, im pretty sure that's the gist of what he said, if im wrong, lemme know and ill ask him about it
  21. I haven't tried the vintage 1999 but i have tried the vintage 1990 and 1992 and i have to say i was very impressed. very smooth, lots of flavor, medium body. both, really good cigars. i tried the CAO american and i didnt find it too heavy, i found it somewhat lacking in flavor. its odd, i like most of their cigars. that was the first one i didnt care for too much. and the cognac dipped gurkha's are great. they come in a wax sealed glass tube, so they are easy to spot. there's one or two cigar shops around omaha (can't remember which ones) that have them. gurkha's 1887 reserve is also a great cigar.
  22. With our schedule and BO keeping pretty tight reins on the ship, i think the only team that can beat us next year, is ourselves. no bs
  23. i've got one thats about 9"x9" and 2" deep and cost me $20. Works fine for me
