The old style offense would be just fine with me. As stated above though, its gonna take a couple years to get the right players to fit it. & be ready for a mass of current players to transfer. IIRC, Colin Cowherd said a long time ago that NU would be just fine sticking with the option offense because we cant compete with west coast & southern teams in trying to recruit 5* WR's. Go to Fla. of Nebraska? Not a hard decision for a kid that doesnt like to be cold. If we change, we would only be competing with Ga. Tech in recruiting mainly. (service acadamies I'm not including because you cant win a recruiting war against Uncle Sam) If you're gonna do it, do it now. Goood fit in Big 10 though.

I do believe that the NCAA has banned chewing tobacco. I remember it stemmed from the College World Series with all the baseball players with big wads of dip. It looked bad because of all the kids watching.

On one hand, I think this gamme will be called pretty evenly by the refs because both teams are leaving the Texass 12. But on the other hand, if we lose, we most likely dont go to the CCG & that would make Beebe happy. After watching the last two games & our offensive struggles, I really dont think Watson has some "In Case of Emergency" plan that suits CG if tmart goes down. Its obvious, the coaches have gone back into the shell they were in all of last year hoping the defense will win the game & the offense will just occupy the clock. Ive been pumped up before the last two games thinking CG would magically turn into Vince Young but Im not seeing it tomorrow. Probably another 6-3 thriller is my thought. Sad, yes. Realistic, yes. Overall, the run D was acceptable. Cant speak for anybody else but what frustrates me is the fact that we give up chunks of yardage at inopportune times. No matter how good the Pelinis are at D, you cant succeed on a regular basis when your opponent has 2nd & 4 every time. Its not the overall yardage, its when its given up.

Major props to Z. Lee. Kid couldve tanked it this year after being told he was no longer the starter, but he kept his head up & kept working hard to do whats best for the team. Great character.

E-mart yucking it up on the sidelines isnt that great of a thing to see. Clean or dirty, when they are carting a guy off the field, its not cool to be laughing on the sidelines wit your boys

Outside of the original Big 8 teams, the only team Im gonna miss is AtM. Went down there a few years ago for the game & have never felt so welcomed & respected by a rival fan base than theirs. Going to College Station should be on your bucket list of places to see a football game. It also helps that I think they hate Texassss more than we do. After the game their fans were cool that we beat them, they just really wanted us to beat ut.

Very impressive. Kick coverage obviously needs to be shored up, but other than that, T-magic & Lavonte David have us on the right track this year. with all the running/option qbs we 've had here, the numbers tmagic is putting up is stacking up well. Gotta keep it going though.
